make no mistake: banning Jews from the dyke march is not about support for palestine. it’s about holding jews globally accountable for the actions of israel. which is antisemitic.
banning queer jews from safe queer spaces is antisemitic.
deciding whether a jew is “good” or “bad” based on interrogation about zionism is antisemitic.
leftists need to stop being f*#%ing antisemitic.

Not only did it happen in his home city; a 14-year-old girl from his school was killed.
There are no words.
I've seen a few anons today that are bashing harry for not playing a full set on putting on a fun show last night and i know they're probably just trolls, but I guess there's a lot of this all over twitter right now, and it's honestly just so disheartening to see that kind of incredibly insensitive behavior.
Hiiiii anon love 💖💖💖 Honestly, don’t pay these heartless and insensitive people any mind. This world is fucked up already as it is without having to add their asshole and ignorant opinions to it. What happened yesterday is one of the too many tragedies that are going on in the world and it will leave a scar for sure. To have something like that happen in your home is even more traumatising and scaring, so what Harry did was was extremely thoughtful and lovely and mindful. He got up on that stage to not disappoint the fans who showed up to see him, though he could have easily cancelled the show and flown home to his family because honestly, he probably just wanted a hug from them in that moment. And for people to even suggest that he had to do more and he had to do this and that is so inconsiderate and mean and it doesn’t deserve a second more of my attention tbh. People need to learn how to live in the world, need to learn some compassion and basic human decency and need to let others mourn and react to tragedies the way they feel and need to. Sorry for the rant, love! I’m sending you all the love, don’t pay attention to these freaking trolls! Focus on all the loving and caring people who are sharing love and hugs during these times 💕💕💕💕💕

Divide and rule.
By accident,or by design, that’s what’s happening round here at the moment. Wouldn’t it be great if we could express our opinions without tearing apart people who have different opinions? If we could stop taking an aggressive and angry tone with people who mean well, but say things we consider less intelligent or worldly than our own superior opinions? Because opinions are all any of us have if we’re honest. There are facts driving everything that we’re simply not party to. Honest discussion is interesting. I don’t want a dash full of identikit opinions because people are too scared to speak up, or to see people disappear because they’re sad or confused and they feel those things aren’t tolerated. Yes, you can say what you like on your own blog. If you want to be an asshole, be an asshole and people can unfollow you if they don’t like it, but maybe we’d have a less exhausted, less toxic, less miserable fandom if you directed your energy away from attacking people who like the same things you do.
I love Harry. Always have, always will. He’s a good person. I don’t believe he has his freedom. I really don’t like the Harry brand strategy. I’m emotional about all the boys, so that upsets me. I’m becoming disengaged and I think I’m being manipulated into that. I think people are winning who I don’t want to win. I’d like to turn to the fandom to regain my strength and perspective so I can carry on supporting the boys in the way I’d like to, because I really do think they need us. That’s becoming harder and harder to do though, because the fandom is falling apart. So maybe we could try treating each other with a bit more respect and kindness, because if we don’t, all we’ll have left is a few really thick skinned, stubborn people shouting at each other about how right they are. At our best, we’re powerful and amazing and revolutionary. At our worst, we’re nothing. Divide and rule.

Helloooo sweet anon love 💖💖💖💖 Ok first of all, don’t apologise for messaging me, it’s totally OK! You didn’t unload anything on me, I love talking to you guys 💕 To answer your question, I understand how you feel and I get it, I truly do. We have formed this deep and wonderful connection with someone we don’t really know, and it’s so incredible to think you see something of yourself in them, to think that you can find in them the representation and the support you need. But the thing that it’s important to always keep in mind is that no matter how many interviews we get, no matter how many videos and performances we watch, we’ll never truly know these people. And it’s not fair to them, and it’s not fair to YOU in the first place, to build a persona of them, to idealise them and paint them in a certain way and then be disappointed when they do or say something that shatters that picture. And I mean, I definitely understand being disappointed in things and people, I’ve had my fair share of let downs, but you can’t let it consume you, you know? If you detach yourself from famous people it’s easier to just enjoy them for the good and amazing feelings they give you, and not resent them for things you thought were the truth. Also, as much as he uses gender neutral terms and is pretty careful with words, it’s not the first time he’s talked about dating women and referred to women when talking about his relationships. It’s pretty clear that straight or not, he’s had relationships with women. That doesn’t change how he is, that doesn’t take absolutely anything away from the beautiful, compassionate, incredible, talented person he is. That’s why I try to say over and over again to keep his personal life and his work life separated like he does, because you’ll always find a friend of him you don’t like, a girlfriend you can’t stand, a person he associates with that you hate, and it’s gonna make you continuously sad and disappointed, you know? Harry is truly beautiful, he’s flawed and imperfect like everyone else, he’s just 23 yo, I feel like sometimes we forget that, he still has so much to learn and so much growing up to do, but I think he’s doing pretty great all things considered. My advice for you, if I can give you one, is to take a step back, not to have these people’s lives influence your own life so much. Enjoy the music, the pics, the funny skit, and don’t let the rest affect you. If you can’t separate the two things, it’s gonna be difficult to do that. Sending all the love and hugs to you, sweetheart 💖💖💖💖💖💖

I just want to add to what Brie said here, because I too have been really upset about this all day.
I think the thing that bothers me most is how easy this article/interview makes it all sound. Like “oh yeah, I had an eating disorder, but then I went home and ate some of my mom’s cooking and I was fine” or “oh yeah, my anxiety is gone now that I’m not in 1D. I’m perfectly normal.”
Because the thing is, anxiety is NOT easy. Eating disorders DON’T get better simply by going home to eat your mother’s cooking (and yes, if you don’t eat for days simply because you want control, that’s an eating disorder).
Anxiety is painful. It’s a constant struggle. It’s something you live with for your entire life. People who suffer from mental illness have real, physiological differences in how their brains work than the average population. That’s not something that just disappears one day. It’s a life-long issue. Sometimes you can control it better than other times. Some people have milder cases than other people. But real anxiety disorders aren’t something that pop up once and disappear forever once you remove yourself from a tough situation.
When you have anxiety, you are constantly working on yourself, constantly challenging yourself to face your triggers, constantly employing coping mechanisms to get through every day. And yes, there are good days. There are good weeks. But then there are really shitty days where you wake up and everything just feels off and the entire day is a mess. It’s not linear, it’s not logical, and it’s not fair. Anxiety sucks. There’s nothing simple or understandable about it.
The WORST thing you can do for anxiety is avoid your triggers or withdraw from society. The article frames Zayn’s withdrawal from society as his cure. Whether he actually believes that isn’t clear, but that idea -- the complete withdrawal from the world -- will just make it that much harder for you to return to normal life. I know because I’ve been through it. I went through a phase where I couldn’t leave my bedroom, where I couldn’t leave my house even to go into the backyard. Your fears and anxiety grow the more you avoid or ignore it. You start to believe you are only ok because you aren’t in the situation that made you anxious, and then you start to believe you won’t be ok unless you continue to withdraw.
The only way you can learn to live with anxiety is to learn how to change your lifestyle and build your mental toolkit to help you cope. It takes therapy with a trained mental health professional. For some people, it takes medication. Exercise and a healthy diet are also essential.
But most of all, you need to get help. You can’t expect anxiety to disappear. You can’t expect an eating disorder to just disappear. There will never be a “poof! It’s gone!” moment unless you do get help.
I’m concerned that this article will make people believe that if they’re anxious, all they have to do is live like a hermit for a bit and have some of their mom’s cooking and then they’ll feel better. I’m more worried that people who DON’T have anxiety will read this and become that much less understanding when someone they know or love goes through anxiety and doesn’t just wake up one day magically cured of it.
I’m lucky to have friends who are supportive of me. I’m lucky to have people who will sit by my side while I panic and wait for me to get through it without complaining. I’m lucky that they understand that sometimes I cancel on them because I’m having a hard day and just can’t bring myself to do whatever we had planned. But if this article is your only basis for understanding what anxiety is like, how could you understand? How could you be a supportive friend if you think anxiety is easy, or temporary, or simple to fix?
Anyway, if you are struggling, feel free to reach out to me at any time. And please, please seek professional help. It is the best thing you can do for yourself if you are in a situation like this.
The Sunday Times article on Zayn that just came out makes me so fucking angry in the way it talks about anxiety disorders (which I have), and eating disorders (which I don’t have - so I’ll refrain from expressing my opinion on it). It’s so flippant and makes it sound like anxiety is just something you can get over and be 100% cured. They don’t even bother making a editors note to say, “if you’re suffering from mental illness or an ED please call or find resources here…” I’m probably making a bigger deal out of it than I need to, but mental illness and how it’s portrayed in media and for the masses is super important to me.
To be clear, I’m not blaming Zayn as with print media, you never know exactly what was said sometimes. I’m blaming the article itself and whoever edited it, and how irresponsible it is to frame anxiety disorders in such a casual light.
I just hope anyone who reads that knows that it’s okay if you don’t just “get over” your anxiety. It’s okay if you are doing well with recovery, and have a bad day or week or month. That it’s an ongoing non-linear process that a lot of people don’t understand, but you’re not alone in how you feel. It’s okay to seek help, but also okay if seeking help scares the absolute crap out of you. I just…I don’t know what else to say, but I just had to get this out.

Physically attacks his girlfriend in an airport and when he defends her, he gets arrested

If you believe in Larry, that’s your right as a human being, but that NEVER gives you a right to physically attack ANYONE. Instead of chatting amongst yourselves about whatever stunt you believe is going on today, maybe take some time to tell your followers that violence and intimidation is never acceptable.
This has gone way too far, and now one of your faves has been arrested. Nice job making the entire fandom look terrible. If I was Louis, I would want nothing to do with “fans” for a very long time.

Jews in the United States, please call the offices of the Jewish Federations of North America in DC and ask them to issue a public statement condemning Trump’s executive order on refugees.
A denunciation of the executive order from the JFNA (created from a merger of the United Jewish Appeal and the Council of Jewish Federations in 1999) would be of great symbolic importance, a strong message to Trump and the world that American Jews stand with refugees and immigrants.
Between the hours of 9am and 5pm EST, the number to call is 202-785-5900. Politely explain the reason for your call, and when requested give them your name and the city you live in. Remind them that one of their top priorities as an organization is to assist refugees.
If you are unable to reach them during these hours, you can email William Daroff, Senior Vice President for Public Policy at [email protected] and Stephan Kline, Associate Vice President for Public Policy at [email protected]. Tell them who you are, what city you are writing from, request that they issue a public statement condemning the executive order.
Be sure to let family and friends know to do the same.
Remember the St. Louis!

I’ve never seen any Tumblr user who isn’t Jewish reblog things like this. Just saying.
i’ve seen an appalling amount of news stories regarding the rise in anti-semitic hate crime and threats over the past few months, yet here on tumblr i follow TWO non-jews who blog about it regularly, almost always reblogged from myself, and one who blogs about it sporadically. not sure why goyim seem to think they can defeat nazis when they are willfully ignorant about a primary target of nazis.
there have been 48 bomb threats to jewish community centers across the country over the past two weeks and the only blogs i saw posting about it were jewish bloggers. according to the fbi, in 2015, over HALF of religious-based hate crimes were anti-jewish, yet this stat has only been brought to my attention by other jews. a man drove cross-country to my hometown with an explosive compound to “desecrate” my temple this summer. this is real, it’s happening, and it always has been.
raising awareness is the easiest thing to do in the age of social media and instant information, so goyim, it’s time to step it tf up.
