Hi! Do you know the title of a fic in which JK suffered from a brain injury and couldn’t remember his relationship with JM. so i read A LOT of fics this year and i wanted to share them with y’all. there were so many good ones from all different pairings and i hope this helps you find some gems. pls enjoy!!

if only to say you're mine by hammersandstrings -- namkook fake relationship au that is seriously wholesome and sweet. i love it 

bad boys don't fall in love by strangedesires -- OK AHEM this is the dirty dancing au i have been waiting for my whole life. 50k words of namkook tension and sweetness and i love it

Sunflower by jonghyunslisterine -- wow. ok this one is a yoonmin arranged marriage au but also a/b/o but also mob au?? and it all comes together so beautifully. it’s on the longer side and has heavy stuff but the relationship at its core is so lovely and convincing

and behind your eyes, the sea by jonghyunslisterine -- jonghyunlisterine is just so freaking prolific and never disappoints. this is a yoonmin little mermaid au that made my heart hurt in a good way

when i'm down on my knees, you're how i pray by jonghyunslisterine --ok this one rlly took me a while to recover from it was beautiful. i don’t know how to describe the concept in the way that does it justice tho so check out the summary and tags!

Heart Brew Love by jonghyunslisterine -- yoonmin witch and werewolf au!! 

everything is cherries on top by jonghyunslisterine -- yoongi joins a volleyball club and meets jimin and jungkook and things progress from there it’s v dirty and good ! 

the moon keeps calling out to me, but i only ever hear your name by fatal (cumrich) -- jikook a/b/o au! recc-ed this one in my last jikook list but it def deserved the second mention

Sweet Music Playing in the Dark by GinForInk -- uhhh this is a must-read. a/b/o namkook au that has such incredible relationship dynamics it’s honestly masterful. 

In Yggdrasil's Roots by GinForInk -- this is in the same universe as Kepler and Gliese by the same writer, it’s yoonseok and it is just so good. GinForInk has such a way of writing characters with so much depth and personality and i love the universe and worldbuilding so much. 

she said she can do it right by brightlight -- taegi genderbend au! it’s so sweet. 

this is my second date by misspamela -- oof this is such a creative concept! basically seokmin hook up in a hotel room and it’s supposed to be a one-off thing but they end up getting snowed in and things go from there, it’s cuteee

your taste is so sweet on my lips by tteokie -- this was technically begun in 2017 but completed in 2019, it’s a taegiseok(?) bakery au full of sweetness

of love and its simplicity by atechamcham -- taekook!! magic au!! i love it!!

number one with a bullet by aborescent -- this is the 2seok sequel to sugar, we're going down swinging by the same writer, both of them are sherlock aus!! this one features jin as mycroft which is so fitting. it’s honestly so gooddd i love how each character is written

years since you've been here by ameliabedelias -- childhood friends namkook au that is just so gorgeous and sweet. 

oh no, he's hot by goldenhearts -- jikook accidental hookup au

bunny ears by goldenhearts -- SDKLFHSGO jk accidentally turns himself into a rabbit, seokjin rescues him. i love it.

The Breadth of an Eyelash by TrappingLightningBugs -- omg. so seokjin is a superhero and jungkook is a rookie hero and it’s so cute!

Blink by dix -- this is a yoonkook that i got super invested in. basically a college au where jungkook still believes he’s straight but slowly learns otherwise

In Lust We Trust by orphan_account -- jimin serves as sort of a mentor for jungkook who is a photographer and . there’s so much tension it’s so good

I'd recommend a fic called 12 Weeks by Lisforlove! It's cute and quirky and the burn and character development is so good. Highly recommend. Summary: Jungkook goes to live with his childhood friend Jimin for a summer and ends up falling in love with his strange and enticing roommate Taehyung. It only takes 12 weeks. One of my faves! Highly recommend.

here are some of my all-time favorite taekook fics that I discovered in 2019!! there were a ton so i decided to narrow it down to my 5 favorites. 

is it cool that i said all that? by falcine -- ok. this one is SO GOOD. basically jungkook is a lacrosse bro while taehyung is a lacrosse bro too but also an art student but jungkook doesn’t KNOW that he’s an art student and when he realizes he loses it. it’s so good. 

everything is sound by sharpa -- cute cute cute cute. lots of pining and crushes and it’s just rlly cuteeee

do you think you’ll leave me after all? by brightlight -- post-breakup au SPOILER it ends happily:) i don’t usually love like sad breakup stories but i love this one sm

MMATB? by fitzgarbage -- “marry me at taco bell?” basically taekook fake engagement so they can get married at taco bell and you can guess what happens next. it’s so good and so funny it makes me smile a lot

I wanted to recap all of my favorite fics that came out this year! It was really hard to choose because I honestly love everything that I’ve bookmarked but here are the ones that made the cut. Keep in mind that these are all memberxmember ships that include various pairings (although certainly some more than others), so if that isn’t your thing look elsewhere!

we've got chemistree by cygnus (sunsprite) -- truly a masterpiece. this is a Jikook fake dating au and I love so many things about it, from the characterization to the sense of humor throughout. I’ve reread this several times and loved it each time

twenty-four by fruitily -- yoonkook are handcuffed together for a social experiment. The author does such a wonderful job of slowly revealing the backstory throughout and it’s just altogether very solid

wait a little bit (i'm on my way home) by sirradel -- SO GOOD. seriously so so good. this fic made me feel so many things

morning after by TheHalesNyx -- the title is a p good summary, this is an adorable yoonkook oneshot and I love it so much

everybody’s watching him, but he’s looking at you by jonghyunslisterine -- WOWW ok. even though this is on the shorter side it is such a good fic, basically Jungkook is a bouncer and Jimin is a stripper and tries to get Jungkook to notice him pls read it.

Precisely When Somebody Shows You to the Ocean by sinkingmyships -- oh wow. this was a journey. yoonjin with a healthy amount of angst and love

with a bang (stunted plants can bloom) by fruitily -- oof...this fic man...I love Jungkook working in a flower shop, this is truly yoonkook at its finest

inside a sinking feeling by CaptainButts -- I’m literally always here for jinkook and this did not disappoint. Jungkook is part of a group that steals art

The Many 'The's Before The End by loindexter -- oh my...this fic is truly wonderful. I usually don’t like canon compliant fics but I loved this one so much

Sweet Like Silicon by GinForInk -- THIS FIC. WOW. ok I could not recommend this one more I love everything written by GinForInk but this one is like...up there with my all time faves it’s wonderful.

harvest moon, recall your youth by blackranger (robpatFF) -- taegi get drunk married in Las Vegas, after this I read everything by blackranger and I would recommend you do so as well. 

Oxbow by sinkingmyships -- this is yoonjin based on Avatar which I am not familiar with, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. 

one strange night in one strange city by134340jjks -- wowwwww I love jungseok and this is some quality stuff

Unbelievable by mllevangogh -- there is not enough quality namjin out there so this is very much appreciated

Swamp Magic by GinForInk -- I don’t think this was necessarily posted in 2018 but the most recent updates are QUALITY, honestly the entire thing is quality so if you have not yet read it I would suggest you do so. 

golden hour by whomstisthis -- wow. this is namkook where Namjoon is home from college and JK lives across the street

Cowboys Love Horses by GinForInk -- u know how i said I love GinForInk WELL. this is also an amazing story that I would definitely recommend. 

i guess i want too much byjonghyunslisterine -- I have too many for August but I couldn’t not rec this one. Jimin gets caught up with Jungkook and Yoongi who are kinda-but-not-really brothers

A Present for the Present by loindexter -- basically Yoongi has a v significant response to receiving gifts and Seokjin continues giving him gifts

you took my hand out from the rain by jonghyunslisterine -- Jungkook is a soldier and Yoongi is the king

October

Fake Sugar by minverse -- i think this is THE fic of 2018. THE fic. minverse has such a wonderful sense of humor and writes characters so poignantly you feel like they right in front of you. This is truly a must-read.

the wishes that are in our eyes by misspamela -- basically babies appear in front of Taehyung when he is feeling strong emotions, lots of things ensue

you love me better than i've known before by jonghyunslisterine -- this is a sequel so I would recommend reading the first part, but it was really really good and I was happy to get more closure!
