Thinking about how Cassian calls Lucien "fireling" and that maybe one time Elain overhears it and starts to tease Lucien about it and then it becomes both Cassian and Elains thing to call him that as a running joke and they both become thick as thieves and giggle about it while Lucien's like *sigh* can you guys not. But secretly Lucien doesn't mind Elain calling him that because he thinks her giggle is the cutest sound he's ever heard

I can't even with the way Reylan and Faythe's eyes automatically snap to each other at the yulemas ball, and they hypnotically move towards each other, without even really thinking about it, never breaking eye contact the whole time while everything else around them fades away like they're the only ones to exist. The way they're drawn to each to other. MATES MATES MATES!

Here it is! Part 1 of a new parody series of illustrations themed as Jude in Wonderland! Ever since book 1 of The Folk of the Air, I had always loved the symbolism of Cardan considering Jude the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ of Elfhame.
I thought it would be fun to re-imagine these characters in the roles of the classic tale, but with a TFOTA twist. This first illustration has Alice!Jude meeting Cheshire!Cardan. And yes, Cardan has cat ears! I thought these two paired nicely with this iconic exchange:
… said the Cat: “we’re all mad here.  I’m mad.  You’re mad.” “How do you know I’m mad?“ said Alice. "You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”
I’ve mentioned before how I found Cardan so closely aligned with Cheshire - clever with his words, no alliances, disappears with a grin. This exchange just solidified it for me.
I went HAM on this environment here, which I normally don’t enjoy doing. But by combining it with some Gustav Klimt-inspired textures, I had a little bit more passion fueling my pursuit at creating a Wonderland / Elfhame landscape. I have two more of these illustration planned with this parody crossover; so stay tuned!

I can’t tell you how excited I am that you’re reading AHCTR. Finally more people to share my speculation with!!! 👌🖤
I'm already having so many thoughts but I haven't finished reading yet! But once I do and I don't have to worry about spoilers anymore, I can't wait to hear what some of your speculations are! I'm already wondering who the "light" and "dark" will be. And I'm wondering how Reuben will come back into play after the epilogue of the first book and I'm so worried because Faythe will trust him and she can't now that he's under Marvellas control!!

And I think darkness will be a Dark Fae that's "good" based on Aurialis saying "not all have turned hearts" and "they will bring darkness, and they will bring salvation."
Thinking about Aurialis telling Faythe "You have already befriended knowledge, courage, and wisdom… Resilience, strength, light, and darkness will find you soon, and together with your power, you will see the world righted." And "Only darkness and light remains" and how:
Knowledge is Marlowe
Courage is Jakon
Wisdom is Nik
Resilience is Tauria
Strength is Reylan

Elain: Oh god, it's so dark in here...
Lucien:
Elain: I'm not scared or anything.
Lucien:
Elain: I mean, who's scared of the dark these days? Right, dude? Not me. No, sir.
Lucien: Do you want me to hold your hand, love?
Elain: Yes, please.

Hi do you have book recs where the MC's are royals/kings/queens
I need more of royalty reads, like the bridge kingdom, shadows between us, deal with the elf king
If you enjoyed A Deal with the Elf King then I also definitely recommend A Dance with the Fae Prince also by Elise Kova which is part of the same series and involves a Faery Prince trying to win back his kingdom with some romance and other twists along the way.
Also I'm currently reading An Heir Comes to Rise by C.C Peñaranda and totally recommend it. It's got your classic evil King, a good Prince, a lost Princess, warring Kingdoms, allied Kingdoms that possibly can't be trusted?? Definitely has the royalty bases covered and I love all the main characters. Especially look out for the hot general in book two!
A Curse so Dark and Loney by Brigid Kemmerer I really enjoyed this book. A little underrated gem I think. It starts off in book one as a beauty and the beast retelling but merges into more with lost Princes and divided loyalities. Also bonus points for this series having the most beautiful covers and spines.
These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan Recommend this if you're looking for a light easy read, a little bit predictable but I still really enjoyed it and it has an ending that has left me hanging out with excitement for book two. It features an MC who gets tangled up in the land of Faerie and the games and rivalries between two Faerie Courts, their rulers and two beautiful Princes.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas You've probably already read this but in case you haven't you can't really go past this series in terms of royalty. With a lost Princess, an evil King, a good Prince, a beautiful Faerie Prince, a Witch Queen and so much more it can't be beat. Also if you have read it and enjoyed it then again I recommend An Heir comes to Rise because it has major ToG vibes and similarities while still being it's own thing

Rowaelin Month Day 25
Prompt: Wedding ✨
I feel like they would totally renew their vows in a traditional ceremony in Terrasen and I wanted to do a wedding portrait of our king and queen
Also I am really proud of this one, this is my most time consuming piece yet (almost 20 hours)

Nothing sexier then a fictional man suddenly noticing an injury on their love interest and going unnaturally still, their eyes darkening, their voice hardening with deathly quiet as they say "who did this to you?"
