Windows 98の made something of a small name for himself last year with the release of the ‘インターネット’ EP on Virtual Disk Systems – harnessing the 90’s-computer inspired hi-tech beats style of the likes of Blank Banshee and Vaperror to create a short work of music that was an unexpected and pleasant surprise in the vaportrap sub-genre of vaporwave.

Following on from that, the experimentation that was slightly apparent in this release went full fledged, as he remixed the entire EP in a vapornoise style, making one of the most experimental albums of late 2014 in ‘ブルースクリーン (BLUE SCREEN 001)’.

Now the artist is back with a brand new full length album in his debut on Dream Catalogue, with ‘これは魂のために’, clocking in at 47 minutes in length. It is an album that combines the styles of his previous two releases – the futuristic vapor-infused beats of his first EP and the intense experimentalism of his follow up – and mashes them up into one singular whole. Though you will find trap-style rhythms at the albums core, this music goes beyond the realm of typical future beats into something that any fan of avant-garde music should enjoy, while still retaining enough vapor in there to find a worthy home here on Dream Catalogue.
