Friend who passed away on September will have a birthday soon.
I remember when he told me about the rare lynx which was captured on a camera trap in our local jeseniky mountains in 2016. The photo was made at night and flesh illuminated his whole figure as he was a ghost. And nobody seen him since. It was a true spirit for us cause lynxes don’t inhabiting local ridges for a long time.
So this one is for you, my friend🎁. We miss you so much💔.
what can I say? Only, this time of the year was always too harsh for me; so much uncertainty and a self doubt(I think it has to do something with the end of the previous year and not manage everything I wanted..)and dealing with cold weather which would be the same for a next four months. But this year is different, I pulled myself together and created a plan, how to be happy, not procrastinating the first two months and believing in better days. I started skiing again! Which definitely helped me with previously mentioned self doubt🤍. Even our paths are uncertain. Even it’s hard to find our purpose. It’s always great to have a plan.
It’s important for me to take a deep breath on my favourite summits once in a while…..cause it’s the most easiest thing to do when I feel down and lost and captivated in the jungle of society.
Spending time outside with beloved people and feeling alive in discomfort - that’s something I will definitely looking for in the next year; because the previous one was full of these wonderful activities 𖤓⛰︎.
•Thinking about homeland and favourite places which I dare I say, know back and forth… and really enjoy their seasonal looks. Soon the look would be more crispy and frosty though.🍂❄️
•Tiny creatures already planning their feast season; with delicious treats and new plays🎄.
Too many things to do till my feast season start, but I really enjoy the look of our land now, which is full of magic and hidden souls, just inspiring you from the above🌝.
•When I visited one of the longest caves in Czechia and created the ‘Cave diggers’ sketch afterwards, I was really hoping that it has some potential to be officially published and printed.
I had finally some time to continue with notes for the upcoming bigger composition about the story of the Lopichis(which is planned to take an important place in my next book ‘Wolf in a European folklore’ and the wolf myths).
Thanks @hippie_saarloos that i could use your wonderful picture as an inspiration and a study model🐺🩶!
Slowly putting everything together; thinking - am I capable of doing all these things? Managing personal life, home, kid and also be productive in a art career; this invisible sphere full of magic, passion and pain - this unresistible coctail of the eternity. Oh, it is a pure joy and a curse at the same time. Or am I only an oversensitive artist and a tragic woman.
The rain which falls whole week now maybe tells me more…🌧️
What’s your opinion and tips how to manage family and a creative career?
-> last one from my Corsica notes/impressions, finished at home. I’ve never saw a place which strongly reminded me some artwork. Yes, we sometimes feeling deja vu, or we look at something and saying:”Oh, this reminds me this and that… “… but have you ever felt that you actually “see this thing” before? But somewhere else!
When I saw these jagged cliffs of Piana I told myself, that my favourite Max Ernst definitely get inspiration from it. Because one of his best pieces(for me), Europe after the rain, is one of the many views from Calanques de Piana.
