Woke up to magpies building a nest above my window again, read a book for an hour or so, went outside to let my face be engulfed by the gorgeous sunlight. Away with winter and hello spring glory

i want to have a garden full with flowers and fruits and vegetables and trees and a pond and nice little spots where i can read and drink tea and be happy and in peace

I don't regret most things in my life because I am comfortable with endings I think. nothing is so terrible or so good that it cannot also end. there's a lot of peace in that. nothing is inescapable or eternal. thank god.

i sit in the sun. i drink tea. i recieve a message from my friend. i read a book. i take a walk. i fall in love with life a little bit.

“Straws give you wrinkles” “sunlight gives you age spots” “smiling with your eyes gives you laugh lines” okay but what if I did that. What if I drank Vanilla Coke from a bendy straw and danced in the sunlight and laughed with reckless abandon. What then. We all age we all get wrinkles we all grow old and dammit I will do it with the sun on my face and the joy of life at my back

Sometimes the small pleasures hit different. A clean house, a hot drink, making something from scratch, sitting on the porch with a loved one. Little soul-feeding activities.

Taking a walk because it feels good going to bed on time because it feels good waking up earlier because it feels good eating enough fruit because it feels good doing a workout because it feels good cooking myself a nice meal because it feels good staying in contact with friends because it feels good… sometimes joy is work but it’s always worth it
