Turquoise Turkic Flags

The name turquoise even comes from the French word for Turkish. Also, I’m aware that the flag of East Turkestan is already a blue version of the Turkish flag, but just play along.

Redesigning the Virginian flag

So the original Virginia flag was based on the whole “Sic Semper Tyrannis” Bit, IE anti-tyranny/monarchy. That was the main piece I wanted to adopt on my new flag, hence the upside down crown. I also used 10 stars to represent that Virginia was the 10th state, whilst he 5 stripes represent the 5 traditional regions of Virginia.

Redesigning The New York State Flag

This one was a little but of a challenge, and I can see why my upstate fans might not like it.

New York’s current flag is simply a seal on a bedsheet, and its not even a good seal this time like Virginia or Oklahoma. For a start, I knew I had to incorporate orange and blue due to the states Dutch heritage, as well as the current colors of New York City, the 11 stars stand for, you guessed it, New York was the 11th state. The Empire State Building, one of New York’s most iconic landmarks, is where it gets tricky. Obviously this kind of centers the flags meaning on New York City, despite that the state is a lot more than just that. I couldn’t really find another symbol that represented New York so well however, so I went with it.
