Today it would have been John Lennon’s 82nd birthday. I don’t want to drone on about how this man means so much to me, he has been my favourite Beatle almost since the day i entered the Beatles community. His music has helped through a lot and his lyrics never fail to evoque every type of emotion in me. So, i’ll keep it short;

Today marks what would of been Brian Epstein’s 88th birthday. I cannot begin to put into words how much this furniture and record salesman from Liverpool who somehow ended up managing the biggest band in the world means to me. I’ve sat and researched about him, collected pictures, watched movies, read books, witnessed a whole statue be built for him finally in 2022. Brian’s willingness to try his best when faced with problems, the mistakes he committed and sadder parts of his life are what proves to me what a strong person he really was. I don’t think i could make a post short enough to post if i listed everything that makes me love him so much. So i’ll mark this post finished with:

I think it’s rather good, very theatre-y so of course it makes sense that Brian liked it! It also reminds me of Spanish music slightly although the singer, Caterina Valente, is originally French.

I had the lovely pleasure last week of seeing the Brian Epstein statue that’s finally been placed on Whitechapel! It was so fabulous to officially see it in person, it’s just as amazing as it looks online, it feels otherworldly to stand before it and to even just look at it. I’ve been following this project for a few years now and it did make me very emotional to see a project made to commemorate our dear Brian finally completed ♡

I thought i would pop back on here from my hiatus to talk about the unveiling of the Brian Epstein statue today in Liverpool!

Today, they installed this statue on the corner of Button Street and Whitechapel. Today also marks the 55th anniversary of Brian’s passing.

Now, i certainly do not consider myself a Brian Epstein expert, but when i say i love this man with my entire heart, i mean it. This project has been going on for five years now and i’m so happy that after so many years, Brian is finally getting a bit of the recognition he deserves. I haven’t had the privilege of seeing this masterpiece yet, but i will next week, and i simply cannot wait!
