What is a Concealed Carry Permit?

Concealed carry means the act of carrying a pistol or other firearm in public either in a visible or concealed manner, either within one's person or at proximity to the target, on one's body or in the hands. There is no law in which an individual is required to carry a gun. The purpose of carrying the weapon is not to protect oneself but to make it easier for the other person or persons involved to identify and avoid the assailant and other threat.
