I don't mind, I really appreciate it! I should revisit, I really love the lemon people and like to think about how their earldom forms as they all develop their own interests, who leaves and who stays, that sort of thing!

Panel three has lemonlamb getting up to dance, swaying back and forth and singing along, with marceling singing, 'I want a kiss like my heart is hitting the ground-', lemonlamb following with, 'Li-i-ike my heart hi-its the ground~'.

Panel four has marceline noticing the singing lemonlamb, opening an eye as she sings, 'I'm holding my breath with a baseball bat-', lemonlamb following with, '... My-y breath wi-ith a base-ball-bat~'. ]

this is really old, i kinda just... forgot about it. i like the idea that as the lemon people learn how to put themselves out there, some will try out concerts. lemonlamb will pursue a life of singing, after encountering marceline's music

I love the idea that Lemongrab 1 trained the Banana Guards (i think it was introduced in the comics?) and that's why all they do is yell and run around and throw stuff, but it also proves that LG1 (and all subsequent LGs), even though he made himself a highly specialized and very cool sword, is most likely very inexperienced in any combat...

( Which is how it is in Mystery Dungeon, where all LG1 did was run around, scream, and try really hard to aim his sound sword AND not get nabbed by the giant that eventually got him anyways. )

I think it'd be so funny for LG1 and kinda LG3 to think of himself as a cool tough battle boy but actually he's really... really bad in a sword battle that isn't against a baby, small animal, or still object.

(also that's why he's got the black pointing up with the black and white lemon on his armor, because formal 'battling' was LG1's wheelhouse, no matter how bad he was at it)

thinkin about the lemongrabs’ thoughts on Finn

I think LG1 really admired Finn and either wanted a champion for his own Earldom or wanted to BE that champion that his mother cared so much for, which is why there are dress-up things for Lemonsweets in the cabinet that resemble Finn's hat, and why he was invited to his fancy dinner in Too Old. He had no clue about Finn as a person, but LG1 didn't seem to care too much about people as people anyways, caring more about them as symbols. Being isolated from literally everyone would do that to you, i guess.

LG2 had very little context for LG1's admiration of Finn, and probably had very little faith in him from Finn's actions in Too Old (and if you count it, his dismissal of their victimization in Explore The Dungeon Because IDK), probably stewing into a deep disappointment in someone he saw first as a person ready to throw themselves into danger, then someone that kinda helped but didn't listen, and then as a childish jerk that came in and escalated things further as he and his people suffered.

LG3 has a mix of these feelings, mellowing out into an acknowledgement of his abilities but a lack of expectations of Finn. LG2's feelings of disappointment kinda bubbled up again during Finn's dismissal of his suicidal ideation when confronting Matthew, but otherwise he feels very... not much, about him. A blankish slate, with odd echoes. Probably a good bedrock for being friends, though, if they met up again
