On the same topic of my last ask, I started something that might be the best way of going about it.
Having an opposite section and when there's no opposite, organizing them by their similarities. Labeling them as multi or mono as I go, which also solves the issue of labels like Similosexual: category depending on other factors.
I know I'm asking you a lot of questions, but I really need the opinion of someone who really knows something. My specialty is gender but the book felt incomplete with it just being about that.
Thank you for listening and offering help, it means the world to me💖💕
yeah it's no prob! but yeah, i'm glad you found a middle ground. let me know if you have any more questions and i'll try to be of better help :)

I'm asking around seeing what I should do, because I'm honestly scared about picking the wrong option.
So I've recently received a list of multi-spectrum identities, but some of them fall under my definition of mono-spectrum. "Attraction to one gender or one gender umbrella."
So should I
A- change my definition for the book in wix people who identify as mono-spectrum being insulted.
B- keep my definition and whisk insulting multi Spectrum in individuals of which I have one.
Or C- throw away the organization I have and just put it all as allo Spectrum.
I honestly can't decide for myself, because it's stuck between it workload and representation.
i think it depends on what the labels in question are. would you mind providing a list of those identities so i can better help categorize them?
because that is what mono-spectrum means. labels do exist for a reason and should be held accurately or else they hold no meaning at all. i'm just generally confused as to what you mean by all of this!

"i don't mean to sound insensitive, but [perfectly valid and respectfully phrased question]?"
yall. i will NEVER find it rude if you are asking a question with completely good intentions. it's okay to not know everything. i don't know everything. i always appreciate the effort you guys put out to be polite!

Bop culture is having no idea if you have a gender preference or not bc confusing sexuality things, but feeling content not knowing :)
i'm glad you're content with how things are! don't force yourself to need to know, it'll likely work itself out in time. things and preferences can change over time, too, so don't feel like you need to push yourself into a box. sexuality can be confusing, but you'll figure your stuff out! <33

bop culture is I can't tell which label I like more that describes me liking all people- bisexual or pansexual
ah, the classic internal debate.
honestly, since 'bisexual' is such a broad term, you could use either! it all comes down to whether you want a broader, flexible term or something more specific.

oh! my bad! yeah, i can't think of any that you don't have, maybe the -flexible labels? i can also think of uranic and neptunic labels, but that's it (this is an opportunity for anyone in the tags to add on)
and thanks for being so kind towards my stupidity lmao
i'm gonna be really honest, i haven't even heard of that! but a big plus about running this blog is that i get to learn about new terms from lovely people like you! thanks so much <33
side note: i took a sec to open ur account and by god your art is so cute
Hello! I was wondering if you would mind helping me fill in any gaps I might have in my mspec orientation prefix list?
I have:
Androgyno-
Abro-
Agento-
Ambi-
Bi-
Omni-
Pan-
Ply-
and Xen-
not exactly sure what you mean, but sure i can help define those!
Androgyn— the root "andro" means "male" and "gyn" means "female" so together, it means someone who either exhibits both of those traits or just doesn't fit into the boxes of feminine or masculine in terms of presentation.
Abro—the root actually means "delicate," but when used to describe a person as "abroromantic" or sexual, it means that your sexuality is actively fluid and that you may, for example, be asexual one day, bisexual another, and gay in a couple of weeks.
Agento—gonna be really honest the only thing i can find for this is "silver" or "white," and even then i don't understand the relevance and what this is a reference towards in gender or sexuality, but it comes from latin if that helps.
Ambi— means "both" or "around," so an ambivert would be someone who is both an introvert and an extrovert, and it could also be used to describe gender or sexuality (similar to abrosexual)
Bi— the prefix means "both" or "two," but in terms of bisexuality, this is misleading. bisexuality can include all genders, it just means you like two OR MORE. it does include trans people and nonbinary people and always has :)
Omni— the root means "all," so "omniromantic" or "omnisexual" would be a person who likes all genders, but the thing that makes this label unique is that these people do have a preference for a specific gender.
Pan— means "all" or "everything," this is just the Greek form of the latin "omni." however, pansexual/panromantic people do not have a preference towards a specific gender and consider themselves gender blind. the same goes for pangender people in their experience of gender.
Poly (i know you put 'ply' as the shortening of 'polysexual,' which i use too, but ply itself is not the root)— means "many," so polysexual/romantic people would experience attraction to 2 or more genders. in polyamory, this means that you are attracted to many individual people.
Xen— means "stranger" or "guest," which in "xenophobia" would mean "fear of foreigners or strangers." I am also not sure what you meant by including this in an mspec dictionary but if you'd like me to correct myself, i 100% will.

bop culture is wearing a bi pin even though youve only crushed on the opposite gender once or twice
don't let anyone tell u that you're not valid for that, bisexuality is a spectrum. it is not always 50/50! you are still bi! <3

lol today i was talking to one of my pan friends and she mentioned how she has a tumblr but never uses it and i was like "lol i have a queer positivity blog" and she got all excited and started asking about it and i said that i usually try to stay out of discourse but some people (battle-ax bisexuals) tried to rope me into it a while back because i said pan people were valid
and she misheard me and thought i said "WEREN'T valid" and i was like no honey no i love pan people so much
anyways if ur pan i love u and ur valid and bi/pan solidarity is very good and cool (and we should kiss)
sincerely,
ur friendly neighborhood bi person :)

bop culture is only ever dating people of the opposite gender because it’s much more likely a person is straight (or mspec) than gay (or mspec) :/
ugh, i know, and then straight people and biphobic gay people are all up ur ass for being "straight-passing" when in reality it's just more likely that you have chemistry with an opposite-sex straight/mspec person ://
i feel u brother

how do i know whether im bisexual or pansexual? im a little confused. i identify as agender
mspec labels are a lot more fluid than other LGBTQ+ labels, so a lot of it is up to personal preference. if you experience attraction to 2 or more genders (whether or not you have a preference) you CAN identify as bisexual. pansexual is just a more specific term.
i've had people in my life express confusion towards this before, especially when i explain that i'm attracted to all genders with a preference towards feminine people. a friend of mine went "well, isn't that technically omnisexual?" no, it's not. because i am not comfortable with that label, so i am bi.
however, if you want the "most specific" label, the difference between pansexual and bisexual is as follows.
"bisexual" is a lot more broad of a term. it just means you are attracted to 2 or more genders.
"pansexual" means that you experience attraction towards all genders with absolutely no preference. if you generally don't see yourself leaning more towards a specific gender but you could be attracted to anyone, you can use the term "pansexual."
just keep in mind that your comfort comes first! hope this helped! <3
