the attention the countess receives from others is something she expects, something she looks forward to... but lately, it's anything but exciting. her suitors are all the same -- quick to fall in love and quick to fall out of love, but she desires the kind of person she can convince to stick around before she hurts them as deeply and terribly as she can. after all, elizabeth herself has been broken beyond repair -- or so she believes -- and to have others feel the pain she's gone through is rather pleasurable for her.

it's why she's decided to take a trip to the club tonight, to go hunting alone, and with the eyes of one rather beautiful woman nearly glued to her, she knows she's made the right decision. of course there are others staring at the countess, but they are of no consequence to her. unabashedly, albeit briefly, making eye contact with the dark haired woman, she'll grin; got her. it's not even a full minute later that she's being approached, elizabeth softening her expression as silky smooth voice replies. ❝ hello, ❞ she'll begin, emerald gaze practically beaming as they take in the other just as the other takes her in. ❝ who's asking? ❞ the platinum blonde replies, daring to play just a little hard to get.

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ— Evan was a complete stranger to night life. No matter how she fought sleep, she'd never exactly been a party animal. As obsessed with purity and perfection as she had been growing up, and sort of in the present, she'd never been able to bring herself to let loose enough to enjoy it. But everything was legal to her, now, had been for a long while, and she was working on letting go of control. She knew it was killing her, her desperate need to take command over every aspect of her life. Letting things just... Happen, was necessary. Which is what brought her out that night.

She was grateful it did, now.

After catching sight of the blonde woman from across the room, heat rose to her cheeks, and her star struck gaze was suddenly her property. Eyes lingering until they met hers, being caught only turned pink cheeks darker. What did she even do, now? Butterflies were alive in her stomach, and she knew she'd regret it if she didn't say anything to her. What was there to say, though? Hey, you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen? Yeah, no. That wasn't happening.

After eye contact that felt like it lasted much too long, made her breath stop in her throat, she moved her gaze across the room. Others seemed as star struck as she was, and she knew she would have a hard time saying anything if she didn't make her decision quick.

Swallowing hard, she crossed the room as if she was pulled by gravity, an inevitability instead of a choice. "Um, hi," she began awkwardly. Gaze wandering to her lips instead of her eyes for just a few moments before internally scolding herself. "I was wondering if I could get you a drink?"
