Okay you’d think out of all animals out there a huge scary animal might be one of the most deadliest animals, but no 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒂 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒈. A small harm free looking frog is said to possibly be one of the most dangerous ones out there.

I mean to be fair these frogs are pretty abnormal looking.

Ex;

despite them being deadly, these are honestly pretty interesting.

Like literally one shot from this thing and you’re done. It’s insane this guy is tiny running around 2 inches, but it’s said to have enough poison to kill 10 people. That’s insane. What makes it possibly even scarier the poison is found on the skin, meaning if you were to touch one of these depending on the kind of poison frog, it could be fatal, cause swelling, cause nausea, etc; Although some of these poison frogs are considered only toxic.

These guys scientific classification is, Dendrobatidae.

Each color variation of these guys have a different name. Some of these are, the Golden poison frog, the strawberry poison dart frog, green and black poison dart frog and the list goes on.

Each of the types of poison/poison dart frogs vary, one type may live longer than the other or vary in length.

Okay, but something that is also pretty crazy is scientists believe the toxins found in the losing of blue dart frogs could be beneficial for humans. As of a 2019 article scientists were researching to see if these ‘toxins’ could be used in medicines.

The strawberry poison dart frogs are actually only considered toxic! Touching one may only cause swelling, paralysis, nausea. Yeah still a lot to go through but not as extreme as the other kinds of these frogs.

As of known, there is only one predator to the poison dart frogs, that would be the fire-bellied snakes. These snakes are said to have an immunity to the toxins and poison of these frogs! Funny enough these snakes are not venomous and aren’t even that aggressive!
