It’s already been 9 months since your husband left for the dangerous mission in Hawaii, you were completely broken as your husband wasn’t here with you and daughter who just turned 6. But what really made you feel a bit happy, was the FaceTime calls and text messages he sent you every day like he promised. You even cried more than once on the FaceTime calls with him, Kayo would tell her father about her day at school making you smile. There was just still a pit of worry in your stomach, until you got a phone call from Bakugou at 8 in the morning.

“Katsuki?” You tiredly called out his name “Hey baby I want you to listen to me.” You immediately felt your heart sank “This week is gonna be seriously dangerous, and I’m not allowed to be in contact with you until the first day of the new month.” Your knees began to buckle as fat tears stung your eyes, “W-what?” Bakugou sighed sadly “Baby I’m sorry, my boss doesn’t want any of us making phone calls this week. It’s super important and I don’t know if I will be coming home... I’m sorry my love.” Your mind was fuzzy as you dropped to your knees letting out a hard sob making Bakugou feel so bad, he really wished he could wrap his arms around you. You didn’t hear Kayo walk in before she wrapped her small arms around your shoulder, “Mommy? Are you okay?” You gasped softly before telling bakugou a small “Hold on” you turned to your daughter as you cupped her face, you felt like crying looking at your daughters face. She looked exactly like her father, “Baby listen to me. Daddy just c-called me a-and this week is g-gonna be really h-hard for daddy and he won’t be able to call o-or FaceTime us a-anymore, I-I’m s-sorry b-baby I-if daddy d-doesn’t come h-home.” You choked out as more tears fell down your face, Kayo hiccuped as her own tears fell down her heels. She wrapped her arms around your neck as she hugged you tightly. “C-can we talk to d-daddy now?” Kayo asked as she sniffed, you nodded as you grabbed your phone and put it on speaker. “D-daddy?” Bakugou frowned “Hey pumpkin, you doing okay?” “Y-yes I m-miss you d-daddy.” Kayo began to cry again making Bakugou wince “I miss you too princess, gosh I wish I was home. But I promise princess I will try my best to come home early, just be a good girl for mommy okay?” “O-okay.” Kayo wiped her tears making you kiss her head “J-just please be a-safe Katsuki.” “I know baby trust me, I gotta get going but remember babe I love you and Kayo dearly and that I always love you.” His words sent another wave of tears down your face, Kayo cupped your cheek as she wiped them away. “I-I love you Katsuki.” “And I love you more Y/N.” And with that you hung up, you pulled Kayo into a hug as the two of you sobbed uncontrollably.

It was the first week of June, it’s been 10 months already. Your loved one was finally gonna come home, you only feared he wasn’t gonna be on the plane. You and Kayo got dressed and ate breakfast before driving by the airport, you heart was pounding the whole car ride. You were thinking all the bad things not staying positive. “Mommy?” You snapped out of your daze as you heard Kayo “Yes baby?” “Daddy is gonna be on the plane right?” You sighed “I-I really hope so honey.” Kayo nodded as she looked out the window and traced the droplets of rain on the window. Please be on the plane Katsuki.

You and Kayo were at his gate, you heart was literally about to explode. You haven’t talked to Katsuki for over 6 or 7 weeks, you feared he was gone. The loud speaker came on announcing his plane was here, Kayo squeezed your hand while looking at you. You picked her up and hugged her tightly, out of nowhere you see everyone on the plane get off. Your eyes scanned for your husband, you saw nothing so far. “P-please please.” You whispered as you continued to scan at the crowed, Kayo started to scan with you. As the last people came out... you felt like this wasn’t real. You felt like puking, you felt dizzy and your throat was dry. You just hugged Kayo tightly as you two cried, passengers just stared in cursorily. “I-I’m s-so sorry Kayo.” Kayo just snuggled into your neck as she wailed, you two just walked to the exit sobbing. “D-daddy... I want daddy.” Kayo’s words teared you up as you kissed her forehead, “I-I know baby me too.”

Your knees felt weak as the two of you walked to the car, your vision was blurry from the nonstop tears coming down. But you saw a fuzzy figure in front of your car a few feet away, you wiped your tears away. Your eyes widened as you saw Katsuki with cuts, bruises, and a black eye. You never ran so fast in your life, “K-Katsuki!!!” Bakugou ran towards you as you both embraced each other, you both were panting. You let out a loud sob as you never felt so relieved, Bakugou held you close and Kayo close as he sobbed. “G-gosh I missed y-you girls s-so much.” Bakugou cupped your face as he smashed his lips on yours, the kiss was long and filled with love. “I-I miss y-you so much k-katsuki, I-I thought you w-were dead.” You hiccuped as you kept hugging him, Kayo immediately jumped into her fathers arms. “D-daddy! I-I missed y-you so much.” Bakugou only cried more as he held his small daughter close, gosh it’s been forever. “Gosh I-I missed y-you tons and tons pumpkin you have no idea.” Kayo sobbed in her fathers arms as you awed at the sight, you wrapped your arms around his waist as you leaned on his chest. Bakugou wrapped his arm around you and held you and Kayo closely, he kissed your forehead. “I told you I was coming back babe.” You smiled as you kissed him again, you intertwined your hands with his. “Come on let’s go home, I’ve missed your cuddles and Kayo missed you in a princess dress.” Bakugou chuckled as he held Kayo closely and squeezed your hand, he gave you a smile. “I love you Baby so much.” You leaned on his arm as you walked to the car “And I love you more Katsuki.”

You never felt so happy in your life.

It's moments like these that Camilo always looks forward to. Just you and him, in each other's arms, basking in comfortable silence. After all, what better way to spend a lazy day than spending it with your lover? A small smile creeps on to his face as he glances at you. "There's nothing like doing nothing with you, mi amor." He mumbles, sighing softly.

You chuckled, resting your head against his shoulder. "Te amo, Camilo.", your voice comes out as a whisper, "You're seriously amazing, you know that?" Lifting your head from his shoulder, you turn to look at him. The gentle smile that graces your features has your boyfriend nearly melting on the spot. You bring up your hand to cup his cheek, thumb rubbing on the freckled skin. His cheeks darken at your actions, but he leans into your touch.

With your free hand, you take Camilo's hand into yours, lifting up to your lips to place a kiss to the back of it. "I think… I'm the one who's supposed to be doing that to you, mi vida." He giggles, intertwining your fingers.

"Has anyone ever told you about how handsome you are?"

You feel his cheeks become warmer at that. "I could stare at you all day. You're like a work of art, Camilo.", He shyly averts his gaze from you, chewing on his bottom lip. "(Name), where is all this coming from?"

A soft laugh comes from you, and Camilo feels his heart swell at the sound of it. Music to my ears. "Am I not allowed to express how deeply in love I am with you?", the hand that was once on his cheeks goes under his chin, the tip of your finger tilting his head up a bit. His gaze meets yours and he's met with a tender, loving gaze; It makes his stomach do flips.

You lean in towards him, prepping kisses all over his face as you wrap your arms around him. "Corazón! It tickles!" Camilo gently tries to push you away, but you and him both know that he doesn't want you to stop. He places both his hands on either side of your waist, quiet laughter escaping him as you smother him with kisses.

The moment you pull away, you take a few seconds to admire the look on his face. He looked absolutely drunk from your kisses.

"Huh? Why'd you stopppp…?" Camilo whines, dragging out his words. He's pouting, and you find it adorable. "Kiss me again, mi cielo…" He puckers his lips, waiting for you to give him what he wants. Instead of a kiss, you place a finger on his lips.

His gaze meets yours, and he doesn't fail to notice the look of pure, unadulterated love and adoration your eyes hold. It makes him feel all warm inside.

"Have I ever told you about how much I love your freckles?"

Camilo raises a brow at you. "Plenty of times, cariño."

"Well… I'm telling you about it again."

He chuckles softly, and you do as well. "They're really beautiful. You're beautiful, Camilo.", You press your forehead against his. "Díos, is there even a word to describe just how… wonderful you are? I don't think there is. Words alone are not enough to describe how much you mean to me."

You lightly run your fingers over the freckles on his face and the bridge of his nose, tracing them in a random pattern. "They're like the constellations."

"I bet that makes stargazing so easy for you during the daytime then, huh?" Camilo says, grinning at you. Giggling, you place a kiss to the tip of his nose.

"Really? Just on the nose?"

With a roll of your eyes, you gently press your lips against his. Camilo wastes no time and quickly returns the kiss, slowly shutting his eyes. Warmth blossoms in your chest, and you were so sure your lover could hear how fast and how loud your heart was beating. It may have lasted only a couple of seconds, but time felt like it was going by at a snail's pace.

Once you pull away, Camilo is left breathless. Lips slightly parted as he stared up at you, his honey brown eyes filled with so much love for you that you could feel it in your heart.

"Happy now?"

Camilo's usual grin returns to his face. "I'm beyond happy right now, mi amor… Te amo."

Chuckling, you press one last quick kiss to his soft lips. "Yo también te amo, Camilo."

Y/N jumped up. The sudden scare made her let out a shriek. She whipped her head around only to see Camilo Madrigal absolutely losing it. He was crying from laughter and he couldn’t catch his breath. He almost fell down from the lack of oxygen. Y/N rolled her eyes and kicked him in his calf which successfully shut him up.

“Jeez, tonta, you’re stronger than I remembered.” Camilo laughed. Through his pain.

“I’ve asked this many times, yet no answer. What is wrong with you?”

“I was trying out a new greeting?” It sounded like he was trying to convince himself as well.

“Well, it sucked. What do you need? Are you still in need of distraction?”

Camilo didn’t like her tone. 

“No,” he deadpanned. “Can’t I just come up to my friend and talk to her?”

Y/N blinked before grinning widely. She crossed her arms, took a step back and stared him up and down. “We’re friends?”

Camilo looked around confused. “Well, yeah. Was there ever any doubt?”

“No, no, no,” she said, putting her hands up in defence. “Just… That’s the first time you said it out loud.”

A/N → I recently rewatched httyd 2 and I can't get this song out of my head, I also think it would sound cute in a Camilo x reader fanfic

You and Camilo have known each other ever since you found him hiding from his family before his gift ceremony, from how nice and caring you were to him even when you have never met him he thought you were an angel. After his ceremony he came up to you and and asked you to marry him, you were 5 so your parents and his laughed about it. And after that day you were inseparable, literally anywhere you went Camilo would be with you and vice versa. And even after growing up and knowing what it meant, Camilo asked you to marry him again, maybe like every time he sees how nice and caring you are, or for how amazing your smile is when you two pull pranks on the townspeople.

You were now 10 and life couldn't get better for the two of you, but all of a sudden your parents told you some news that would change your life, and the problem is you didn't know how to tell Camilo. It was another normal day in the town of Encanto and you two were hanging out in the little hideout you found in the woods near the village. Camilo was laying on the grass while you hanged upside down from a tree branch, and Camilo could tell that something was bothering you with how quiet you were "hey mi vida, everything ok?" he would always use pet names since he always heard his parents use them, and old habits die hard.

His voice snapped you out of your thoughts making you almost fall from where you were. "Everything is fine. Why do you ask?" you sit up looking at him as he stood from where he was laying "you look like something is bothering you, did something happen? or someone bothered you? Do I have to-" "Milo" you cut him off as you jump down from the branch walking up to him "No one did anything it's just..." you took a deep breath, not knowing how to tell him. He reached for your hand and pulled you into a hug "What's bothering you cariño?" you hug him back and bury your face into his shoulder "well, my parents had just told me today that... My father got accepted to a job he applied to and-" You pulled a way to look at him, but quickly looked away "we'll have to... We're moving away to the city for my father's job" you look up at him again only to see his smile fade away, turning into a frown "but... You're coming back again right?" he asked with a glimpse of hope in his eyes, you bury your face into his shoulder again hugging him tightly, with him doing the same "We're not sure yet. But there is a chance" he just hugs you tighter "we're staying for the celebration for your newborn brother, then we're leaving" he then pulled away from the hug and held up both your hands "then in that case I wanna promise you something"

After you left Camilo had always hoped for you to come back, never forgetting about you or the promise you two made before you left. Now he was 15 and after the accident with the miracle his family was closer and happier than ever.

But what he didn't know that life had more surprises for him.

One day he came back from doing his chores to his house being decorated by his family and some of the townspeople helping "Mijo perfect timing, can you help me carry these bags into the kitchen?" Pepa asked him once she noticed he had come back. "Sure but what's the occasion for all of this?" he asked as he walked into the kitchen to find his tía making a feast "It's a surprise. You'll know when it happens" Julieta added as she took the bag from him.

He continued to help around asking several people what the occasion was but they all would refuse to tell him.

By the time everything was done more people started to arrive to Casita. Camilo was tired from all the work so he decided to relax in your hideout and since he didn't know the occasion for whatever was today he figured it wouldn't bother him.

As he sat on the grass gazing at the night sky he heard footsteps getting closer 'but no one knows about this place except for me' he thought as a figure started to get closer. Once he saw you he recognized you instantly, though your features had changed he could tell it was you.

"Luna?" he he couldn't believe you were actually there, he hoped you would come back but it was a small glimpse and he wouldn't be that surprised if you didn't come back. "it's been a while" you waved at him. He took slow steps towards you in case this was all in his head, he finally reached you, reaching out his hand to touch your cheek. He then hugged you tightly making you lose your balance a little "You took way too long you idiot" he says burying his face in your shoulder, you hug him back just as tightly "Lo siento, I got held back a little" you joked as he pulled away, cupping your face with his hands "you're finally back" he whispered as he leaned his forehead agent yours.

You two just stayed there the rest of the night, catching up with each other. After talking you two fell in a comfortable silence just enjoying each other's company, Until Camilo broke it, whistling a song you memorized just as good as your name.

you then feel a few rain drops falling on your head, you look around to see Pepa, Dolores, Isabela and your mother watching you, Pepa crying tears if joy for seeing her son so happy, with Dolores trying to calm her down. Camilo buried his face in your shoulder as you hugged him tighter "Bienvenida a casa querida" he pulls away and pulls your hand up, kissing the back of it.

Being born in a magical family wasn't easy and you definitely knew that. The magic of your family was always considered a curse and the previous town your family lived in always said your magic was a terrible curse that landed apon them, that led them to chase the family out of their home and for days they were stranded in the woods not having anywhere to go. Until they stumbled on a small town Called Encanto where they heard that there was a woman with her 3 children who are just like your family, and that's how your family settled in Encanto as their new home. Of course every one had their special powers, your mother being able to feel how someone's feeling just by a touch, your older brother having the ability to control water and your little sister who can read minds, and these are all useful powers which they can help people with but when it comes to you, your power was to create flower shaped flames in any color you wanted, and sure it might look nice but I was really dangerous. You almost burned your room when you were 5 just by a small flower that touched the sheets of the bed, and after that day your mother prevented you from using you power again just so you don't hurt anyone.

So most of the town thought you were born without a power, which made you feel like an outcast. But that was until you bumped into Camilo in the market when you were 11 and since that day you became partners in crime. Of course at first you were scared to tell him about your power, thinking that he would be scared that you would hurt him but when you showed him he was amazed by it, and for once you felt accepted for who you really were.

And that leads to this moment where you two are hiding behind some wooden boxes in an alley way, you had just pranked the owner of the firework stand by lighting up some of the fireworks that where supposed to be used at the celebration for Casita being rebuilt and the Madrigals getting their gifts back, which was a few days away. When you got back home you found your mother waiting for you with your cousin who was a year younger than you "Mami is there something wrong?" you then see the smirk on your cousin's face then you knew what had happened. Your cousin who her power allowed her to make anyone tell the truch by just one question. "Didn't I tell you to not use you power out of the house? And in front of people to be specific?" you mother asked in an angry tone and she was visibly upset "You don't allow me to use it anywhere actually" you cross you arms in front of your chest, looking at the floor.

The next day you didn't have any chores so after breakfast you stayed in your room, too tired to get out of bed. You were laying on your bed staring at the ceiling when you heard a knock on your door "come in" and there stood the curly haired boy leaning against the door frame when it hit you, you were supposed to meet with Camilo after he was done with his chores "hey, I didn't know La princesa had more important things to do than meet with a simple boy like me" he said sarcasticly, making you rool you eyes at him "sorry, I forgot. And stop it with the pet names" you said at you turned to face the wall. Camilo caught the sadness in your voice, his smile dropped when he walked over and saw your expression. "Ay ¿Estás bien?" he sat down on the edge of the bed but before he could reach a hand to rub your shoulder you sat up and smiled at him "Sí I'm fine, just a little tired" you said as you rubbed your arm lightly and he knew that you would do that when you're Lying. He didn't reply he just pulled you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you.

You were taken a back by his actions that you froze in your place, he then moved his hands one resting on your lower back and the other one in your hair stroking it lightly "Camilo-" "You can tell me anything ya' know. You don't have to hide anything from me, unless you're uncomfortable with telling me" he then started to pull away but you hugged him back keeping him in his place "It's not like that, I do trust you and I know that I can tell you anything but... It's stupid, and I don't want to bother you with my problems and-" "Eso es jodidamente estúpido" he cut you off pulling away to look at you "Your problems are not stupid, you don't bother me and you're my best friend so your problems are mine too" you just looked to the side avoiding his gaze, face rising with heat.

"Why though?" Camilo looked at you confused "What do you mean?" you looked back at him with tears threatening to fall "Why do you care so much? I'm nothing but a monster, my powers are way too dangerous, I could hurt you any time!" you hugged him tightly burying your face into his chest as the tears started to fall down your face "My own family thinks that, so why don't you?" he held onto your fore-arm rubbing it lightly with his thumb, pulling you aways so he can look at you properly, he then cups you cheek with his hand "well this might not be how I wanted to tell you this but..." he took a deep breath before holding your face with both hands and looking into your eyes "Me gustas, and I have for a while" he continued "Everything about you is just perfect, the was your hair frames your face, the way your eyes shine in the light, how your smile always manages to take my breath away and how you are La luna de mi vida. Hell everything about you is just amazing" by saying all that he left you speachless. You never thought that Camilo would ever return you feelings, seeing that he flirts with every girl he meets "Pero está bien si no te sientes de la misma manera. I Just hope we could stay friends and-" You then cut him off by pressing a quick peck onto his lips that if he didn't pay attention he would've missed the action "I never said I didn't Tú Idiota" you said burying your face into the crook of his neck, hiding how red your face was right now. Camilo just smiled and hugged you again, placing a soft kiss to the side of your head, rubbing your arm gently.

"So you're not scared that I would hurt you with my powers?" you pulled away, looking at his muddy green eyes, he shook his head "No en un millón de años te tendría miedo, porque me encanta cómo brillas mi amor" he kissed the tip of your nose making you smile, you then leaned up and kissed his nose before going down and hugging him again, he pulled up his ruana to let you slide your head through the hole so he feels like you're even close, and you both just stay like that for a while "Te amo Cariño" You break the silence, the smiles and kisses the top of your head "Yo también te quiero Mi vida"

“Ay, dios mío…” Y/N muttered under their breath.

Life in Encanto was usually carefree. Keyword: usually. Even in a peaceful village like this, bad days did happen from time to time. For Y/N that day was today. Actually, yesterday as well. And the day before that. The streak of these awful days has reached seven a long time ago. They decided to stop counting after that, slowly accepting their new life as the bearer of bad luck. It could be some small misfortune, like ripping their favorite shirt, twisting their ankle from stepping on a wet stone or losing one of their last hair ties. It could also be something worse, like getting sick from spending the day near Señora Pepa, who just happened to have a bad day herself which meant a lot of rainy clouds. It could be that Y/N’s little hermana Luz was feeling snarky and decided to lock her sibling in their bedroom for a while.

Today they got a hairbrush stuck in their hair.

You laid awake in your bed, completely restless. Today was tiering, you ran all around the town delivering orders from your parents' store running around from here to there non-stop all day. You even had to cancel your date with Camilo cause you were busy all day, he told you that it was fine and that you would make up for it but you still felt bad.

When you returned home after finishing your chores you couldn't wait to just fall asleep on your comfy bed, but for some reason once your head hit the pillow you couldn't fall asleep. No matter how hard you tried, How quiet the night was, how calming the moon looked or how the gentle night breeze hit your frame you couldn't get any sleep whatsoever. So here you were tossing and turning in your bed trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in but with no use. That was until you heard a quiet knock on your window, when you sit up to look at the window you see Camilo sitting on the window railing legs dangling outside "buenas noches mi vida, Hopefully I didn't wake you up" he says as he jumps in now standing in front of the window, You stand up and walk towards him wrapping your arms around his neck and giving him a soft peck to his lips "Nah don't worry, couldn't sleep anyways" He just wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you closer "Why's that?" he mumbles softly as he sways both of you in the moonlight "Don't know, Not that tired I guess" he hums softly as he kept his hold on you "Why are you here this late though?" You pull away to look at his face, he just shrugged "Couldn't sleep too, so I thought I could come and check if you were asleep" he leaned in placing a soft kiss to the your temple "Now that I know you're awake, Wanna make up for the date you canceled today?" you almost forgot about that, you let your arms fall to your sides "Oh yea, sorry about that" You say felling like you let him down, he then reaches for your hand leading it up to his lips and kissing is gently "It's alright hermosa, You were busy today so I don't blame you" you then lean towards him kissing the tip of his nose softly "Ok wait outside, I'll change into something else and come out" he then flashed you a soft smile before carefully climbing down from the window.

"Cami could you at least tell me where we're going? You know how I am with surprises" you said as he led you through the woods "Just wait a little amor, we're almost there" he continued to lead you deeper into the woods, you just went along with him letting out a sigh.

A few minuets you were on a cliff with bushes of moon flowers surrounding it with a view of the full moon above it, it was one of the most beautiful things you've ever saw "Dios mío, Milo when did you find this place? It's beautiful" Camilo was leading you to a blanket that was laid a bit far from the bushes "I found it a while ago but I wanted to bring you here when there's a full moon so all the flowers were blooming" he then sat down making you sit in front of him, leaning your back onto his chest. "just make sure not touch the flowers, they might be poisonous" he hooked his chin on top of your head "still, they're pretty. Almost can't believe they're poisonous" he wrapped his arms around your waist making you lean into his touch more "Well they're not as pretty as you, mi luna" you turned your head to look at him, a slight blush on your face "You're pretty too mi sol" you leaned up and kissed his cheek softly. He then started placing kisses all over your face, making you giggle. You two stayed in each other's embrace the rest of the night.
