I appreciate your concern, but I’ve got this.
Gaia Everfree’s main power is the ability to control the growth of the forest. David has a sneaking suspicion that whatever it is she’s controlling, it’s not quite wood.

Overrated! Besides! I can always just root you to the ground, if you really like gravity that much!!

I for one think we should bring back becoming abominations of Equestrian Magic to solve our problems. Just your average Plant Deity and her friends, Eternal Night, Gender: Chaos, and Evil Bug.

“Why? Because I had a horrible dream where a dear friend was in the hospital and the nurses wouldn’t let me see them unless I had SNACKS and a DRINK to give them when they woke up. And their vending machines were broken, so I had to drive TWO HOURS to town just for lemonade and trail mix. That’s why!” he punctuates this shutting the door to the back seat, snacks and water bottles tucked away in cup holders and the car door.

Foreigner’s God by Hozier but you’re walking through howling wind. You’re not quite sure where you are and where you’re trying to get but something tells you you have to keep walking, following the path that you’re on.

So David Birch lives in a modest little cabin (think tiny home) with a loft. Despite its size and his preference for having space for more people, he makes it homey, and since it’s an old, old little cabin, it’s never not a fixer upper no matter how much work he puts in it.
Loft:
It’s the bedroom with a queen-size mattress. It’s an open room with a railing at the edge to keep him from falling on his face (though he has tried jumping off to meet the couch…it ended badly.)
Ground Floor:
Standard living space with a couch and arm chair. The bookshelf next to the fireplace contains all of his scrapbooks, books on wildlife and bird-watching, and a copy of The Little Prince signed by his mom.
The kitchen/dining area has it’s appliances, except for a dish washer. Stove/oven runs on gas. The door next to the sink leads out to David’s personal vegetable garden.
Pantry/Storage is cramped, and not pictured here is a washing machine (no dryer, he line dries). Don’t be fooled by the “pantry” title, the foods in there are mostly forgotten and only remembered when he’s doing laundry and asking himself what possessed him to pick up so much canned tuna? This is also where the spare pillows and blankets are sitting. It’s always cold in here.
Bathroom is small and cramped, but he managed to get a tub/shower hybrid to fit in there. Arguably the most annoying room in the house, there’s often something wrong with the pipes and David gets dangerously close to becoming the dad from A Christmas Story when he’s working on the furnace. Sink has cabinets.
He also has a shaded front porch where he keeps a wicker couch! Fun fact, when he moved in, the only painted space in the cabin was the porch ceiling. It was a pretty light blue color. He painted over it with yellow because, as silly as it sounded then, he was unnerved by what looked like large claw marks in the blue.

//I'm at work now so I'll do a little more work here later, but an important notice for folks who followed the og campkeeper blog
Since it was a project that became more of a hassle than fun, I've decided to cut off the pre-plotted overarching story I had going on. I may still hit points I wanted to do, but the fact of the matter is I wanted to do a LOT by myself, and that ended up not being fun anymore.
World headcanons are still in place, Sleepy God and Rot King are still present, and there's ONE thing I still wanna do but the causes of it are up for plotting. Everything's the same, except no linear plot going on on my end so it's much less stressful for me! :)
