Happy to say I got to witness the Great American Eclipse pretty freaking well where I was in Jersey. Even with the cloud cover, it was spectacular during maximum coverage.
For those who haven't heard, there was just an earthquake in New Jersey.
Right now, it's being measured at a 4.8 on the scale. I'm well-aware that many people live in places where earthquakes of a higher magnitude than that happen, but this is an incredibly, incredibly rare event for where I live. The shaking was very intense and lasted 20-30 seconds. Thankfully, where I live suffered no damage that I'm aware of. If you were in it, I sincerely hope you're okay.
