#writign takes a lot more consistent effort from me #i like both an i LOVE looking back at both #but drawign is a lot more....subconscious skill i guess for me #just kinda vibing and feeling it. going by eye #whilst with writing i gotta sit ther and go 'ok does this flo well? am i hittig all the themes i want?' #'is this dialogue in character?' etc etc #misc #sbout me #though interestignly i do thik its easier for me to get across EXACTLY what im picturing with writig #since its more of a techical process for me i feel like its easier to be specific #whilst with drawing i am still limited by both my hands and the brushes i use #and my abiity at certain techniques like perspective and all that #like...something to believe in (my pokemon fic lol) is a lot more 1:1 to how itis in my head #than like....my webcomic- a long walk home for example #which is still great and im very happy wth it but i have to make more....compromises i suppose #'this isnt exactly how it looks in my head but that ok' it till looks good. i looks like i drew it #im more used t making thse compromises with drawing at this poit anywayso it doesnt really bother me but its still interestig to me

There’s that post that’s like ‘everyone should get into a tiny niche fandom at least once’ fully agree, that was really fun -- but I would like to add that everyone should get into a fandom where their opinions run counter to major fanon because it really teaches you about sticking to your guns and trusting your interpretation of the text without having to rely on peer validation

i'm all for genuine earnest anaylsis of media and its themes, its one of my fave things to do, but ngl sometimes there's nothing more fun than absorbing a relationship dynamic through secondhand means (mutual fandom osmosis, a friend, etc) and then trawling the tag with only partial context and slorping up all of the most deranged homo art u can find
