We’re only supposed to get a partial eclipse here in Minnesota, but it’s supposed to rain anyway. The swath from Texas to Maine, through the middle of the country, should get a spectacular view. Can’t wait for the photos.

Anyone recognize this book? My husband found it in our son’s (he’s 44 now) box of memorabilia. As my husband was reading it he became upset and then emotional as he read the final chapter. A compelling story of a young boy who witnesses his best friends drowning and then his subsequent web of lies. We discussed it at length and then I read the last chapter myself and was in tears. This book was part of the weekly reader offerings back in the 80’s. A sad story with powerful lessons.
