Noise Exclusive: Discover Rude Records Newcomers Wilder Via Vibrant New Single “Oh No”
Tumblr media
If your new music radar is in need of a major refresh, you’ve come to the right place. With the help of Rude Records, The Noise is pleased to introduce you to a brand new project from former Hearts Like Lions members Stephen Ramos and Nick Sturz.
Coming together to create the lively new duo Wilder., today for the very first time, Ramos and Sturz are showing off their jangly indie rock single “Oh No.”
Inspired by how their new band came to be, as Ramos and Sturz note, “Oh No” is all about new beginnings.
“Sometimes a fresh start is really what you need,” explains the Long Beach musicians. “This song really embodies the path to how Wilder. came to be.”
The two added, “This song, like our other songs, has colorful, bright instrumentals that mask very honest, vulnerable lyrics. ‘I got what I want, still kinda feel lost.’ This is just a small insight to an internal struggle of starting something new yet not really knowing the outcome of what this new endeavor will bring us.”
“But man,” they conclude, “we are stoked. Let’s get wild.”
For your first taste of hopefully many new tunes from Wilder., be sure to look below. For more from the band, head here.

SeeYouSpaceCowboy Unleash New Single “Painting A Clear Picture From A Unreliable Narrator”
Tumblr media
Preparing to release their upcoming split with If I Die First titled A Sure Disaster, San Diego “sasscore” act SeeYouSpaceCowboy has just unleashed their brand new single “Painting A Clear Picture From A Unreliable Narrator.”
Continuing where they left off with their previously released joint track “bloodstainedeyes,” as vocalist Connie Sgarbossa notes, the latest from the Pure Noise Records act is both a glimpse of band’s past and future.
“We are really excited to share this track because I think it serves as a good sample for how we have been approaching music for SYSC for the future,” she shares. “Over quarantine we spent a lot of time writing and discussing what we wanted to do moving forward and we came to the conclusion we wanted to create something that was distinctly us again.”
Sgarbossa adds, “So we explored combining the old elements that we identified most with us back in the day, the sass and hectic weird nature and played around with pairing that with more melody and emotion and I think this track is indicative of that evolution of us as a band as well as reclaiming our identity.”
To check out the new throwback-sounding single, be sure to look below. Afterward, make sure to pre-order A Sure Disaster before it hits stores May 14th.

Like Moths To Flames Debut ‘No Eternity In Gold’ B-Sides “Basilisk” and “Inherit The Tragedy”
Tumblr media
Fresh off last year’s punishing release of No Eternity In Gold, longtime metalcore act Like Moths To Flames has just shared two brand new tracks.
Taken from the writing and recording process for their latest album, the band’s newest songs give classic Like Moths To Flames vibes with hard-hitting musicianship, fiery vocals, and sweeping hooks.
Commenting on the tracks, frontman Chris Roetter says, “Both ‘Basilisk’ and ‘Inherit The Tragedy’ are songs that I was super torn on cutting from the record. ‘Basilisk’ covers the experience of being so rooted in your own problems that you're detached from what's happening around you.”
“I think we all tend to get stuck in letting our struggles become our identity,” he adds. “‘Inherit the Tragedy’ follows the more classic themes that [the] band has offered out in the past. We've never been a stranger to writing songs focused on cutting the chord from someone who becomes dead weight.”
To check out both “Basilisk” and “Inherit The Tragedy,” be sure to look below. To stream the tracks, head here.

Hear Members Of Taking Back Sunday & Wu-Tang Clan Feature On New “Verrazzano Villains” Track
Tumblr media
Just when you thought Fuckin’ Whatever (the acapella super group with Anthony Green) would be the most unique release this year from Taking Back Sunday’s Adam Lazarra and John Nolan, think again.
Today, the two emo stalwarts have shared their latest track with none other than -- get ready for this -- DJ Eclipse, Q-Unique, and Wu Tang Clan's Cappadonna.
That’s right, joining forces for the underground hip-hop joint “Verrazzano Villains,” Lazarra and Nolan can be heard laying down their distinctive vocals over a rugged rap beat.
Commenting on how the whole crossover track came together, Q-Unique’s label Red Right Recordings said, “Q-Unique came to collaborate with Red Right Recordings through our mutual friend, Sam Hoyos (lead singer for Playing Dead). Ever since creating the label in 2017, we’ve been searching for an MC that aligned with our vision. Q has been a natural fit since the day we met him and we think ‘Verrazzano Villains’ is just the beginning of a collaboration that we think is going to produce some of Q-Unique’s best work yet.”
They added, “How the single came about was Cappadonna jumped on the track after linking up with us and taking a liking to it. Then we got bandmates Adam Lazzara and John Nolan for the hook; followed by us asking Q’s longtime friend and manager, DJ Eclipse (host of the weekly mix show “Rap is Outta Control” on Eminem's SiriusXM channel, Shade 45), to do the scratches.”
To check out the eye-popping new single, which gives a whole new definition to “emo rap,” be sure to look below.

The Devil Wears Prada Debut Punishing Lead Track From Upcoming ‘ZII’ EP
Tumblr media
With fans anxiously awaiting the release of The Devil Wears Prada’s ZII EP, the long-awaited follow-up to 2010′s Zombie EP, today the band has dropped their punishing lead single “Termination.”
Inspired by recent pandemic-related events, as vocalist Mike Hranica notes, the new ear-thumping metalcore track points out people’s flaws when it comes to only looking out for themselves.
“I learned during the COVID-19 pandemic to imagine how a virus can seriously compromise our lives,” says Hranica. “‘Termination’ makes mention of that and the greed that so often comes when humans fend only for themselves or when lying to protect reputation.”
As for how the new song might relate to past releases, Hranica adds, “I didn't want to remake any part of the lyrical imaginings of the first EP, and the transformation mentioned in “Termination” is a part of the new territory I hoped to create for ZII.”
To check out The Devil Wears Prada’s powerful new single, be sure to look below. Afterward, make sure to pre-order ZII before it’s released May 21 via Solid State Records.

Noise Exclusive: Stream The Outspoken New Record From Political UK Punks Harker
Tumblr media
For those in the US wondering if politics is a sensitive and stressful topic for others outside the country, just ask UK punk rock act Harker.
For their brand new Wiretap Records release Axiom, the outspoken outfit has put their local government on blast as they stand up against issues they face on a daily basis.
“Axiom is a document on the disconnection we feel with the UK’s current political and social climate,” says vocalist/guitarist Mark Boniface. “As we reach the 10th year living under a right-leaning government, we now face challenges of closed borders, increased police occupation, and dirty politics.”
Boniface adds, “We hope Axiom becomes a blueprint for those wanting to take action against their oppressors -- a manifesto towards forming a society where compassion, empathy, and understanding conquers the greed of the elite few.”
If this sounds like something you can get behind -- a world run for the betterment of the people -- you’re in luck as today The Noise is streaming Harker’s brand new album one day early before it’s officially released.
To check out all 10 tracks like the fiery “The Beast Must Die” and honest “Adulthood,” be sure to look below. To grab a copy of Axiom, head here.

August Burns Red Drop Re-Recorded Version Of “Poor Millionaire” Featuring Fit For A King’s Ryan Kirby
Tumblr media
Continuing to stay busy during lockdown, August Burns Red has just shared some exciting news around their 2011 record Leveler.
Just a few days after sharing their newest Guardians Sessions EP, the hardworking metalcore act has revealed plans to drop a re-recorded version of their fourth full-length album.
Featuring guest spots from Trivium’s Matt Heafy, Periphery’s Misha Mansoor and Fit For A King’s Ryan Kirby, the reworked Leveler LP is set to hit stores May 21st with a supporting livestream happening the following day.
Commenting on the upcoming re-release, guitarist JB Brubaker said, “Leveler is a record we’ve always been proud of and we wanted to do something special for its ten-year anniversary. We’ve done some cool remix projects for previous albums when they’ve turned 10, but with Leveler, we decided to kick things up a notch. COVID has kept us off the road for such a long time that we found ourselves with a rare opportunity to take on this unique project.”
“We dove into this record and dissected the songs,” Brubaker adds, “rewriting solos, changing the tunings, adding new textures and elements, and got a few of our friends to do some guest spots as well. Our longtime producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland handled the recording/mixing and helped us take Leveler to new sonic heights. I think this is the best-sounding ABR record we’ve ever made, and it’s going to allow people to experience the record in a whole new way. I can’t wait to share this with everyone.”
For your first taste of the updated version of Leveler, be sure to check out “Poor Millionaire” featuring Ryan Kirby below. Afterward, make sure to grab a pre-order here.
