Logan’s Playlist Song 4:

Fitter Happier 0:00 - 0:31 Okay so nothing important has happened so far, but one of the lyrics are “careful to all animals (never washing spiders down the plughole)” and to me that is amazing. Also so far in the song, it sounds like that it’s just advice on how to live your life as well as you can.

0:31 - 1:57 (end of song) Now I had to look up the lyrics here because the rest of the song was hard to hear because it was getting a little bit static-y, BUT I did find a couple of the lyrics REALLY messed up. For example: No longer afraid of the dark or midday shadows Nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate Nothing so childish At a better pace Slower and more calculated No chance of escape Now self-employed Concerned (but powerless) An empowered and informed member of society (pragmatism not idealism) Will not cry in public Less chance of illness

Now, this at the surface just sounds a bit sad, but no, “Will not cry in public” the side that says he doesn’t have feelings, but this one line is one of the only things about him that I’ve seen that isn’t fanfiction that has Logan admit that he is having trouble with the very thing that he has shown us, time and time again, that he hates and that he doesn’t understand this. I could probably look into this

Logan’s Playlist Song 3:

Algorythm: 0:00 - 0:58 there is a lot to unpack here, there is a line at about 45 seconds, that stands out to me, “Made us the ginny pig and did it with no permission” This could mean a couple of things, 1) Thomas and the other sides, have made him this way, and he didn’t have a choice, or 2) There was something else. We still don’t know what the orange side is, and they might be making Logan act the way he does, and made him this way, out of his own fear. Another line that stood out to me is; “I dream in colour not black and white” after thinking about this line for about 5-10 minutes, I realised what this is about. The others think that his logical and with that, you can only see black and white not all the shades in between, but this line adds more than that phrase alone, it adds colour. The other sides see him as a light switch, a yes and a no, but they never see what is behind the switch that all the wires that make him think and FEEL thousands of things.

0:58 - 1:08 “Humans dont understand, humans gon’ sell a lie.” This shows that Janus is accepted (mostly by Thomas but what their host says the sides must do) “Humans gotta survive, we know we gon’ die” This I dont really know what this could mean, but there is something there that I just cant find. “Nothing can live forever, you know we gon’ try” i see this as Logan starting to give up on his job in Thomas’ mind.

1:08 - 1:55 The chorus of the song isnt that interesting, but what comes after it he mentions both Remus (with the lyric “pressure is to evolve, take a bite of the apple” it might be showing a reference to the song Remus sang where he was first introduced) and Janus (with the lyric “how do we know the truth” as it should be known that Janus is literally deceit, so he would know what is the truth and what isn’t). Logan for the rest of that verse, he says that what he could be feeling is false, and that he is afraid that if he is given, freedom he is afraid he will start doing things wrong, that that he could be lost if he was free.

1:55 - 2:11 The first half of this verse is Logan saying that he is willing to do what the ‘devil’ says (Most likely the orange side) because if he doesn’t he is going to fall behind, or in other terms, not keep up with the others, and be forgotten even more. The rest of the verse says that everyone else is eating good, which could be describing as the others being almost first-class citizens, they just got lucky in what trait that they got when they were ‘assigned’ or ‘created’ by Thomas. It almost sounds like Logan is describing that in the world, some people were at the food-chain and are now at the bottom. I’m under the age of 18 and have never been in the real world, so this is just based on my VERY limited knowledge I have. The verse ends off by saying “Human ain’t the move, do I care now” and straight after that says “Looking for something worth it, the algorhytum is perfect” And yes that is how it is spelt according to https://www.lyricfind.com/

2:11 - 3:30 (end of song) There really isn’t much that is said here except for the chorus and a couple of pointless lines at the end

Logan Playlist Song 2:

White & Nerdy: 0:00 - 0:53 Logan says that he still has a mysoace account, it has also been shown that Virgil still keeps his myspce page up because it will rebound. This means, 1) Logan is keeping it a secret or 2) Virgil (or any of the other sides) know that he has one. If its the latter, this could go one of three ways, the first is that the side that has found out and is keeping it a secret (Most likely Virgil, Janus or way also be Patton, but unlikely). The second is that the side told Logan and he asked them to keep it a secret (This could be Patton or Janus with a small chance of it being Virgil). The last way that it could go is terrifying, this would mean that either Logan had to do something in order of the side in question (Most likely Remus, but could be Roman if he was angry enough at him) to not tell anyone (For Remus, it mighty be sex, if it is Roman i dont know what he would want Logan to do) or that the side that knows told everyone else, this would also explain why in both cases, Logan is always terrified that he would be outed as a ‘joke’. We haven’t gotten an answer as to why he said that, I might also be looking WAY too far into this, or I could be MatPat and be a genius, but i dont know at this point.

0:53 - 1:10 the song says that the theme song to ‘happy days’ is his favourite theme song, and after listening to the original happy days theme song, i realised that it said a lot that makes it sound like, Logan is in love with someone, and just wants to hold them, and that everything seems fine when they are just holding each other. At the end of the song the lyrics are “these days are such happy days”. This could say Logan just wants to be happy with the person he loves, but im not even halfway though the second song and there are 20 songs in this playlist.

1:10 - 1:34 The line “I’d like to roll with the gangsters, but im just too white and nerdy” This I think is a big part of how Logan feels, he feels like he cant be with the others, and he wishes he could be on the same level with them. I believe that in his head, the ‘gangsters’ are better than the ‘nerds’ this ties in with what every light side has said to him at one point or another. For Roman, there is way too many to count with how many times he has insulted Logan because he’s a nerd. This is known by one of his harshest insults, in the moving on videos while they were in Patton’s room. Roman called Logan a ‘sub-astute teacher’ with a smirk on his face. Not to mention Patton asks him to stop less than 5 seconds later in the video. (This happened in ‘MOVING ON Part 1 / 2’ 15:32) With Virgil, it is telling Logan in ‘dealing with intrusive thoughts’ that he wasn’t helpful by saying ‘Thomas can’t LOGIC his way out of this one’ they then proceed to ignore him until they were in danger and turned to Logan for help. After than Logan took care of Remus, single-handedly, and told for (i believe) for the first time a simple ‘thank you’, from when they show started (October 20th 2016) to the day DWIT was released (June 25th 2019) and this was the first time ANY of the sides had said ‘thank you’ to Logan for doing his job, Logan even says in that video that he was just doing his job, and the way that was phrased sounded like he wasn’t often thanked for, taken advantage of in some sense.

1:34 - 1:40 The song says ‘think i’m just too white and nerdy’ two times before saying ‘how did i get so white and nerdy’ this wasn’t a very big thing, but i do think this means, that Logan is aware that he wasn’t taken seriously, and his ‘too nerdy’ for everyone else.

1:40 - 1:57 ‘when my friends need some code, who do they call?’ This song is openly saying that Logan, by the standards of most people, is being taken advantage of. As i said in the part before, Logan is acknowledging it, he knows that they ask him every chance they get.

1:57 - 2:07 The song says here, that he hopes that the ‘gangsters’ (the other sides) dont see him do what he likes so Logan keeps it hidden. In the show, there are a lot of times Logan holds back his opinions, he stops himself from doing what he wants for his reputation.

2:07 - 2:50 (end of song) there is a lot to say that happened in his last 43 seconds, but i wanted to put it all in one. The lyric ‘they see me strolling, they’re laughing’ to me says, that still no matter what, we will get laughed at. From there the rest of the song just says, he wishes he was like the others, and that he doesn’t want to be who he is.
