local bastard man deals with his internalized biphobia, and develops a poly-relationship with his co-worker and girlfriend while also becoming Jacked as SHIT after a vacation to New Vegas: More At 11
Tumblr media
After the war with the BoS calmed down and Nesh and Vinnie were reunited after Vinnie spent weeks thinking she was dead, Nesh and Vinnie went to New Vegas for a trip. When they finally returned from Vegas and their cross country trip a few months later it was greatly noticeable that his hair was not the only thing too have changed about him, as it would seem that Vinnie had finally reached a new point in his life where he was able to relax, gain some weight, let his hair grow out and continue to gray and put a little muscle on
In the process, Vinnie also learned a bit about himself and was able to come to terms with the side of his sexuality he had tried to hide for so many years, and as a result managed successfully too sustain a poly-relationship between Nesh, Himself and a Co-work of his by the name of Lucian.
Needless to say, he has never been more happier in his life until now

Did you know In 2285 a Yao Guai found and consumed what people believed to be half of it’s own body weight in a powdered variant of the drug Pyscho.
Pyscho Bear, as he is officially named now was found dead sprawled over a tote-bag which was believed to contain almost 15,000 caps worth of the powered drug.
This also means for almost 5 minutes until the poor animals heart eventually ceased, there was a window where he was the most dangerous apex predator on any fucking continent.
His body is being held on display at Guild HQ for open visitation

Plains Behemoth
Tumblr media
“One of the biggest animals this side of the valley. It often stomps first, asks questions later. Don’t get too close.”
The USA after the bombs dropped was known to have had a major exodus event- a great migration that was signaled with the passing of many various animal species migrating as far as they could away from the blast zones. While sadly many did not survive and those who did either carved out a new life for themselves someplace else, or returned to their native habitats as time went on, few never surprised survivors as much as the presence of what is now considered to be one of the largest species of mammal who now calls parts of the middle of the US home.
Description Mammuthus Aglaogomphio (“Mammoth with the Brilliant Tooth”) is a gargantuan sized, partially shaggy-coated proboscidean related to the famous elephants and mammoths of pre-war history. They are what’s left of a group of elephants, both the Asian elephant Elephas maximus and the African elephant Loxodonta africana, who had successfully escaped captivity after the bombs dropped and somehow survived long enough to migrate across country and settle in the middle of the United States and are actually theorized to have interbred with one another.
This theory does hold some merit, as while the Asian elephant and the African elephant belong to different genera, they share the same number of chromosomes, thus making hybridization, at least in this respect, theoretically possible, as while Asian and African elephants do not come in contact in the wild, there had been one official incident of cross-breeding between the two species.

Like even if you think that the Brotherhood’s motivations were originally entirely altruistic and even if you ignore the shady stuff that the “good” chapters of the Brotherhood like Appalachia or the Capital Wasteland do … the brotherhood is still wrong, textually.
The whole point of the Brotherhood is that they believe that technology should be removed from the hands of the average wastelander because it could be misused to hurt people. Not so bad on the surface, except they’ve arbitrarily decided that they are the ones who get to control who gets what technology. Okay, but that system works as long as it doesn’t get “corrupted” … which it does, repeatedly, by people like Elder Macnamara and Father Elijah and Elder Maxson, who use the technology that they’re hoarding to exert power over the various people and groups of the wasteland. If an organization gives their leaders immense power and depends on only good people ending up being leaders, it’s a bad organization, fundamentally!
And even quote unquote “good” Brotherhoods like the Lyons’ chapter and the Appalachia brotherhood do bad things, like taking potshots at ghouls and mutants and extorting other factions for supplies, because that much power cannot be wielded for perfect good, it just can’t! That’s why “war never changes” - the battlefields and weapons and armies might change but when two groups with tremendous military power clash like that the result is always the same regardless of the relative goodness of those two groups! It’s thematically important that the Brotherhood is wrong! Fuck!

HUNTERS OF THE WASTES BOSS: THE CENTAUREX
Tumblr media
“A giant bulge of mutated flesh with little regard to anything or anyone. Expect to be split in two if you are caught if you’re lucky enough for such a fate…”
One of the most grotesque creatures that survived the bombing of the institute, also has one of the most disturbing origin stories. Rather than some random monster you would find in the damp darkness of the sewers this monster was once Matthew Anderson and Clarke Blaine, two institute workers who found themselves on the wrong end of the Workplace likeability when they were found poking their noses where they weren’t supposed to be. The resulting board meeting resulted in Matthew and Clark being tried and sentenced to horrors no one should ever go through…
Thus Enter The Centaurex.
Physiology This creature displays the biological features of each of its genetic-benefactors of course, though imperfections in the technology that created it led it to appear asymmetrical in shape and in much of its right form. The upper part of the body is that of a human torso, towards the right however, it displays a monstrously-warped face marked by strange scars upon its nape and crown. The creature itself shares one spinal column despite the two entities that make up much of its upper half. As a result the spinal column itself is bulky and thick and splits off in a Y formation to form the spinal column of each of its upper halves. Built in form much like its namesake the centaurs found west in the Nevada desert, it is a huge, fleshy, lumbering creature with pillar-like arms for legs, is double in size compared to the western centaur, leading them to reach a size vastly taller than an average human, but much bulkier than their centaur cousins. Their coloration is mostly grey or a pale form of yellow, save for a flesh colored patch where their upper body splits into its two halves.
Between the two halves that make up much of its upper bulk, one side tends to be more dominant then the other. This dominant left side, or the more human looking half of the creature appears to be conscious, and leads much of the body in its attacks. While the creature itself is generally described as a Single Living Organism and not two organisms living in one congealed mess of a form, the humanoid torso attached to the entire mass seems to control much of its entire being, though other parts of its body seem just as independently alive as the humanoid on top of the horrific creature. During a Fight it is obvious the human side is highly dominant in a combat scenario often guiding the whole body through its attacks. Because the human half of the centaurex isn’t as mutated as it’s more bizarre looking other half, the human head can also be heard repeating some words and phrases - this however is rare as with all centaurs it is dependent on the extent of the mutations on the head, thusly centaurs who exhibited the characteristic tentacles jutting from the mouth do not speak, or make noise at all, even if they have the means to do so.
Behavior Known to be quite aggressive when it needs to be, but isn’t particularly territorial in a sense as they don’t have a set territory, instead wandering out from sewer system to sewer system to hunt for food or wandering the halls of the bioscience wing of the institute where it is believed to have been held in a secret wing. However, should Centaurex ever feel like it’s being threatened or the area in which it decides to hold itself up is threatened , it will quickly become an aggressive beast which will make sure the threat regrets its decision. Centaurex is aggressive during a fight attacking almost anything that intrudes on its domain or that it deems a prey item, but it also displays a cautious side, preferring to kill prey and rivals alike from a distance whichever way it can.

Hunters of the Wastes Game Mechanic: Boston Military Camps
Tumblr media
A military camp or bivouac is a semi-permanent military base, for the lodging of an army. Camps are erected when a military force travels away from a major installation or fort during training or operations, and often have the form of large campsites.
As the civil war in Boston between the people of the Commonwealth and the Brotherhood of Steel rages on in Hunters of The Wastes, many military camps, mainly Minutemen and BoS affiliated can be found dotted across the landscape. These serve as outposts for each side of the army and are instrumental in the ongoing civil war. Set as unmarked locations, they are normally commanded by a Officer who can be found in his tent, and also have a second-in-command or Quartermaster working who will also serve as a merchant for the player to buy ammunition and healing items.
Interactions: Minutemen Minutemen camps are friendly, and the player can trade with the quartermaster and feel free to utilize his/her numerous crafting stations. Inspecting the tabletop map in the largest tent within the camp may potentially allow the player too gain new map data as well, such as new locations to visit, or the potential for new loot to be found. It is also possible to loot a few chests in the tents without angering any of the locals or risk being caught stealing.
While the Minutemen are friendly toward the player, if the player enters the camp with a wanted level (in-game known as a bounty), the soldiers will warn the player to leave, If the warning is unheeded and the player remains at the camp, the soldiers will attack. Hostility towards the player depends on how high their wanted level is, the higher it is, the more likely for the Soldiers to attack without warning
Interactions: Brotherhood Brotherhood camps, and any civilian camps affiliated with them are hostile towards the player, meaning with or without a bounty, the player will automatically be attacked if spotted near or inside a camp. However Brotherhood camps CAN be liberated in what are known as Outpost Missions. How To Liberate When you liberate a Brotherhood camp, it becomes yours and it gives you a fast travel location, an automated store and unlocks side quests, and allows for the minutemen to take control of the camp, thus aiding in their war effort. To liberate an outpost you must kill all occupying Brotherhood, their Leader and any reinforcements (if the alarm is sounded). Once an outpost is liberated it will replace patrols with Minutemen instead of enemies, in the surrounding area, thus making the location a tad safer for the player
Tips For Smooth Liberation
Be on the lookout for ground patrols patrolling around outposts in vehicles, as they can detect you and alert the outpost to your presence. Similarly, enemies patrolling on foot near an outpost can also spot you and alert the camp. Take out any patrolling soldiers first to avoid unwanted detection.
Take out the people who are going to hurt you the most during your assault. For example, if you plan to snipe everyone at the base, take out the snipers and then the heavy-hitters first. Or if you are going for a head-on assault take out the heavy gunners first, because they will be the most challenging, and then the snipers since they have most powerful weapons. Make sure that if you are sniping, use a silencer to execute enemies without getting detected too easily.
Be on the look out for alarm systems. These will allow the Brotherhood soldiers to call for back up in the likely event that the player assaults their base. First, look for the alarm poles which have large, red loudspeakers near the top of them, note that using binoculars will allow them to show up as megaphone icons. on the mini-map. Next take them out, this should be done by using silent weapons such as guns that support the noise suppressor upgrade or bow’s.
The Player can also gain extra XP and money burning an enemies camp supply cache, this however does NOT affect the players ability to gather resources from other cache boxes scattered across the camp, as the supply cache cant be interacted with outside of burning and collecting whatever materials are left over after the fire burns out.
Players can also perform Animal Kills during outpost missions. If the outpost contains a caged animal, it is a good idea to shoot the door off of the cage (preferably with a silenced weapon) to release the predator, which will then attack the enemies. In some cases, the predator will be able to eliminate all of the enemies presented by itself. Even if it does not, it will create confusion, allowing the player to pick off the soldiers while they try to deal with the rampant animal. If there is a sufficient amount of enemy firepower, however, the animal may die too quickly, making it a wasted effort. In this situation, it may be better to thin their numbers, first. It is better to kill the snipers first before freeing a trapped animal since the sniper rifle is a powerful weapon and the snipers are in positions that are difficult for an animal (especially big ones like a Yao-Guai or Deathclaw) to reach it before being killed or really injured, which may cause the animal to Flee. In addition it would be a good idea to lure any heavy gunner to get close to a cage with an animal, so when you free it, it will be the first one the animal kills.

I cannot stress enough that I fundamentally distrust callout posts, and I will distrust you if you send them to me.
Don't get me wrong: I investigate warnings, and I act on them if they're true and relevant. But callout posts are, on a very fundamental level, not about what people say they're about. There are exceptions, but generally speaking they're made for one or more of the following reasons:
OP didn't like the subject to begin with (often for bigoted reasons), and they wanted a reason, and a following, to justify and validate that.
OP wanted to gain popularity, so they made themselves look like either a victim, a hero, or both.
OP wanted to claim victim status in a private falling-out in order to preserve good standing with their own friends/their community.
OP didn't like what the subject was saying, and wanted to silence them (often for bigoted reasons).
OP genuinely just wants "revenge" on the subject, or otherwise wants to ruin their reputation and have them sent harassment.
Again, there are exceptions: there are "callouts" that just unravel a subject's lies, or point out problems in already public actions. If OP is claiming to have been personally victimized in a legitimately serious way, and especially one that indicates the subject might be a danger to others, I'm definitely more willing to believe it- one obvious example being sexual violence.
But oftentimes, callouts are incredibly personal, misleading, emotionally manipulative, blatantly untrue, or all of the above.
Tumblr media
This person came to me on anon; I have absolutely no way of knowing what their motives are or how trustworthy they are. There is no credibility or accountability here.
And I did read the post. Lo and behold, it's riddled with emotionally manipulative language, false accusations, and the biggest reaches I've ever seen:
"DON'T READ THIS CALLOUT, IT'S SO TRIGGERING TO EVERYONE, JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. But the proof is here if you REALLY don't believe me"
"Proof" is a scarce handful of screenshots taken out of context that contain emotionally evocative language, but do not support the accusations at all.
Some accusations are genuinely just weird logic leaps with no support, others are matters of personal opinion obviously driven by bigoted motives.
OP themselves expresses very publicly that they believe people who are marginalized in the ways the subject are, who speak on that marginalization, should be silenced.
I try to assume good faith here, and I want to believe this anon was just guilt-tripped and manipulated by the post in question. I don't hold any ill will here.
But anon, I want you to ask yourself:
Are the accusations you're making something you have personally investigated and found to be true?
Does this person deserve the harassment and ostracization they will likely receive as a result of your accusations?
Will you hold yourself accountable for the damage you've caused if you're wrong?
And if you're absolutely certain you're right, come off anon and talk to me as a human being; because I can't believe you're ready to be accountable for these accusations if you won't even put your Tumblr blog behind them.
