I had a thought. I had a though and I’m gonna share it and it’s your problem now! So Mermista seems to turn into a mermaid every time she’s in water, right? (No, seriously, right? It’s been a hot second since I’ve rewatched the show but regardless, she can turn into a mermaid so this probably still applies.) This would probably cause her to have a big bathtub, right? So her having this huge, spacious bathtub that’s honestly more the size of a hot tub and Sea Hawk would probably get “bathing with bae” rights at some point. When he does, Mermista fully expects him to make use of this huge ass bathtub but he doesn’t. Instead he just stays right beside her as soon as he realizes he can do that without her feeling uncomfortable. He offers to wash her hair and get the places she can’t reach. He does it all with these soft loving touches and stays right beside her even when he’s washing himself because he just can’t fathom not being beside her when he has the chance too.
