I'm sure that new Harley podcast is wonderful but the amount of j*rley shippers flooding into her tag because of it has me Heavily side eying it.
Like can we stop? Can we please fucking stop?? Can we move past glamorizing Harley's relationship and origin with that abusive fuckhead? We don't need more retellings of her origin, we know. Stop painting it like he wasn't manipulating her and using her as a means to escape. It's insulting to her actual story that's weaved throughout all 30 years of her existence.
It's disgusting.

the way I actually enjoyed Jason Momoa in the first Aquaman movie but like, I sure as shit can't go back and rewatch it cause I will just get physically angry every time she appears on screen. Same with the sequel, whenever it comes out, I'm just not gonna watch it at all, one cause obvi not gonna financially endorse them keeping on a domestic abuser, but also two cause I don't wanna watch an abuser on screen I'll just be pissed the whole time that they didn't recast her.

Honestly I think that this would work so well for some reason, I love it 🥰
I finally have a straight ship but of course it's unpopular.

I dont care about Punchline at all but if her existence finally causes DC to push Harley forward as a character I'll take it. Though Harley should NOT be Batfam. She can be an anti hero in Gotham, but stop handcuffing her to play be Batman's rules.

I think it's funny (haha so hilarious 💀) how hated Harley is for being "overrated" and how DC is just pushing her into everything, when she's only been this popular since 2016.
It's only been like 5 years.
Like yeah, of course DC is gonna put her in stuff, she's one of their most popular characters now. Go cry about it.
Cause sure, she was a fan favorite before, but you're purposefully being ignorant if you think Margot's portrayal of her in Suicide Squad (2016) wasn't what pushed her into being a household known name.
She's only been this popular for a fraction of the time compared to characters like Batman and Joker, but she's being grouped in with them as an overrated and overused character when she's only even existed for like a blip in comparison to their decades of history and appearances.
like seriously, fuck off.
Let us enjoy having a canonly bisexual woman be a headlining character for a large comic company.
Let us enjoy Harley being an iconic, popular character that is entirely disconnected from her piece of shit ex. Cause her recent popularity has nothing to do with him.
She's popular because Harley Quinn is a good character who's fully capable of standing on her own, regardless of what subsections of DC community might be pushing with their common narrative about how she needs her abuser's presence to be worthwhile.
Like, frankly, she's not overrated because she's worth the fucking hype.
Her story has meaning. It always has.
Some of y'all just don't actually know shit about her character and think her only role is to exist for you to gawk at or be Joker's henchwoman and it really fucking shows.
