I don’t wanna add on much but I can’t reiterate how much she’s disappointed a lot of us over the years. I in no way can speak for those who those who live in the Philippines but as a proud filo from from Canada I wanna make sure her fans from Canada, US, etc. understand what she stands for not only with the black lives matter movement.

sigh manila’s tweets are disappointing but not surprising, honestly. 

us filipinos know that shes always been iffy as hell coz she supports the marcoses aka the dynasty of the worst dictator in our history and the family that RUINED the country and robbed us of our economy. to this day we are still facing the repercussions of what the marcos era did to the philippines, and even our current dictator is following in his footsteps. manila has chosen to not only dismiss all of this but continues to humanize and idolize them for the sake of “positivity” and not wanting to get political saying it’s all behind us now. bitch, it’s behind YOU as a privileged fil-am who doesnt care about your motherland but continuously uses your pinoy pride for clout. you don’t have to live through what we live through. and now, defending cops? BITCH apart from the atrocious crimes happening in the states now, do you know what the cops have done to your “countrymen” here? how many indigenous schools they’ve bombed? how many activist leaders tortured and left for dead? how many innocent people shot dead in the street like dogs? how many women raped in custody, children slain in their own homes, lives fucking ruined by those fucking bastards? 

you’re not a filipino. you call yourself manila luzon but don’t even know what’s happening in the streets of your very own namesake. get the fuck out of my face
