The Little Things 2
Tumblr media
Here's another little something. This is still inspired by @patrineptn, though this piece was influenced by fanart I stumbled across when I did my first fan-inspired piece. So be sure to give them some well deserved love, they can also be found at AO3 and FF.net.
I also have a NSFW version on my own AO3 account.
It had started innocently enough, a calm evening where he helped her to better understand D&D. Notes scattered across the table along with some actual books on the game, lore he told her, with snacks and drinks perched precariously near the table's edges.
A strong suck, a warm tongue rasping against sensitive skin had her gasping, her raised leg curling tighter around the shoulder it rested over. All thoughts of how they went from him helping her to their current situation flying out the window.
A low chuckle tickled the moist skin of her thigh. "Damn, baby, are you ever sensitive." Fingers teased her, drawing a whine as she shifted in a silent demand of where she wanted his touch.
"And you're being a fucking tease, again." Her words ended in a sigh when his tongue returned. So close, and yet so, so, far from where she was needing him.
Dark eyes watched her face from between her twitching thighs, a reddish gleam to them that a few weeks ago had not been there. "Don't rush." A strong suck was accompanied by a deep and appreciative hum from him. "Almost done." The words were panted against her slicked skin.
Her fingers dove into his thick curling hair, nails massaging in time to the waning tugging of his lips. Her combing and petting shifted his hair, revealing his ear. A now pointed ear.
Fangs scraped against her one last time before he pulled away, chest heaving as he panted for breath. Lips were marred red, his cool and pale pallor regaining a warm flush once again as the red glare to his eyes returned to the soft brown she fell for. A slightly longer tongue was languid in cleaning up the mess left behind.
To think, Eddie became a vampire from those Gargoyel-bats attacking him. Or whatever they were called. Her mind was currently not able to focus on vocabulary at the moment.
It explains how he healed so quickly, even with her abilities ensuring he wouldn't die from his severe wounds. How his appetite came to favor red meat, the rarer the better over just about everything else. Or how he became snappish when he couldn't get enough. Which all came to a head after she accidentally cut herself one night preparing supper.
One second she cut her hand, about to rush to the sink to wash it, only for Eddie to suddenly be before her licking and sucking at her wound. It had taken at least a couple of moments before her brain had remembered how to function.
"Uh, E-Eddie?" Her fingers curled against his cheek.
He paused mid lick, senses returning. Red eyes, not puppy brown, widened as he dropped her hand and threw himself away, hands furiously scrubbing at his mouth.
Concerned, and not in the least afraid, Kagome approached him.
"St-stay back!" His cry was more desperate than demanding, ending on a whine as he pushed himself deeper into a corner as he searched for an escape.
"Eddie, it's okay." Voice low and soft, she slowly neared him.
Eyes locking with her own brows furrowed "How the fuck is this okay?! I attacked you!" He started out loud and angry, though his words quickly lost their fury at his ending statement. "Shit… I… I can smell your blood, and it smells so, so good."
Seeing him genuinely worried for her safety reassured Kagome that regardless of what was happening, this was still Eddie and that she was safe with him. Besides, how often had she been told she smelt tasty or been attacked so something could turn her into their snack? She lost count.
"Eddie, I'm not going anywhere." His answering whimper tore at her heart. As soon as she was within arm's reach, he collapsed into her hold.
He clutched her. Held her like a lifeline.
After that, there had been a bit of an argument, that she should leave him which she shot down immediately along with a slap upside the head for good measure.
The following days had been about figuring out the exacts now that they knew what was wrong with him. With constant questioning if he would tell the others. After he got better at handling over his new state of being, he promised. She would never push him to do so, Kagome was just worried at the fallout if the others found out before Eddie was ready. Regardless, she would stay at his side.
Then came the feeding. Eddie could eat and drink normal foods, but without some blood, he sort of devolved into the vampires of classic literature. It was almost cartoonish if it wasn't so upsetting; hissing, snapping, and the longer without, the more physical attributes became undeniable. Pointed ears, deathly pallor, fangs and claws, with a red stare. So they searched everywhere, even going so far as to nearby farms to test if livestock could do the trick. Which was a bust.
So, Kagome offered herself up. Another argument ensued. It took everything to ensure him that she would be alright. She trusted him not to hurt her, she reminded him that he hadn't hurt her when she accidently cut herself, so she knew he wouldn't, now that they were aware. Besides, her abilities would not only heal the small wound, they would help replenish whatever blood she lost. Plus, she doubted whatever made him into this new vampire state would spread to her. It was just a matter of where to bite.
Which had resulted with Eddie feeding from her every other week. From her inner thigh, the easiest location to hide from anyone asking questions. And the one time she had worn shorts and someone saw a bruise from peeking past the hemline, they merely gave Eddie a slap on the back with a lewd comment. It had nearly freaked them out, Eddie more so than herself, that the bruise had lasted so long despite her healing abilities. But if others mistook it for a hickey, neither were going to correct them.
What neither of them had been expecting was how they would react to his feeding. The arousal they would both gain. Which would lead to more pleasurable activities.
"Damn, you really are sensitive tonight." The comment drew her back to the present, gaze once again focused on Eddie. He looked like he usually did, though his ears were just the slightest pointed now, barely noticeable unless one was really paying attention. "You're soaking."
Whining at his statement, Kagome went to close her legs and cover her sex. If he was just going to stare and talk, she could get dressed. Or deal with it herself.
Dexterous fingers gripped her thighs, halting her. Smirking, the one she knew he wore when he was teasing, curled around his lips. "Ah, ah. It's time for our dessert."
Hips wriggling in anticipation, Kagome felt her cheeks heat as he returned to staring. "What are you waiting for, then?"
A weak chuckle breathed against her neck. "Fuck, Baby, you're killing me." Eddie settled over her, arms caging around her head as he panted for breath.
Legs flinching with every shift, Kagome whimpered as her hands slid up his sweat slicked back. It took a moment for her to chuckle in return. "But what a way to go." She wouldn't be lying if she said she didn't mind how often they had sex now. She did need to work on her endurance though. Seemed his new appetite wasn't the only thing that increased.
He shifted to put a little distance between them, causing his hips to press closer to her own. Both shuddered as she flexed down in him, squeezing tightly. "Think we should take this to the bed?"
"I, I need a second." Her panting breaths had Eddie smirking, brows waggling with pure male smugness.
"Or," he pressed a lazy kiss to the corner of her mouth. "We could stay on the couch, see what's on the TV." Said TV he had brought over at some point to replace the ancient one that had come with the small cabin she called home. "You mentioned wanting more snuggling on the couch while watching movies."
Recalling the conversation, Kagome hummed as she absently reached out for the remote control. "Sounds like a plan." Her breath hitched when he shifted, rolling them over with a new grace that had his length pulling from her warmth. A weak slap to his shoulder had him chuckling.
"Easy, baby." He retaliated with a light slap to her ass, to which was quickly gropped. At her quick flush, he chuckled again.
Snuggling into his hold, Kagome turned her gaze to the TV. The radio was still playing on low in the background, but she was too tired to care to get up. The summer heat left her feeling lazy, and Eddie's fingers trailing up and down her spine lulled her into a sense of comfort she wanted to indulge in while she could.
Later, they could get back to their original plans and clean up. Right now, right now she was content to be lazy with Eddie.

Do you know about the series Highlander? If not then you can disregard this ask. I was wondering if you could do a prompt with Kagome and the character Methos (I think he is the most interesting character in the series). Maybe they met when Kagome was in the past and Kagome not knowing he is immortal runs into him in the present while he working at a University. Maybe Kagome is a student or fellow researcher/teacher?
When I first read your request, I thought it was based on the movie, something I've seen. I had to do a double take when I realised you meant series, which I was not aware of.
I did what research I could on the character in question, Methos sounds complex, but I sadly could not gain access to watch the series, or clips at the very least, to get a better understanding of him.
With that said, I'm sad to say that I'll have to decline your request. I'm truly sorry, I feel it would be an interesting write and read. I hope this doesn't dampen your desire for future requests.

Marvel Adventures: Algebra over Asgard
Tumblr media
Kagome proves her worth, but is adamant that her algebra is more important. Based on my Daddy Dearest fanfiction universe.
"Hang on, I'm sure they're here somewhere." cellphone wedged between her ear and shoulder, Kagome rummaged through her bag, pushing things from one side to the other before giving up and dumping the contents across her bed. "Kuso."
"What was that?" the voice on the other end called out, muffled by whatever they were snacking on.
"Nothing." blue eyes swept over her room, looking for the elusive items in question. Just as she was about to give up on tackling her most difficult of foes, math, laughter from down the hall had her pausing.
"K'gome?" her friend and classmate, still eating whatever that had at hand, called out her name.
"Give me a minute, I think I left my textbooks in the living room." taking hold of her cell, she left her bedroom and started making her way to where the boisterous laughter and conversation was coming from. "Did you already finish the report for English class?"
"Yeah. Ned and I finished ours yesterday. Why?" there was a crinkling in the background on the other end of the call, either paper of a chips bag.
Approaching the living room, Kagome paused before entering. "Think you could help me? I already finished, but I would feel a lot better if someone proofread it."
"That shouldn't be a problem." the reply came quickly and easily.
Kagome's posture eased, the slight worry at the possibility of being denied help washed away. "That's great. So when and where would be best for you?" smiling at the happy scene before her, she waved at those that noticed her entrance.
Shuffling noises and quiet mumblings were all she heard as Kagome looked over the sideboards near the entrance before moving to the counters of the kitchen. It was while at the counters that she had to bite down on her lower lip to keep from laughing out when an unexpected speaker took hold of her friend's attention.
A door had opened, light music could be heard only to be drowned out by the voice of someone new. "Hey, you're supposed to be doing homework."
"I am, Aunt May, Kagome just called because she needs a hand with today's algebra." Peter's voice was calm, relaxed.
There was a pause as Kagome took to observing the living room. Due to not only the open space, but the slightly sunken sitting area, she quickly spotted her missing textbooks on the glass table everyone sat around. Steve was smiling as he shrugged off at some jabs the others took at him before returning to his chosen seat for the night.
"Oh. She's a sweet girl." the comment had Kagome smiling once again. May's next words, however, shoved Kagome's goal to the side when she picked up once again. "You always blush whenever she calls, and you constantly talk about her. Maybe you should invite-!"
Destination reached, Kagome blinked and pulled her phone away from her ear to stare at Peter's picture displayed on the screen when he cried out, garbled noises echoing through it. She could hear crashing and stomping feet, Peter's rushed, and panicked voice was quickly followed by silence.
Placing the phone next to her ear, she listened for a few seconds before calling out. "...hello?" raising a shoulder to keep the device in place as she absently lifted the obstacle pinning her books down.
Cradling her books close, the item in her hand hummed oddly and a weird sensation of vertigo rushed over her, causing her fingers to flex around the item in question. Raising it, she blinked at the item, as it continue to hum, currently not processing what it was she was holding or the significance of it being in her hand. Looking back down to the glass table, she instead placed the item in question next to the sofa, coincidently next to where Thor sat.
"Peter? Hey, everything okay?" hand free once again, she took hold of her phone and made her way back to her room. Shifting her hold on her books, she paused when she realised just how quiet the others had become as well. Turning, she looked at them all, a brow raised in silent question at their shocked expressions. "Yes?"
"H-how?" Thor's stuttered question broke the silence. His posture was odd, as if he had been paused in getting up from the sofa.
"Hm?" head tipping to the side, her concern for the Asgardian rising as he continued to stutter and flounder as if he couldn't decide whether to sit back down or get up completely. "Everything alright?"
Her gaze dropped to the table, baring various glasses of no doubt alcoholic beverages. Perhaps Thor had brought back some Asgardian beverage and had one cup too many. "Maybe some water in between will help?"
The question jumped started him, though his movements were stiff and wooden. "B-but, how? You're… you're worthy?"
Before she could answer, Peter's voice came rushing back. "Hey! Sorry for disappearing!"
Pulled away from the odd situation, Kagome smiled as she turned away from the others. "That's okay. You alright? It sounded like you fell?"
Voice rushed and slightly out of breath, Peter laughed. It was that adorable forced one he usually had as he tried to cover his embarrassment. "What? Oh, yeah! I'm fine! Totally fine! Did you find your books?"
"Yup! Now I have you all to myself to help me tackle my algebra homework!" she joked, skipping back to her room to finish her homework as quickly as possible. The sooner it was done, the better. She was unaware of the silent chaos she left behind.
Natasha pursed her lips, gray eyes happily observing the still dumbstruck 'god'. "Well, of everyone here, besides Thor, Kagome would be capable." turning to Tony, her mirth only grew at the mixed emotions painted across his face. Pride at his daughter, no doubt in proving Thor wrong about him being the only one able to lift Mjölnir, and petulance that he had been outdone by his teenage daughter.
Clint leaned into her shoulder, drink raised in an attempt to hide his own amusement. "You saw when Cap took his turn." the whispered question was more a statement, but Natasha nodded her head anyway.
Steve, while having not managed to lift it like the others, had managed to nudge it. Thor's surprise had been quick, but it had rocked the foundation of his entire world. Natasha had no doubt that Kagome, in her absent-minded way, had unknowingly destroyed that very foundation. Seeing the god continue to stare at where the girl had disappeared to, Natasha wondered how to jumpstart him again.
Thankfully, Bruce broke the silence and offered a lifeline to Thor. "Maybe it has something to do with her abilities as a priestess?" his smile was calm, the tilt of it showing his own amusement at the situation, as he moved to clean his glasses.
Thor's posture eased slightly, his towering form dropping back onto the sofa. "Perhaps. Father often spoke of their great capabilities that even he could not explain." he turned to his hammer, easily lifting it and spinning it a few time. Small sparks lit up between his fingers.
Tony hummed as he swirled his glass. "I wonder…" he trailed off, taking a sip.
Catching onto his expression, Natasha quickly spoke up. "Slow down there, Stark. You heard her, she has homework. So leave her be. You can ask your questions later." she reached for her ow drink from the table and relaxed into the sofa and Clint's side. Eyeing the god, she gave him a pointed look as well. "Same goes for you too, Thor."
Thor chuckled, though it was slightly strained. "Right, you are right." he grabbed his cup and quickly drowned the contents. And then immediately threw the cup down and smashed it on the floor. "Another!"
"Dammit, Thor! I thought you no longer did that!" Tony grumbled as he got up, no doubt going to get a broom and clean up the mess. "Kagome tends to do her homework here, what if she gets hurt?"
Steve finally spoke up, attempting to calm Tony down as Thor bashfully apologized while explaining about habits. The weird mood was gone, mostly, and the jovial one from earlier returning. Natasha shook her head, honestly, she hadn't had this much fun in a while. Actually, since they all last were together like this. And somehow, Kagome once again managed to steal the show.
Sipping at her drink, her smile grew when she joined the others in teasing Tony. "Oh Stark? You missed a spot!" Snickering at his grumbles, she swore to enjoy the rest of the night while ensuring that Kagome got her time to focus on her algebra rather than the possibility of her being a ruler of Asgard.

The Little Things
Tumblr media
This is just a little something that was inspire by the amazine crossover by @patrineptn, Far From Home. I highly recomend everyone go read it. It can be found on their tumbrl as well as their FF.net and AO3.
Kagome had been awake for a while now, catching up on finishing some house chores. Currently, she was humming and bobbing her head to the music that was quietly playing from the radio as she stood at the stove.
Bacon was sizzling in one pan while she was flipping pancakes in another. The scent of the late, in her personal opinion, breakfast quickly filled the small space. While plating the bacon and beginning to do some scramble eggs, there was a quiet shuffling behind her causing her to smile when the sounds of the toilet flushing and then the tap followed after.
It was a few moments later when the bathroom door opened. “Hey babe, have you seen my shirt?” Eddie’s voice was the slightest bit slurred, no doubt from just having woken up.
Rolling her eyes in fondness, Kagome called back. “Which one?” her gaze did quickly dart off to where the washer was, listening to it squeak as it rocked slightly during its cycle.
“My club one.”
Looking down, Kagome bit her lips at the red devil on the slightly damaged and repaired shirt. Before she could answer, feet shuffled until arms slid around her waist from behind. “You… how long have you been up?” a chin dropped to her shoulder.
Managing to turn her head a bit, she pressed a kiss to his cheek. Well, her aim had been his cheek, instead she reached the corner of his mouth instead. She received a hum in return, and then Eddie began rubbing his cheek against hers. “Ack!” a hand reached up to sooth at her cheek. “I think you need to shave, you're getting a little prickly.”
“I don’t know, I think I could rock a beard.” he chuckled as he pressed his cheek against hers again.
“Mmm, and hide that handsome face?” she quickly slapped a hand attempting to sneak some bacon. “And you can wait a few more minutes.”
Shaking the slight sting away, Eddie placed a kiss to her pink cheek. “Babe, you’re such a tease.”
Blushing, Kagome muttered something under her breath, memories of the previous night quickly rushing forth at the mention of 'tease'.
A wicked gleam entered his brown eyes, Eddie ducked down, pushing some hair to reveal an ear as he presented it to her. “Huh, what was that?”
“Don’t be a jerk and set the table.” she gave a nudge of her elbow as he continued to press into her.
“Aw, but that’s now what you said last night.” he laughed when she finally kicked a leg out, yielding defeat, for now.
It wasn’t until after she was finished at the stove and began bringing the food to the table did Eddie finally notice. “Hey, you stole my shirt?”
Looking down once again, Kagome returned Eddie’s baffled expression with a slight huff. “Well, I wanted to shower this morning.” she put the two plates down before returning for the last two containing toast and eggs.
As for Eddie, he took the time to observe her current outfit, chin dropping to his propped up knuckles. Said outfit consisted of his stolen shirt, a pair of panties, and socks. He didn’t even bother to hide his appreciation and how he was checking her out, a goofy smirk in place. “What does you wanting to shower this morning have with you stealing my shirt instead?
Taking a seat, she raised a brow. “I stole your shirt, after realising that someone had finished my shampoo.” the pointed look she gave him had Eddie snickering.
In typical Eddie fashion, meaning dramatic, he flicked some hair over his shoulder, preening. “My hair really does feel thicker and stronger. I’m sure you agree, with how tightly you were pulling on it while I-!” he blinked when a bite of scramble egg bounce off his cheek, rolling bit as it landed on his plate.
“Not at the table. Please.” her cheeks were flaming, her eyes on the task of buttering some toast, her plate already containing her portion of breakfast.
“Why? It’s just the two of us.” despite his teasing smirk and devious eyes, he too began to help himself to breakfast. “‘Fraid you’ll get hungry for something else?” brows waggled, expression warming when she snorted in an attempt to stifle her laughter.
“Really?” smiling, Kagome relaxed at the cozy atmosphere. It wasn’t the first time, and she doubted it would be the last, but she was glad that she took the chance and accepted Eddie’s affections. “By the way, was there a session today that you needed your shirt?” it was only then that she realised that he was currently topless.
Nibbling on her toast, she took in the spattering of scars, most of which were large, mixed with his tattoos. Despite everything, he still wasn’t highly defined. No, he was still slim and soft, with subtle muscle definition. “Enjoying the view?”
Snapping her gaze back up to meet with his, her cheeks once again warmed at the smug smirk on his face and waggling brows. Huffing, she pointedly returned to her breakfast. “Why can’t I? You took your time to enjoy what you saw.”
“Ain’t gonna deny that.” teasing done, they fell into comfortable conversation about their weekend plans as they ate breakfast. After, Eddie insisted on cleanup since she did everything else that morning.
“So, what else needs to be done?” his hip bumped into her knee, he had been persistant on her being next to him as he did the dishes. Even picking her up to sit her on the counter.
“Just finish the laundry really. Why?” she absently handed him the dishes, legs swinging and thumping against the cupboard.
Leaning against the counter and smiling up at her, Eddie let his voice drop low. “Well, if you want that shampoo, I’m gonna need my shirt back.” he pressed a kiss to her shoulder, smirking as he nipped at the curved capped causing her to shiver. “Everything else is in the washer.”
Looking down at said shirt, she hummed in agreement. Without another prompt, she removed the article of clothing, rolling her eyes as his smile brightened when his gaze lowered. His voice still low managed to carry his excitement. “There they are.”
A squeak escaped her when a sudsy hand left a dollop of soap on the tip of each breast. “Eddie, really?”
Instead of answering her, his head tipped to the side. “I think I’ll pick up some whipped cream too.”
Kagome paused for a moment, she huffed as she tossed his shirt back at him and hopped off the counter. “Just get some damn shampoo, I want to take a shower at some point today.” ridding the cooling soap and going to retrieve a new shirt.
Upon her return, the dishes were done, Eddie was dressed and ready to leave. Making her way to him, Kagome wrapped her arms around his shoulders, leaning up on her tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips. “Be careful, okay?”
Hands on her hips, Eddie hummed as he returned her kisses. “Don’t worry. Nothing can keep my from returning to my girl.” he gave her one last lingering kiss before pulling away. “Looking forward to tomorrow’s session?”
Seeing the actual excitement on his face, Kagome giggled. He was such a goofball. “With the help you’ve given me, yeah, I actually am.”
“Great.” he snuck another kiss. “I’ll see you later then. Love ya, babe.”
Cheeks flushing, Kagome smiled up at him, heart-warming and filling her entire being. “Love you too.” hanging onto the door, she watched him make his way to his van, calling out before he hopped in and drove off. “Say hi to your uncle for me!”
A wide wave with a bright smile was thrown her way before he climbed into his van, turning it on. The engine was practically drowned out by the rock music that was blaring from the speakers. With a laugh, Kagome closed the door with plans to relax before finishing the laundry, and looking forward to finally getting her shampoo and shower later.
Eddie helped her appreciate the little things once again, in his goofy way, making her appreciate him all the more.

Apologies
Hello everyone, I want to apologize for my long absence. I'll just say it was partially due to writer's block and partially due to personal health. I'm hoping that this year will see me being not only more active on the various socials, but also get back into writing regularly as well.
My inbox is open once again. I will attempt to fulfil your requests and ask questions in a timely manner. All I ask, is that everyone be respectful and understanding if it takes me a little longer than usual to finish anyone's request.

Stuck on You Chapter 07
Tumblr media
There’s an incessant knocking that stirs her from her blissful sleep. After sending those pictures to Shippo, she simply asked Satoru if he could drop her off at the Shrine. She had immediately showered and changed, took some leftovers, and went home to her own apartment.
The knocking was getting louder, forcing her to respond. Grumbling, she threw the covers off, the slightly chilled night air had her shiver as she stumbled to the front door. “I’m coming!” she rubs at her eyes as a yawn escapes her. It’s far too early for this.
Undoing all the locks, she swings the door open, blinking at the black wall before her brain manages to tell her to look up. Bleary eyes take in the shock of white hair and dark sunglasses. “Satoru? Why are you here?”
He bypasses her questions by entering her apartment. “A few of those names in the journal had ties to the jujutsu community.”
Staring at the empty hall, her head drops forward. “...by all means, please come in…” scrubbing at her face, she closes the door behind her. “How did you even get my address?”
Satoru smiles as he follows after her from the living room. “Looked ya up!” he whistles as he lumbers behind her. “Nice place.”
“Don’t you sleep?” despite the time, her body is already moving on autopilot, mostly due to lack of awareness, in preparing coffee. She’s practically doing it all with her eyes closed.
“Nah, don’t really need it.” he smiles when her head tips back and rolls to the side. He snickers when her barely open eyes narrow.
“You don’t sle-?” shaking her head, she covers a yawn as she shuffles about, sock covered toes wiggling against the cool floor. “So, did you come all this way just to tell me that a few of those names did mean something to you?” she now leans against the counter once all the work is done, head bobbing as she attempts to stay awake for this conversation.
The scent of coffee quickly fills the air, rich and warm, and more importantly, filled with that sweet energy boost.
“No. I also came because I have questions.” he looks far too comfortable at her kitchen table, what with his stupidly long legs sprawling out into her kitchen.
Covering up another yawn, she nods her head. “You and me both.” she scratches at her head, a slight grimace when she realizes she forgot to take it out of the braid from yesterday.
“Your friend still didn’t call back?” he smiles when she begins to shuffle about again, pulling out plates and cups, setting the table for them both. It isn’t until she places sugar, cookies and muffins on the table does he perk up.
“No. Which worries and pisses me off.” after placing a small place mat down, she pours the freshly brewed coffee into a pot that is then placed on the table between them. “Hopefully I’ll get a reply today.”
A silence settles over them as they both go about preparing their coffee, watching him, Kagome slowly blinks when she realizes something. He’s left her a single muffin and two cookies out of the entire batch of both that she’s placed. Not only that, he’s loading his coffee with creamer and sugar. “You plan on having any coffee with that sugar, or…” she trails off, leaning against the table as she takes slow sips of her coffee.
“I like my coffee sweet.” he takes a sip, a happy sigh escapes him. “I thought women preferred sweet and flavoured coffee also?”
“I don’t mind it. But what you’re drinking is coffee flavoured sugar, not sweetened coffee.” she can honestly not believe that she’s having this conversation with a man she barely knows, in her apartment at, looking at the nearest clock, she sighs. Of course, it’s almost three am. “Maybe all that sugar is what’s keeping you up. No sleep is bad for your health, you do know that, right?”
Satoru shrugs, smile in place as he continues to sip at his coffee and nibble on his hoard of treats. Shaking her head, her chin is supported by one hand now, eyes closed despite the coffee. The mug warms her fingers almost to the point that it hurts, still sleep clings to her.
“Hey, Kagome-chan?” his voice is lower, or is she just that tired.
“Hm?” she can’t open her eyes, she’s pretty sure the coffee will not help in waking her up.
There’s a chuckle before a chair softly scrapes against the floor. The next thing she knows, she’s weightless and warm. Well, somewhat warm, there’s a cool breeze that passes over her legs causing her to shiver, so she turns deeper into the warmth. It smells oddly nice, musky and spicy. Jostling has her mumbling out displeasure as she attempts to cling to that warmth.
“...you’re putting me at a disadvantage, Kagome-chan.” the words barely register, the soft chuckles growing more distant, but that warm scent quickly returns. “Just don’t get mad when you wake up, this is your fault.”
Kagome wakes later, vaguely remembering how Satoru stopped by. Grumbling, she reaches for her phone, sighing at the time that glares in her face. Sunrise. Damn, Inuyasha. Why do all the men with silver hair in her life have to be so demanding? And weird? Feeling that she can snooze for a little while longer, she freezes when an arm curls around her waist and drags her deeper into the bed.
Wide eyes blink, staring at nothing as her sleepy mind jump starts into attempting to figure out how this situation even happened. A nose nuzzling into her hair does not help her.
“...what time is it?” the words are slurred with sleep, puffing against her ear causing her to shiver.
Looking over her shoulder, she pauses at the completely open face devoid of blindfold or sunglasses. He looks younger, even without the smiles. His brows are finer than she thought they would be, darker than his hair, but his lashes are just as white as his hair. Turning over, she hesitates before following through her compulsion. The strands are silky and soft, she internally grumbles how men seem to have it easy to get such lovely hair without even trying. Combing through the long bangs, fingers trail along his brows a few passes before barely touching beneath his eyes.
“Mmm, that feels nice.” his eyes crack open, that they’re such a blue they almost seem to glow.
If she hadn’t met and was familiar with youkai, she could honestly admit that she would be memorized by his eyes. Cheeks lift in a lazy smile, his eyes twinkle.
“I thought you didn’t need to sleep.” she’s not sure if she’s repeating the comment he made when he first showed up, or if she’s asking, the situation is a little surreal.
“I normally don’t.” he falls to his back where he stretches, she ignores how the chill affects her. “But you just wouldn’t let go!”
Lips part to argue against his words, only, she really can’t, not when she barely remembers. And said memory, though foggy with sleep, she does manage to recall she really didn’t let go when he brought her to bed. Thankfully, her cell goes off, saving her from further lingering in the awkward situation. Rolling over, relief floods her when Shippo’s name flashes across the screen.
“Yeah?” she stifles a yawn, she’s taking the day off.
“Did I wake you?” the question has her rolling her eyes.
“No, Shippo.” she tenses when Satoru rolls into her again, arm wrapping around her waist as he literally snuggles into her. Covering the speaker, though she doubts it’ll stop Shippo from hearing. “What are you doing?”
“Getting comfortable.” there’s a happy sigh as he buries his face into her hair. “Again, this feels nice.”
She’s not unused to being turned into a cuddle buddy, but the last time it happened was when Shippo had been a child. Shaking her head, she presses the phone against her ear. “Please tell me you have something.”
Chuckles flow into her ear from the phone. “Sounds like you have somebody. Should I call back later?”
Closing her eyes, she promises to slap him upside the head later. “No. Tell me now.”
“Well, a few names were tied to the jujutsu community, a couple were ours, the rest were just normal people. Most were, actually.” she hears paper and keyboards tapping. “The procedure mentioned is an old one. It’s a mix of summoning, possession, and seed planting? I don’t know who came up with it, and managed to make it work, but it doesn’t look good.”
“What do you mean by seed planting?” shifting the phone to her other hand, she rests one over the hand that seems to have taken to petting and stroking her stomach. It does halt Satoru’s actions, but she hadn’t intended that he weave their fingers together.
“Not sure about that one. The details are unclear, I’ll have to look for more, obscure leads. But I’m not liking what it might imply, especially since our research brought up how there were more cases of people having preformed the procedure. The reports were well hidden.” the implication is made clear.
Sighing, her eyes close. “We’ll have to do a deep cleaning.” it’s not surprising that there are some in their community that are not content with how things are now. But to go to the extents that they have?
“Yeah.” there is much that Shippo can say to comfort her. “Sesshoumaru’s been informed, as has Inuyasha and those that were there. Ginta and Hakkaku are at your family’s shrine.”
“Thanks Shippo. Call me when you learn more.” ending the call, she puts her phone down, not liking what she’s learned.
“Not a good call I take it.” Satoru tightens his hold on her. It’s odd how he seems so protective. Or just clingy. She has yet to figure out which one it is.
“Try apocalyptic.” her words murmur in response, wonder how and what to tell him about what’s been shared.
“And I’ve been told I’m dramatic.” he hums when she rolls over, only opening his eyes after being poked. “Hm?”
“What did you learn yesterday?” she stares into his blue eyes.
He smiles, causing his blue eyes to twinkle. “I’ll share you mine if you share me yours” he snickers at the slap to his shoulder his comment earns him. “So mean!”
“Are you incapable of taking things seriously?”
“If I did that, I’d look like Ijichi. And he’s younger than me, by the way.” he snickers at her expression, which is no doubt one of disbelief.
Pressing her brow against his chest, she shakes her head. “Please, take this seriously, at least a little.”
Fingers press and massage the back of her neck, making it hard not to purr or shiver. “Hmm, a little, since you asked so nicely.” an oddly comfortable silence settles over them where they rest as is for a few minutes as is. “I’m going to need breakfast first though.”
Snorting, her head shakes as she imagines just what his breakfast must entail with how he had his coffee and the café a few days ago. “You mean you need your sugar fix.” a sigh escapes her as she pulls away. “Alright, let me get dressed first.”
He whines when her feet kick at him, pushing him out of her bed. “So cruel!”
“This isn’t a peep show!” a pillow smacks him in the face, further urging him out of the bed, it then sails through the air when he lingers by the door. “Satoru!”
“Fine, fine!” he raises his hands, shoulders hunching in surrender. When his eyes gleam, she’s instantly on alert. “Though, I gotta say, cute pajamas.”
Looking down at herself, her faces flames. How could she forget! An oversized T-shirt, panties, and socks. “Out, Satoru!” the second pillow hits her door. Flopping onto her bed, she groans. Living alone makes her forgetful of certain things, apparently. She blames his banging on her door at such a ridiculous hour. Yes, he’s to blame.

Stuck on You Chapter 6
Tumblr media
A quick call, and Kagome's waving as Meyumi is driven off home by a confused Ijichi. "A taxi would have sufficed."
Satoru shrugs his shoulders, hands stuffed into pockets. "Why pay when Ijichi was right there?" one hand is smoothly removed from one of his pockets.
Her cheeks warm once again when he catches her hand, fingers weaving with her own as he begins to tug her in a direction that didn't lead her back to work. "Uh- hey! I have to go back to work!" her attempts to tug free are useless.
"Call in sick, we have a curse user and customer to track down." his thumb starts to rub across her knuckles, causing her blush to sink low.
"I just can't-!" she managed a harsh exhale before doing just that. It didn't hurt that her boss was so accommodating, though that could be due to the fact that where she worked was more a front for youkai and those in the loop. Though Sesshoumaru would be hearing about it and asking questions later.
"That's the spirit!" he chuckles as she fumbles in putting her cell away, what with only having one hand.
Speaking of which. "Do you really need to hold my hand?" she looks down at their joined hands. Just like the rest of him, his hand practically swallows her whole.
"You started it." he gave a squeeze when she looked up at him, frowning slightly as she tried to figure out what he meant. Not only that, the argument to not letting go is so childish. Shaking her head, she follows along with him, she does wonder though, how he's tracing back to this curse user. So she decides to ask. "So, mighty navigator, how are you tracing this curse user?"
"Navigator?" he throws her an amused smile, head dipping down to do so which causes his white hair to appear almost translucent. She's starting to wonder what it is about her that makes most males she meets have silver to white hair. And tower over her.
"Yes, navigator." she mentally prays he's nothing like Inuyasha or Sesshoumaru. "Is it some sort of GPS? Tracking system? How are you tracing back to the curse user?"
"Ah." he raises their joined hands to scratch his cheek, snickering when she's forced to stand on her tip toes at the action. "I can see the energy signature. Sloppy work if this curse user didn't bother to hide it. And you?"
Soothing her abused arm and shoulder, she hums. "I can't outright see the trail like you, but I can pinpoint the direction they are in." despite saying this, her raised hand is pointing in a direction that veers from the way they were headed in. "Although, with the distance between us, it's more in that general direction by around ten kilometers give or take."
The air is suddenly robbed from her when she's spun about when Satoru pulls them into an alley without notice. "What the heck was that for?!"
"Hang on!" he wraps his free arm around her waist, pulling her close.
The next thing she knows, their surroundings are completely different. A park, where they're surrounded by trees and bushes. Nausea and dizziness causes her to sway at the sudden change, she nearly tips before clutching to Satoru for support. "...please, warn me next time…" her breath wheezes.
"Never teleported before?" his voice is slightly muffled by the rushing in her ears, but her posture eases when he pats and soothes her shoulders.
"I have… I just hate doing so without warning." breathing deeply, she closes her eyes to block out the spinning ground. It helps to get her bearings straight. "I need a second."
"No problem!" he continues to sooth her, which soon includes petting the trailing ends of her hair.
Once she feels everything is settled, she takes a few last deep breaths and pulls back. "Okay. I'm good now." eyes fluttering, she pulls away. Already she's focusing on locating the aura she felt, humming upon realizing it's much closer, perhaps within a few blocks from where they currently are. "There, I'd say a five-minute walking distance from here." she tugs their joined hands, taking lead this time.
The area is more subdued than the downtown they had just been in. The park large, and upon exiting, surrounded by family homes. Not exclusive modern, but not all traditional, an interesting mix of both. A few stores dot the streets, but otherwise, it's quiet with only elderly and mothers with their young children walk along the streets.
"Hard to believe the curse user is here." she murmurs, nodding when they pass an elderly couple.
"Not really. Sure curse users can charge a lot, but it's not like they can advertise their skills openly." his pace was sedate to keep in step with her, which she appreciates. "My guess, they're operating out of a store, perhaps one a little tucked away, but something that will keep a stead flow of income."
She's about to comment when her phone buzzes in her pocket. Pulling it out, she groans at the number. Didn't she just know it. Lips pursing, she stuffs it back, deciding it would be best to deal with it later, after the curse user.
"Everything alright?" the knowing smirk seems to rub her the wrong way.
"Fine! It's just my boss confirming my leave!" the words are grit out, she also squeezes his hand since he refuses to let go.
He gives a low whistle, playfully wiggling his fingers. "Ouch! Easy there, Kagome-chan!" his snickers only have her grumbling.
They turn down a narrow side street, and just as Satoru said, there's a little novelty shop tucked away. But that's not what has Kagome pausing. She raises a hand to press it over her nose, reeling from the caustic scent, even though Satoru appears unaffected. "How do you not smell that?"
"Smell?" he makes a show of sniffing the air, only to shake his head and shrug his shoulders. "I don't smell anything. You alright?"
Shaking her head, Kagome presses closer to him. Whatever cologne he uses helps greatly, but she's still reeling from the initial shock of that smell. There's no way she can return to work. If she can smell it, the hidden youkai will easily pick up on it. It takes everything she has not to scrunch up her nose, gag, or attempt to block out the stench as they enter the little shop.
"Ah, dear customers, how can I help you today?" the store owner is plain, a little on the lanky side, but not someone Kagome would have pegged as a curse user. They look like a retired banker. Dressed neatly, but in modest clothing, everything in place including the older style round glasses they're wearing. "A couple, how nice. Are you new to the neighbourhood? Don't think I've seen you around."
Satoru is all smiles as she continues to cling to him. "You could say that. It's a nice neighbourhood. Quiet, family friendly, everything in reach."
The older man nods his head, smile a little too wide and sharp to be considered inviting. "Yes. Though, I didn't think the great sorcerer Gojo would settle down here, of all places." dark eyes slide to her, assessing and dismissing her. "With someone that has no curse energy to boot. To each their own. But, she's pretty enough, if that is more your thing."
The hand she placed on his arm, more to help keep her standing rather than appear like a loving couple, tightens. Satoru pats her hand. "What I do, and with whom, isn't really any of your business. You cursing others, however, is my business."
Spindly fingers steeple atop the counter, the man's smile now showing teeth. "Oh? I run a humble shop. Using curse energy takes talent, and it was a great disappointment to my family when it became clear that I didn't possess the skills to do such. Instead, I sell tools that sorcerers can use, alongside office and stationery supplies." he ends his statement with a little giggle, a trickle of sweat rolls down the side of his face.
Kagome could almost believe his words, almost. The shop was filled mostly with stationary items, and office supplies. She was guessing the odd nick-nacks were the 'tools' specific for sorcerers. But the energy about the man is, off. It's nothing like Satoru, or his students, the only jujutsu sorcerers she's knowingly met. Nor is it comparable to regular people, as this man claims to not have the talent to wield 'curse' energy. But she just can't place it.
Looking towards Satoru, he shows no outwardly sign if he's aware of there anything being off about the man. "Look, I'm a busy man. Why'd you curse the young woman?"
At the question, more sweat breaks out on the man's face, his pallor is now sickly, and his breath is wheezy. "G-girl? What girl? I told, I'm a humble shopkeeper!" only, every exhale, a purple smoke or mist escaped past his lips, the stench of which has Kagome pressing herself tighter against Satoru.
There's a sigh from Satoru. He lets go of her hand, only to wrap his arm around her waist instead. "Brace yourself."
A few seconds later, the world around them shifted, reminding her of when she used to jump through the well. Only, at high speeds. Which felt odd since they were standing still. The darkness is illuminated by a red light the moment he raises his free hand, a sphere gathering at the tip of his finger. It crackles and pops before shooting off towards the man whose mouth was gaping wider and wider to allow a thick purple fog to roll out. Within a heartbeat, the light explode upon impact, vaporizing whatever the man was.
No sooner, the darkness and flashing dots of lights disappear, revealing the little shop once again. Evidence of the man having ever existed are gone as the world outside the shop trickle in. Dust motes dance in the light from the window as the songs of birds flow in. Thankfully, the stench has been cleared out.
Pulling away a bit, Kagome pauses when she recalls what the man had said. "So…"
"Amazing?" the smile tossed at her has her pulling away completely.
"No!" she smacks his arm as before moving to inspect the shop. "Are you not in the least bit concerned that the man claimed he had neither the ability or talent to wield curse energy, but suddenly was able to curse others?" she inspects one of the oddities that is so out of place among stationary and office supplies. "Don't you find it just a little odd?"
"He's gone, which makes one less curse user and more people protected." he shrugs his shoulders, obviously not seeing what she's so worried about.
Shaking her head, she honestly wonders how he can be so carefree about it. "First the stench which only I could smell, be thankful for that, then a man suddenly getting the ability to curse. None of this makes you worry?" she pauses when she spies an open notebook on the floor just behind the counter. Walking around, she ducks down to pick it up, tucking some hair behind her ear when she realizes it's the man's journal, and they had just interrupted his latest entry. Thinking, she begins to flip to earlier entries, coming to about a week ago, just before when Meyumi showed up with the curse. "A… Haniko Kimura came in asking, looking for a gift to give a man."
Satoru approached her, leaning on the other side of the counter. "Does the name sound familiar?"
"No. And it's literally my job to know." looking back at the journal, she skims ahead. "Ah, the man is her neighbour, Shiro Matsuda. He does work for our company, and Meyumi had mentioned how the two were starting out as a couple. Anyway, says here, the clerk, upon hearing how Haniko was desperate to gain Shiro's affection, that he offered her his assistance. My guess is the curse. No other details though."
She flips to earlier entries, disgust rolling her stomach when she skims over mentions of him cursing others, regardless of gender or age for practice. He even went as far as targeting a child. Until she comes across the first entry of where he explains about a procedure. "He talks of a procedure?" she looks up at Satoru. "Is there such a thing within the jujutsu community? To give a person the ability to use or wield curse energy?"
His lips dip down as he shakes his head. "No. If you don't have the energy, you can't manipulate it to become either a sorcerer or curse user. Does it say what kind?"
"Hmm, no. It's rather vague." now her brows furrow, flipping to earlier entries. "There are mentions of it being old, centuries old. Something about trading or wishing, he used both terms interchangeably, so can't say which one he meant. Gathering tools and ingredients, and-!" her blood freezes cold when a title comes up, one she was only familiar with since her history was tied to it.
"What? What is it?" Satoru is leaning on a propped hand, his other fingers drumming against the wooden counter top.
"Impossible…" brows furrowing, she flips through more pages, seeing the title pop up more and more, along with accounts of others having succeeded in attempting this 'procedure'. Ignoring Satoru's questions and concern, she pulls out her cell and begins taking pictures. She sincerely hopes, the others didn't know about this, because if they did and kept her in the dark, there would be hell to pay. Sending the pictures off to Shippo, she flips the book around and points out the entries with the names of others that took part in the procedure. "Do any of these names mean anything to you?"
"Hmm, not really. Should they?" his lack of concern is a little off-putting, but then again, he doesn't know the whole story. "What's this all about?"
"Please, look into these names for me. I'm just hoping the store clerk was a one off, but…" she bites her lower lip, really, really praying that her gut instinct isn't right. "I have a feeling our worlds are about to collide in a way that no one is really prepared for."

Stuck on You Chapter 5
Tumblr media
Pouting, Satoru attempts to figure out how to cross paths with Kagome since their group outing a couple of night ago. Sure, she can easily deal with curses herself, he is curious about the extent in which she can and if the types of curse matters, but because of that fact, his work hasn’t brought him anywhere near her. Though it does bring up another matter, how have the elders not notice her or her getting rid of curses?
His phone buzzing disrupts his thoughts, another job.
With a sigh, he calls Ijichi to come pick him up, wanting to use the time to think of a plan rather than just transport. He shoots a few texts to his students, snickering when Megumi tells him to stop texting so late, before finally putting the phone away. Drumming his fingers against his leg, he tries to relax as best he can, even with the seat pushed as far back as it can go. Sadly, there’s not helping it.
And that’s when he feels it. Perking up, he spots his, well, a job, and Kagome! Smiling, he exists the car when it pulls to a stop at a red light, waving off Ijichi’s warning and complaints. “Take the rest of the night off!” closing the door behind him, he easily gets to the sidewalk and follows after the two women.
His smile grows as he watches the two. At first, he wondered if the park had been a one off, but no, Kagome is subtle in her interactions with the curse, brushing it off whenever it attempts to latch itself on the woman next to her. Not like she could openly deal with it, but he knows most people are blind to anything out of the ordinary, so why not just get rid of it right away?
Catching up, he leans down next to her, close enough to startle her in greeting. “Hello, Kagome-chan!”
Both women jump, but Kagome’s hand that had been subtle thus far sparks a sudden flash of pink that causes the curse to wail out. “Gojo-san!” her other hand is pressed to her chest in surprise, blue eyes wide as she looks up at him.
“Please, Satoru.” he smiles at the slight colouring of her cheeks. “Who’s your friend?”
At this she slightly sobers up. “Ah, Gojo-” despite the blindfold, she seems to sense his expression. “Satoru-san, this is my co-worker, Meyumi-chan.”
“Pleased to meet you, Meyumi-chan!” he offers a wave, not at all surprised at the lacklustre in her returned greeting. How long had the curse been with her before Kagome noticed? How much longer before the higher ups deemed it necessary that he step in?
“Oh, yeah, I guess.” her face is pale, dark bruising under her eyes, hair limp and appearance otherwise rumpled.
“We were just on our way to lunch, if you’ll-!” she squeaks when he clasps her free hand with his own, enjoying the way the fading blush grows once again.
Snickering, as it’s only fair play since she can somehow bypass his infinity, he shakes his head. “Oh? That’s great! I know this little place just around the corner, my treat! They have the best desserts.” he uses his hold on her hand to tug her in the direction, which in turn causes her to tug her absent-minded co-worker to follow along as well.
He picks up on how Kagome’s powers spark once again, causing the still attached curse to shriek while Meyumi flinches. It’s dug in deep. A curse user must be at work. Just as he promised, a little further away a tucked away café sits. Already the air fills with the smell of coffee and baked sweets.
“You don’t really need to do this, Go- ah, Satoru-san.” Kagome wiggles her fingers in an attempt to slip his grasp, muffling another squeak when he quickly weaves his own with hers.
“Nonsense! After the previous dinner, how can I not repay you?” he ignores the fact of how she didn’t pay that night. He opens the door, watching how Kagome has to encourage her co-worker into the establishment, slipping in after the two women as the door chimes behind him.
Once again taking the lead, he makes a show of looking at the menu before smiling at the young woman behind the counter. “I’ll take one of everything from your dessert menu and a grande coffee with extra vanilla creamer, sugar, whipped cream and caramel drizzle.” he snickers at the look on Kagome’s face, even her co-worker does a double take at his order. “I’ll also pay for their orders as well.”
The clerk balks, stammering as she turned to Kagome and Meyumi. “Uh… um, and what can I get you?” the poor woman’s voice trails off in a breathy pitch, almost begging for something, anything in the realm of a normal order.
“A uh, I’ll take the uh, lunch sandwich and soup with a green tea. Th-thank you.” Kagome can only blink as her eyes slowly drag along the menu, flickering as she attempts to take in the vastness of the dessert menu.
Meyumi lets out a tired sigh. “Just a coffee, thanks.”
“That’ll be… uh…” the clerk looks down at the moment. “, please have a seat, I’ll get the bill after?”
Satoru raises the hand clasped in his own and pulls the two women along behind him, choosing a spot that offers him the best view while allowing them to be tucked away. All the while, the curse is hissing and growling as it attempts to once again dig deeper into Meyumi.
Kagome leans in closer to him, further bypassing his infinity, allowing him to breath in her scent which was subtle and sweet. Vanilla, cream, something citrusy. “Can you really eat all that?”
Leaning down, he smirks at her. “Worried? How sweet of you!”
Seeing her being flustered while attempting to scold him has him snickering. “Any normal person would be. Unless you’re bringing some back for your students?” the option has him tipping his head slightly in thought, thinking it over as they have been doing well recently. “You’re not serious. You’re going to eat all that?!”
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to lose my figure, if that’s what you're worried about.” he pats his stomach with a grin.
“Not lose you’re… Seriously,” she shakes her head, finally extracting herself from his hold when their drinks arrive. “, you’re so weird.”
His fingers flex, for some reason missing the feeling of her hand in his. “I’m not weird.”
They both turn to Meyumi when she lets out a whimpering sigh, lower lip trembling as she stares at her coffee. She’s slowly stirring in a single packet of sugar, seemingly hypnotized by the action. As for the curse, it’s purring as it leans heavily against her.
Just then, the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, the curse hissing at them until all sounds are muffled behind a shimmering pink dome that separates him and Kagome from the rest of the world. He uses his coffee as a way to subtly tap at the barrier that has just been erected, no tools or techniques were used. Impressive.
“I can only guess, but you’re here because of the, curse, attached to Meyumi-chan.” while it does sound like a question, it’s an obvious statement as Kagome looks up at him, calmly turning her cup of tea.
“Yeah. I’m guessing a curse user is behind the cause.” his entire posture eases at the first sip of his coffee, enjoying the sweet concoction.
“Curse user? An individual that causes harm with curse energy I assume?” Kagome finally takes a sip of her tea, the herbal scent sadly overpowers her own, at least in his opinion.
“Yeah. Anything significant happen in her life recently?” the question has Kagome blinking.
Her cup barely makes a sound when she puts it back on the table. Before she answers, she makes a show of smiling brightly with a nod of her head when the first of their food arrives, eying the first of the desserts that hide her soup and sandwich. “Not to sure on the details, but it does involve another co-worker. Either she turned him down, or the guy she likes was with someone else. You interrupted before I could learn the exacts.”
Sipping at his coffee, he turns to look at the curse, examining it. It didn’t look like the one from the park a near week ago, this one had a more feminine appearance, though it was still twisted into something disgusting and deadly. “My guess, the guy in question was ‘stolen’ by another woman, and said woman went to a curse user to further punish your co-worker.”
Blue eyes narrowed on the curse, knuckles turning white in the face of Kagome’s anger. Despite the barrier, the curse sensed the ire directed towards it and let out a rattling hiss that had Meyumi trembling. “That explains the two auras I picked up on.”
Perking up, Satoru turned towards her. “Oh? Auras?” he was more than eager to learn all he could.
Nodding her head, Kagome easily moved his order aside to get her soup and sandwich. “I thought it was weird, then again, never really dealt with this sort of curses this intimately.” pulling the two dishes out of the mountain of sweets, she then eyed her wilting co-worker. “But, if I do it just right, I can get a read on the distinctive auras that’ll lead us to the ones responsible.”
He’s practically vibrating with excitement, watching her like a hawk from behind his blindfold as she nibbles on half of the sandwich. “You can do that?”
This time, she’s the one tossing him a confident smile, blue eyes sparkling as she teases him by leaning in closer. Shippo must have taught her a thing or two. “Of course I can. Can’t you?”
Leaning until his nose was just barely touching her own, he smiled when her blush returned by happy she didn’t back down. “Don’t you worry, I can do plenty. Tracking curse users is easy. The fact that you can do the same, and the one that paid the curse user is exciting.” brows waggle until she finally pulls away.
A small scoff, she turns her attention back to her co-worker. “So, do you want to handle this, sorcerer, or shall I?”
As much as he wouldn’t mind showing off, he’s honestly more intrigued by what she can do. “How about I assist?”
“Perfect. Attempting to get a proper read of the auras while it’s fighting me isn’t helping Meyumi-chan.” she takes another bite of her sandwich, the barrier dropping without a flutter.
Helping Kagome is easy enough, restraining the curse and slowly extracting it from the other woman takes no effort. In fact, he’s already gone through a third of his order by the time Kagome nods her head. Waving a hand as if he were swatting a fly, the curse is dealt with as neatly as possible. Though there is a bit of a mess, not that anyone else but he and Kagome can see.
“Impressive.” the whispered compliment has him preening, though it is short-lived. “Albeit messy.”
As for Meyumi, she still appears tired, but her posture does ease and relax as her whimpering stops and a bit of colour returns to her pale complexion. Kagome nudges him after finishing her tea, indicating she wants to leave the booth.
He obliges, curious as to what she’s planning, blinking when she immediately sits next to Meyumi, pale glowing hands turning whatever mess that he left behind to ash that is much more easily swept away. A lingering hand also seems to help Meyumi, seeming to give an energy boost as her entire form takes on a faint glow before it seeps into her. The rest of the sandwich and soup are then offered to her.
“Thank you, Kagome-chan. You really are too kind.” there are a few sniffles as she offers a watery smile.
“Not a problem. If you’ll excuse me, I need to use the restroom.” with a finally friendly pat, Kagome does just that.
Meyumi bashfully begins on the sandwich, shyly eyeing him with a pale blush. After a few moments, a fire burns in her eyes. “If you hurt her, you’ll regret it.”
“Huh?” he had taken to observing the streets when Meyumi spoke up.
“You’re lucky, you know that. Almost all the men at work have asked her out, and she’s turned down each and every one of them.” Meyumi leans in close, eyes narrowing in what could be considered a warning. “So I repeat, if you hurt her, I’ll make sure you regret it.”
It’s amazing at just how those around Kagome are so protective of her. “No worries!” before anything more can be said, Kagome returns. As she approaches, she appears to be wondering which side of the table to sit at, Satoru decides for her, grasping her hand and pulling her next to him. “Did you want anything else? My treat.”
She rolls her eyes, adjusts herself, so she’s not plastered against him. “I think you’ve ordered more than plenty to feed a small army.” with that, she selects a few of his deserts, snickering at his low whine. “Oh hush, not like missing one or two will kill you.”
An amused giggle from Meyumi earn their attention. “Sorry, it’s just, you two are oddly adorable together.”
Any attempt to deny from Kagome are thwarted when Satoru throws an arm around Kagome’s shoulders and drags her into his side. “Aww, then does that mean we have your approval?”
Eyes still tired, but showing more life than five minutes ago stare at them before settling on him. “Sure, but I’m not the one you need to be asking.” the cryptic words have Kagome groaning lowly, face buried in her hands.
As for Satoru, he can only chuckle.

hi bunny! i was wondering if you've ever watched Game of Thrones or read a song of Ice and Fire? I would dearly love to see a one-shot with Kagome paired up with any of the asoiaf characters one day. Hope you're doing well!
Hello.
Ah, I actually haven't. Scary, I know, but I was always late to join bandwagons. But that hasn't really stopped me before. It will just take a while longer before I feel comfortable to fulfil such a request.

Hello, I'm sorry if I ask something that does not fit in the rules, but I couldn't find them. I've been reading and loving all your ship with kagome for a while now. I was wondering if you could do one with willy wonka ? Like maybe souta got one of the gold tickets and she goes with him ?
Thank you 🥰
Hey!
I have no problem with fulfilling this request, I actually think it's a cute idea. I just have one question, while I do think you mean the 2005 version of Willy Wonka, is that the one you mean specifically? Or do you want the 1964 version.

Stuck on You: Chapter 4
Tumblr media
The meeting stretched out longer than anyone initially intended. Mrs. Higurashi happily refilled the teapot twice before everyone felt the pangs of hunger finally creep up on them to let them know how late it actually was.
If there was one thing that Satoru was upset about, it was when Shippo stepped into to answer certain questions. The sparkling green and flash of teeth let Satoru know that the other male was aware of his displeasure of being denied any actual answers. So, was this what Shippo meant by keeping an eye on things? Ensuring that Kagome didn't accidentally share certain information?
Oh well, she couldn't be watched over all the time. Even with the work and teaching, he'd find some time alone with her. Still though, what had been shared had been fascinating and an eye-opener. His mind whirring with possibilities, even more questions, and wondering just how powerful she really was.
It was while Kagome was clearing their cups away, did the mood finally lighten. "How about dinner? My treat." Shippo looked at his watch as he stood up.
Kagome narrowed her eyes, about to speak when Mrs. Higurashi stepped in. "Go ahead, I sadly hadn't bought enough to feed everyone. Jii-chan will stay and Souta still has homework." her smile was warm and inviting, patting Kagome's hand before taking the tray of cups and the teapot. "Go on, you need to go out more."
"...Mama." lips pursed, Kagome searched the face of the older woman only to sigh after a few moments. "Alright. Call me if anything should happen."
"I will, don't worry dear." a hum escaped her when Shippo approached her, leaning down to her height and kissed her cheek. "It was lovely to see you again, Shippo."
"You as well, and the tea was wonderful as always." he turned to Kagome, leaned in close and whispered in her ear, too quietly to hear. After a pause, he grinned at her nod even if she didn't seem pleased with what was said. "I'll meet you outside." with that he already had his shoes on and was out the door.
Waiting a few moments until he felt was enough time to put a reasonable amount of distance between them, Satoru lingered while his students went to retrieve their shoes. "Everything alright?"
"..." her eyes cut to his students, lingering on Yuji a little longer than needed, before turning to him. "It would be best that they went home from here."
Following her gaze, he smiled and nodded his head when Yuji turned and gave an excited wave. "You friend promised us dinner."
"He did, but I don't think where he plans on taking us will be… appropriate. For them." she was obviously uncomfortable about something. "I know somewhere else they can go, and Shippo will still be paying."
Turning back to her, his head tipped, wondering why she was so insistent. "It's not a… gentlemen's club, is it?"
Cheeks immediate exploded into colour. "Wh-what?! No! Why would you think that?"
"You said it would be inappropriate for them. " shrugging his shoulders, he snickered when she buried her face into her raised hands. "Or is it some sort of bar?"
"No! Gah!" she scrubbed at her face, causing it to become more red. "Nothing like that! Where we're going is a respectable family establishment. It's just…" she bit her lip and looked out the back window. "...I… I trust the people running the other place."
It was then that he picked up on what she was saying. "Ah. They can handle it." and then Kagome surprised him again while he was trading the slippers for his own shoes. A hand clamped down on his wrist, halting his progress.
"Please. Trust me on this, for them. Especially for Itadori-kun's sake."
Looking down at her hand, he was actually stunned at the warmth that seared his skin and travelled up his arm. He was unsure if this was from a lack of human contact or her energies conflicting with his own. It took a minute squeeze to have him raise his gaze to see the actual concern. She was worried, for his students. Something squeezed at his heart. "There's nothing to worry about, I'm the strongest!" it didn't ease her expression, nor the grip on his wrist.
Lips pursed once again as she attempted to search his face, the blindfold more than likely not helping. With another squeeze, she let him go. She opened her mouth, as if to say something, before closing it and walking away. "I'll meet you out back." her words and movement a bit stiff.
It doesn't take long, meeting the others and getting to where Shippo plans on treating them. It's not overly swanky, but, like Kagome said it's a respectable looking restaurant. He quickly picks up on why she hadn't been so keen on going to this place.
"Shippo-san, how are- Lady Kagome!" the hostess instantly becomes a giddy little thing the moment their party enters the establishment.
Kagome takes the greetings with a smile, though it's a little strained. "Hello Nanao-chan, could we have a private room for the six of us?"
"Oh!" big brown eyes slide towards Shippo for a brief second before returning to Kagome. "Oh, um, I'm afraid all our private rooms are currently in use. If we had known you would be coming, we would have reserved one!" the hostess is all fluttering hands. "We have a lovely spot! Not as private, but it should do!"
Lips pursed, narrowed blue eyes are pinned on a grinning Shippo. "That's fine." it's terse, and Kagome follows behind a now flirting Shippo and giggling hostess in fuming silence.
Catching up o the petite woman, Satoru leans down to whisper. "Lady Kagome?"
Anger easing, Kagome pinches the bridge of her nose. "That's a story for another time."
Humming, he notices how the rest of the patrons are quietly murmuring similar greetings as they pass, only Megumi seems to pick up on the tense atmosphere as Yuji and Nobara are taking in the decor and pausing on the variety of spreads on each table they pass.
Megumi is now on Kagome's other side, face calm and not displaying his thoughts or emotions. "Did you also provide fertility checks for all these people, Higurashi-san?"
Cheeks instantly red, she whips around to slap a hand over his mouth, it's somewhat comical since the boy is taller than her. But Satoru's amused at the shock on Megumi's face at the scolding he's receiving. "Fushiguro-kun! Not only is that confidential information, it's also a highly inappropriate topic to discuss in public." at his nod, she sighs and removes her hand. "And please, call me Kagome."
Satoru on the other hand, is not so swayed by such. "But his question is valid, they all look ready to worship you." he's seen the look plenty of times, sometimes directed towards himself due to being the strongest sorcerer.
"I've helped in various ways." she clears her throat, leaving out what she's more embarrassed about. Before she can further explain, they arrive at their table. Just as the hostess said, it's not as private though it is somewhat tucked away.
"A server will be with you with some menus in just a moment." she flusters and giggles when Shippo thanks her by kissing the back of her hand, though her eyes do smoulder.
"Shippo." the warning tone has the hostess pull away with another giggle, turning to Kagome to bow deeply in respect before leaving. "Can't you behave for at least five minutes? And seriously, in front of the kids?"
The man shrugs as he sits down, easily pulling Kagome to sit next to him and drape an arm around her waist to pull her closer. "Relax, we're here to enjoy ourselves." a lingering kiss is pressed to her cheek.
"Are you in a relationship?" Nobara finally asks as she takes her seat, brows furrowed in confusion.
Shippo smirks as he easily ignores the warning pinch from Kagome. "You could say that." at another pinch, he lets out a sigh at the pointed look from Kagome. "But it's not that kind of relationship."
Nobara looks between the two, trying to figure out based from their interactions and ease with each other. "Then-"
"Unless you know our history, you wouldn't understand." there's a subtle sharpness to his tone and expression, it puts Satoru on edge for the first time since his six eyes couldn't see past whatever Shippo has that's 'hiding' him. It quickly melts into something more teasing. "And you're too young for me."
Nobara stammers and blushes as she pushes herself away from the table while Kagome once again pinches Shippo, quietly scolding the snickering male. Yuji also teases Nobara, poking and prodding in a teasing manner, asking if she had found Shippo attractive. It continued until Nobara reached over to pinch and stretch his cheeks.
"Energetic, aren't they." Shippo's comment earns a smile from Satoru, who's glad to see his students carefree.
"My students are cute." he snickers at Yuji and Nobara's quiet complaints about being described as cute.
"What exactly do you teach?" Kagome absently thanks and accepts the menu provided by their server.
Satoru picks up on how the serve watches him and his students like a hawk, in fact, all the patrons and the rest of the staff as watching them. "I'm teaching them how to be sorcerers. Curses aren't going to get rid of themselves." his smile is all teeth when he and his students finally receive their menus, it earns a mocking grin in return.
There's a hum from Shippo as he places his order after Kagome and hands the server their menus without looking at the man. "Interesting." there is a tilt to his voice as he tips his head. "How, traditional, are you teaching them?"
It's then that Satoru puts things into place, Shippo knows of sorcerers already. How, he doesn't know, nor the extent of his knowledge, but it's already enough that the elders would want him gone. He also understands why Kagome wanted his students to be else where, it's obvious that everyone here adores her for some reason or other, and now they know what he and his students look like. They seem to following their conversation, on edge with Shippo's tone all seem to be waiting. Whatever network this is, it's far more extensive than what sorcerers use, which is far more exclusive though it makes them far more isolated in turn.
Smiling, he places his order enjoying Kagome's utter shock and confusion at it, before replying. "Just the fundaments on how to work safely. Everything else, I encourage that they make decisions for themselves rather than be influence by what others state is absolute."
"You basically toss us in the deep end." Nobara comments, no doubt recalling her first lesson after being picked up not too long ago.
"Sometimes that's the only way." Satoru replies, though he was happy with how she had handled the situation, saving the boy's life. Most sorcerers would have done away with the curse, boy be damned and claim him collateral damage. The hierarchy had become twisted and broken, and they were blind to it. "But, I'm proud of you!"
For whatever reason, his answer and the short exchange pleased Shippo who now sported an honest smile, everyone in the restaurant relaxing as well. "Glad to hear that." he lets go of Kagome when their drinks arrive, raising his glass of amber liquid. "Here's to good teachers, promising students, and brighter futures."
Raising his own glass of the sweetest juice he could order, he nods his head in acceptance of Shippo's toast. He definitely knows more about them than Satoru knows about the two across from him. A disadvantage for sure, but he will get to the bottom of it.
When the server returns with a few others to place down their orders, Shippo turns to the young man and openly flirting with him just as he had the hostess.
"Seriously Shippo, do you have to flirt with everyone you meet?" Kagome pinches the bridge of her nose, eyes flicking to the three slightly flustered teens.
Shippo shows no ounce of shame. "I didn't flirt with your guest, doesn't that count?"
Satoru just sips his drink. He's used to others within his community propositioning themselves to him, man or woman, so he easily waves off Shippo's comment. "Sorry, you're not my type."
A flick of light in green has Shippo smirking at him. "Trust me, I'm everyone's type. It's more along the lines if they are mine." green eyes slowly drag along his form, the open perusal has Kagome groaning in embarrassment. "Yes you're handsome, but not my type."
"Okay!" a hand quickly covers Shippo's mouth, Kagome flustering as she thanks the obviously pleased server. "Thank you, that will be all for now. You'll get his number later."
Dark eyes turn to Kagome, Satoru raises a brow when the smoulder in the man's eyes only seem to intensify. "Of course, Lady Kagome, whatever you desire, just tell me." he bows lowly, though maintains eye contact and saunters off.
Her head thumps against the table with a strangled sigh. "This is why I hate going out with you when you're like this." Shippo only snickers as he pats her back.

Stuck on You: Chapter 3
Tumblr media
Somehow, he doesn't know, but he will find out, Kagome managed to contact him for when they could have a sit down and share information. Satoru honestly doesn't remember giving her his number. Smiling as they arrive at the Shrine, his cute little students thankful for being told of a quicker way via a road up, he swears he'll learn all he can about Kagome Higurashi.
"Alright, let's get going!" he gives Megumi and Yuji a squeeze to their shoulders as he passes them. Unlike the previous visit, he decided to dress 'Professionally', meaning what he wore when out on a job.
Just as he's about to knock on the front door, it swings open revealing Souta. "Come on in, Nee-chan's got everything set up." the boy paused upon seeing the blindfold only to shake his head. "Man, she wasn't kidding when she said she always attracts weirdos."
Megumi coughs to hide his surprised amusement, Nobara doesn't even bother, as for Yuji, sweet boy that he is, actually sticks up for him. "Sensei isn't weird!"
Face absolutely blank, Satoru is sure this kid could make a killing at poker, Souta just 'Uh-huh's' before pointing to the side. "Shoes off, guest slippers are there."
Abiding Souta, they are quick and neat before following after him past a kitchen where an older woman, most likely the boy's mother is finishing up in setting a tray of tea pot and cups, towards a living room. With the grandfather sitting in a corner listening to a low radio and reading the paper, it doesn't feel like the place one would conduct a serious exchange. Satoru smiles, wondering if it was done on purpose to lower their guards.
And then the star walked in from the back door, and after seeing her in what he assumes is typical workout wear, seeing her dressed differently, he can only think her adorable. Loose navy slacks and a simple pale pink slightly oversized sweater that contrasts her currently loose and wavy hair.
He's surprised that he's distracted enough to miss the other figure behind her as she toes off her simple runners. "Shippo, why are you here?"
A young man, handsome enough if Nobara is blushing, only smirks. Coppery hair, slightly tanned skin, and dressed in what one would call casual business, and still look ridiculously expensive. Dark turtleneck, gray slacks, shiny black shoes, single small gold stud earring and matching leather watch. "Just to keep an eye on things. Or would you rather Inuyasha be here?" green eyes sparkle at her huff.
Kagome shakes her head, running a hand through her hair as she side-eyes 'Shippo'. "No. Kami knows he can't negotiate-!"
"Worth shit?" Shippo chuckles at the immediate slap his choice of words earn him. "Relax," hands squeeze her shoulders until they finally drop. ", you used to be so much more fun."
"And you used to be cuter and innocent." blue eyes narrow once again.
The man shrugs. "Had to grow up eventually." he finally toes off his own shoes and pads after her. "Things were getting boring until your name came up."
Kagome rolled her eyes as she indicated that every take a seat, taking the tray from a smiling and humming Mrs. Higurashi. "So glad my life provides entertainment for you."
"You still love me." an air kiss was thrown her way when he plopped himself in the only other available chair.
"Please forgive and ignore him. He's a brat." Kagome poured everyone tea leaving herself last. "So, how do you want to start this off?"
Satoru blinked behind his blindfold, wondering at the relationship between Kagome and this Shippo character when said male pulls her into his lap with no words of disagreement from her. It's casual and speaks of familiarity, what rubs him the wrong way is that this Shippo has the same thing blocking his six eyes as Inuyasha did.
Thankfully, Yuji jumps right in. "The park! How did you what you did to that curse?"
Her head tips slightly. "You'll have to explain what you mean by curse. I have the feeling it's very different from what I understand of curses."
Satoru leans forward to put his cup on the table. "Basically, curses are formed by the build-up of negative human emotions. The one from the park represented being turned down by a potential loved one and unrequited love." explanation finished, he smiles and asks, "What did you think curses were?"
"The actual act of cursing a person, place or object." she took a sip of her tea with a grateful sigh. "From the mild to outright death curses. Some of which can also be passed down from generation to generation."
Humming, Satoru contemplates her words, wondering about her having ever being in contact with a curse user. The idea doesn't sit well with him. Any further contemplation is interrupted when she turns to Shippo. "Did we ever cross paths with such back in the day?"
The man shrugs when he sips his tea, his free hand tapping a rhythm atop her knee. "Hard to say, those were wilder days and there was nor real organization or classification that we have today. Possibly. Or things either evolved or devolved with the times."
"Ya know, with what you do, I would have expected a more intelligent answer." she pinches the hand when it attempts to squeeze her knee.
"It's not all intelligence gathering, just so you know." there's a glint in his eyes that has Kagome shaking her head. "But, I can look into it, if I must."
"I would appreciate it, thank you." she raises a brow when a kiss is pressed against her cheek. "As for the other night in the park, I purified it."
"Purified?" Nobara's face scrunches up, turning to Satoru. "I've never heard of that technique.
"That's because it's not." his smile grows, anticipation growing in his gut when he picks up his cup again and stretches out a bit by leaning back. "At least, not for sorcerers."
"I don't get it." Yuji is looking between the two. The slits under his eyes begin to crack open, Satoru had wondered when Sukuna would make any form of an appearance.
Head tipping slightly, Satoru observed Kagome. In the world of sorcerers, there was cursed energy, curse users, and sorcerers and that was about it. Anything outside was considered myths and legends. So, he was highly anticipating her response.
"I'm a miko." her words had the excitement building in his stomach, it was just waiting to burst. "I utilize… well, my soul. The curse you mentioned was a collection of negative energy, so in such a situation, the positive energy in my soul is used to purify. Basically, cancel it out."
Tossing the rest of his tea back, he waves off their gracious hostess to refill his cup, he does so himself, this time with much more sugar. "Miss Kagome, I think I'm going to enjoy getting to know you."
Shippo's laugh at her expression, a mixture of confusion and exasperation, seemed to set the tone of what was to come.

Stuck on You: Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Of course, his students insisted that they come along to meet the woman that displayed such ease in dispelling a curse, who hadn't even looked at it while doing so. As for himself, he as interested in learning of what she was and how she did it, but he had stated he was simply returning her phone, even if it was more or less useless now, and wanting to get to know the beautiful young woman.
Again, all of it was true, it just wasn't his fault what part of those statements his lovely students decided to focus on.
"Can I help you?" the voice of an elder had them turning to find an old man standing near where the shrine sold their wares.
He wore simple haori and hakama, hands tucked behind his back. If it were not for his bushy brows being pinched, and the slight scowl that dipped his lips, he would appear very open and welcoming.
"Ah, yes!" stepping forward, Satoru pulled out the damaged device. "I believe this belongs to Kagome. She dropped it, and I'm here to return it."
There was a sigh from the old man, but before he could say anything, a new voice spoke up. "Oh, geez, what did Nee-chan do to it?" the young teen narrowed his eyes as he used a broom in his hold to help him keep propped up as he leaned forward. "Don't tell me, she tossed it."
The boy began to grumble though it quickly came to a stop when the old man raised a hand and swiftly smacked him upside the head.
"Ow! Jii-chan, what the heck?" broom forgotten, both hands were now soothing the relatively quick and most likely not that painful strike.
"Quit your whining. And why are you not sweeping the steps?" dark eyes beneath bushy brows locked with upset younger eyes.
"Gramps! That'll take forever, and Kagome also-!" words were forgotten when the boy ducked another swipe at him "Okay, okay, I'll get going! Still not fair though!"
The old man grumbled with a shake of his head. "...lack of respect and discipline. Come along then, she's this way." hunching over slightly, due to his age, the old man turned about and walked away from the main shrine.
His students observed the few patrons that milled about, oohing and awing at what they passed, though Nobara didn't seem as taken, and Megumi was more calm about it all as usual. Satoru was more interested in the barrier he had felt when they passed the first Tori arches at the bottom of the stairs. A hum escaped him when they passed what looked like an old store house not far from the Shrine's sacred tree, picking up on residual energy. Of what, he didn't know, but it was ancient and powerful, that much he was sure of. The tree itself was more alive than any other tree he's crossed paths with, although if he was honest with himself, he wasn't familiar with that many trees unless they held curse energy.
This Shrine was turning out to be just as interesting as the woman from last night!
"She's out back, though she's not alone." he waved towards a modest little house, modern compared to the rest of the Shrine grounds.
Nodding his thanks, Satoru watched as the man walked towards the house, quietly shuffling inside before closing the door behind him. With that, he walked after his adorable students, smile growing when voices were quickly heard.
"I still don't see the problem, didn't you say you wanted to help?" the voice belonged to a man, perhaps middle-aged based on tone and the slight gruffness to it.
A harsh sigh quickly followed. "While I'm more than willing to help, I can't have random people showing up while I'm at work!" there was a pause. His students stopped just after turning the corner, forcing him to stop behind them, and he saw why.
Kagome was once again dressed up more for working out, though this time she was barefoot save for some band wrappings that stopped above her ankles. There was also no jacket this time, her tank top tight-fitting. What had them all pausing was the very sharp metal blade she held at her side, it matched the one the male across from her held.
"My co-workers think I'm some sort of dominatrix that's into weird fertility kinks!" her cheeks took on an immediate flush, brows furrowed as she turned her head away in obvious anger. "And don't get me started on the propositions I've been getting ever since!"
The male, as Satoru felt in his gut was more than just a simple human, went from relaxed to upset in a second flat. His six eyes attempted to 'see' what made him different, but it gave him an instant headache, meaning something powerful was blocking his sight. So, instead, he took to cataloguing what he looked like right now.
White hair that was pulled in a low tail, revealing in the ear that he could see a single piercing. Burnt golden eyes were narrowed beneath dark and pinched brows. He wore a simple red polo shirt with jeans, and was also bare foot. The necklace he wore seemed a little out of place with his neat appearance, but he wasn't the fashion police. "You what?"
"No! No you don't! You do not have the right to get mad here!" the blade was immediately raised and pointed at him, blue eyes flashing. "You and your brother are at fault here. So, if you need me to do my part to help make whatever business deals finish up smoothly, then let me know ahead of time as well as tell them when I can see to their issues!"
Clearing his throat, though he was curious, he felt it was best to get this done and over with before either part got further involved in the conversation and more upset. Smile bright, he waved when the two turned to him. "Hello! I came to return this to Miss Kagome." he raised the damaged device, watching as the woman blinked a few times as her anger melted away to something a little more bashful.
"Is that your cell phone?" the man asked as he leaned forward a bit. "Why is it all fucked up?"
"Inuyasha!" blush deepening, the woman spun to glare at the man once again. "Watch your mouth! It's bad enough Souta's picked up on that bad habit of yours, try to keep it clean around guests." she grumbled as she put her blade away before approaching them.
"I'm sorry about him, he's an idiot." she rolled her eyes when he called out how he heard her. "And thank you for returning my phone."
She eyed the device when it was placed in her open palm, sighing as she turned it over, fingers running over the cracks. "Well, what's left of it." she tossed it over her shoulder, straight at her friend with rather careless ease. "Either you, or your brother, owe me a new phone!"
After a few fumbled attempts at catching it, which he sadly didn't if the cell phone clattering at his feet were any indication, Kagome sighed once again before turning to him with a somewhat bright smile. "Again, thanks for that. Totally forgot about it."
"Not a problem!" stuffing his hands into his pockets, rocking on his feet as he took enjoyment at the slight confusion on her face as he and his students remained. "I actually wanted to ask you about something."
At first her brows merely pinched a bit in further confusion, it was about half a heartbeat later she took a step back in caution while her face morphed into exasperation. "If it's about a fertility check, I will punch you. Regardless of you having done me a favour and regardless of you being a guest."
Yuji and Nobara actually chuckled and laughed, thankfully Megumi was more subtle in his amusement by turning away to cover his chuckles up by making it look like he was coughing. "No, no! Nothing like that. Trust me, everything is all in working order." he raised a hand to readjust his sunglasses, not sure if he should be amused or insulted she even came to such a conclusion. "No, I wanted to ask about how you took out the curse last night."
Anger quickly melting away and leaving nothing but confusion, she tilted her head in a rather adorable manner, blinking wide eyes up at him. "Curse? What curse?"
This time, Yuji jumped in, appearing excited and still amused. "The curse from last night at the park! I've never seen such a neat disposal of a curse!" his hands were quick in joining. "The glowing cell phone and then, poof! Glittering ash! What method did you use?"
"Uh…" at the boy's exuberance, she could only blink a few times. "I uh… I honestly don't remember?"
"Wait, wait!" Inuyasha spoke up, quick on approaching them. An arm wrapped around her from behind to promptly cover her mouth and trap her against him by pulling her away and into his side. His other hand was raised and pointing at him. "That asshole warned me about you. All I can say is this, stay the fuck away, ya got that? I don't need-! The fuck you bite me for?" shaking his hand, they all stared at the shiny teeth marks that were deeply imbedded in his palm and fingers.
"For nearly smothering me to death! And since when do you agree with your brother?" after a quick and harsh wipe of her face, she gave a sharp jab into his chest. "He's my guest, so be nice! Hell, if I want to date him I will, and you have no say in it!" when he attempted to open his mouth, she leaned in close, voice lowered to a hiss. "Don't even think about it, or I'll call your wife."
Whatever argument was immediately killed before it could take flight. Lips tightly pursed, Inuyasha gave a sharp exhale, turned his head aside and muttered lowly. "Bitch."
"Damn right!" she turned to him, rubbing at her brow as her posture drooped. "Look, I honestly don't remember last night, it's all a frustrating blur for obvious reasons. And this isn't the time or place to have this conversation."
"Oh? But you're willing to have this conversation?" he was happy to hear that at least she wasn't going to brush him off. "And if here isn't okay, then when and where do you think will be?" he hoped sooner rather than later. The curiosity was beginning to niggle at the back of his mind, the questions were only mounting.
"A few days, here, but inside. This isn't just about me, so I'll need to discuss this with a few others to see what they're comfortable in what I can share." she was quick to slap a raised hand, not even blinking at the muttering from Inuyasha as he once again shook off the stinging pain she inflicted on his already injured hand. "I hope you can understand."
While he was a little disappointed that he wasn't getting his answers right away, he felt that a few days was better than nothing. "Alright. Will it be alright to bring my students along?"
Kagome leaned back, blinking at him before her eyes swept over his form. While he was wearing the standard 'civilian' clothes to allow him to better fit in, he did still tend to stick out. "Students? You're a teacher? You know what, we can share that information in a few days." she shook her head, now looking tired. "It was a pleasure to meet you…"
"Satoru. Gojo Satoru." his introduction was standard, but what happened next was entirely out of the norm. His hand, which had been readjusting his sunglasses was in the middle of being stuffed back into his pocket, only, Kagome intercepted it, bypassing his infinity without any thought or hindrance.
"Kagome. Higurashi Kagome." her smile is warm and welcoming. And like the rest of her appearance, hiding deep and powerful truths about the petite woman before him. Truths he intended on learning.
