“In 2004 I worked as an intern in Newsweek and had to go through the wires coming in from the Middle East.

The Iraq war was raging. Israel was committing its routine violations and killings.

The images were devastating and unequivocally condemning of both the USA and Israel, but I remember the editors would reject all my picks and demand images of burnt cars or vague images of destruction.

So I brought a hard drive and collected everything they didn't publish.

It was my first live glimpse of the lack of ethics or integrity in most US media.

Not the journalists on the ground, but of the senior editors making the calls - in their self important glass cubicles.

And no, to the cynics out there..it's not all too complicated to discuss on social media.

Social media is the only reason we know what's happening in Palestine.

And the only reason mainstream news has to keep up and sprinkle some actual news now and then.

Meanwhile we are seeing much less footage coming out of Gaza - Israel has been killing off all the journalists.

This is terrifying.”

Not gonna lie, my morale is at the lowest point it's been since the beginning of the invasion. Russians are successfully occupying more and more territories and shell frontline regions every day. People are dying, our culture and herritage is destroyed. International aid dwindled significantly because of american bullshit. Mobilization law has been signed and there is a chance that my family members get conscripted soon. Don't even get me started on internal political problems. A bunch of articles in foreign media talking about our defeat and "peace talks" (what a joke).

It feels like there were no at least moderately good news in a while. On top of that, the feeling that we are screaming into the void is stronger than ever. I'm happy when I see a foreigner online supporting us and spreading the word, because it gets rarer. Ukrainians feel like none of what's happening gets outside our info bubble. Most likely no one but Ukrainians will see this post either. Honestly don't know what to make of all of this.

Not that mainstream media would make a note of this, but Iran has said multiple times that it’s wishing de-escalate. Israel launched a drone attack against Iran a few days ago, but Iran shot it down without retaliation. It even actively played it down so that it didn’t have to retaliate, so that the confrontation could end where it did. It’s Israel that’s continuously attacking Iran and its allies. It’s Israel that’s trying to escalate this. It’s literally them.

Holy shit. Massive bombing on an Iraqi military base. One killed and eight wounded. Both the US and Israel deny involvement, but their stench is literally all over this. This came not even two weeks after the US said it was not planning to intervene. I’m so fucking sick right now.

yes!!! i think everyone should learn about the freedom flotilla, which is setting sail for gaza very soon and needs to have eyes and ears on it, as israel has a long history of attacking, raiding and occaisonally killing humanitarian workers on aid ships to gaza, as they did in 2010 with the first freedom flotilla (because that's how long Gaza has been under siege)

I'm not much of a propaganda person in most cases, but I want to note that I think people who say "well Mob has powers" are missing the point of his character! The whole theme of MP100 is about how having psychic powers is Just Another Trait like any other, and that it doesn't make you any better than people without them. Mob being "just some guy" makes sense for him! He really is just a kid who got wrapped up into a world-ending plot because of unfortunate circumstances. He's a regular student who likes to exercise, drink milk, has trouble socializing, and just so happens to have psychic powers. The crowd that Mob hangs out with are all way more eccentric and out-there than him (Teru's loud egotism, Reigen being a conman, Dimple being Dimple, Tome being invested in aliens, even Ritsu has a sharp amount of sass), which highlights how natural and normal Mob seems to be compared to the others. He's the perfect protagonist to have for a series about understanding that all people are just simply people, and his role as being an ordinary, anxious student who's just trying to get through his life really highlights this message! He really is just some guy!
