So, I heard you’ve been wondering what are the 3000 rules of Gusu Lan Sect?
See that wall? It’s the Lan Sect’s Wall of Discipline that appeared for 2 seconds in MDZS Episode 2. Some very diligent soul on Weibo actually went to read the texts carved on that Wall. Probably with a magnifying glass. No joke. Like, seriously, no joke.
Here goes all the rules that she managed to read out - translated hopefully not horrendously by Tumblr user my-otp-list.
“Do not kill within Cloud Recesses
Do not fight without permission
Do not commit acts of promiscuity
Do not go out at night
Do not make noise
Do not walk too fast
Do not laugh for no reason
Do not sit with a disgraceful pose
Do not eat more than 3 bowls (Translator’s note: LOL)
Be a filial child
Organise work properly
Diligence is the root
Morality is the priority
Harmony is the value
Learning comes first
Do not take your own words lightly
Do not act impulsively
Do not give up on learning

I’m thinking about a Jiang Cheng wedding waaay post-canon and with Yunmeng bro reconciliation:
Wei Wuxian walks into the hall wearing Jiang Sect robes for the first time in years, nervous and a little shaky and trying very, very hard not to Emote too loudly over the profundity of this whole thing
To everyone’s shock, especially his own, Jiang Cheng abruptly bursts into tears
Wei Wuxian freezes mid-step
“OH FUCK JIANG CHENG I’M SO SORRY I’LL GO CHANGE”
“DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE YOU ASSHOLE”
Jiang Cheng is trying to cover his face with his hands because tHeY aRe iN pUbLiC
Wei Wuxian has no idea what to do and he’s torn between panicking (oh gods either my brother or his spouse are going to kill me permanently, we did not learn how to use our words like motherfucking adults just to lose everything again), laughing (look, humiliating your sibling in public is never not funny), and horror (I’M GOING TO RUIN HIS DAY THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SECOND ONLY TO SHIJIE’S WEDDING IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF CULTIVATION WEDDINGS), and all he can think to do is kind of just…hugging Jiang Cheng’s head to his chest and babbling panicked nonsense
Jiang Cheng struggles to stop crying by sheer force of will, hit Wei Wuxian for dARING TO MAKE HIM FEEL SOFT, and wriggle away in crippling shame all at once
Which makes things worse
Lan Sizhui tries and fails to stop Jin Ling from storming over while yelling “WEI WUXIAN HOW DARE YOU MAKE MY UNCLE CRY”
(If anyone in Lotus Pier and possibly in a five-li radius hadn’t noticed what was happening, well, they know now)
Because sometimes the only way to win if flat-out denial isn’t working is to throw shame at other people, Jiang Cheng finally gets his brother’s tentacle arms away from his head and hisses, “Am I not allowed to be happy on my own wedding?”
(Everyone quickly pretends to find the wall decorations Very Fascinating)
Wei Wuxian immediately gets the underlying implications of what Jiang Cheng said and his already barely-reined-in heart just can’t handle it anymore
“SHIDIIIII”
“FUCK YOU and also since when did you become half octopus, stop grabbing at me - “
No one sees Nie Huaisang slip silently away so that he can laugh himself sick
