I've been wanting to design WOH jewelry ever since I finished the show, but it took some brainstorming since there weren't a lot of obvious motifs.
The white fans are for WKX for obvious reasons. I actually wanted to find walnut charms to accent the piece since he was constantly eating walnuts in the book, but interestingly enough, walnut charms are hard to find. Instead I went with red crystals for his Ghost Valley robes and as a reminder that his fan is a weapon.
ZZS was a bit more difficult, but in the end I went with the shape of his drinking gourd. I picked the navy blue and the sea foam green because they were the color of some of my favorite hanfus ZZS wore.
Anyway, check them out at my Etsy!

I made these earrings to remind me of Chen Qing, but them I though they'd look cute as a phone charm as well!

Xie Lian took significantly longer to figure out because his motifs are less obvious than Hua Cheng. I settled on his white flowers, simple and elegant.

Lunar New Year is my favorite holiday! I won't be able to celebrate it in Asia for the first time in 4 years because of the pandemic, but at least I can bring a little bit of luck around with me.

Earring for Hua Cheng were really easy to design. He has so many motifs, I just kind of closed my eyes and picked my favorite. I’m thinking about designing something with an umbrella, but I’m still figuring that out

Made some earrings for Valentines day! They remind me of my lolita days, though I was always more of a egl fan than a sweet lolita fan

After some experimenting, I decided to make Nie Huaisang earrings instead of Nie Clan earrings. The black and white one to represent the fans he hides behind. I also decided to make the green ones since that’s the Nie Clan color even though they usually wear a darker olive tone. The result ended up looking really cool and resembled jade.

I picked up jewelry making as a pandemic hobby and I keep making The Untamed themed earrings because I can’t let the show go, but also the whole aesthetic of the show is an inspirational.
The Lan, Jin, and Kiang Clan were easy enough. Still trying to figure out a design for the Wen and Nie Clan. I might just make something for Nie Huaisang and his fans instead because the motif for the Nie Clan of “the head of a beast” and I don’t know what to do with that.
Anyway, check them out on my Etsy! Link in the reblog and on my page!
(btw, I sold out of the WangXian bunnies, but I should be restocking them soon!)

Just then, a bright light white as day exploded into the blackened night.
That light was lanterns.
Like thousands upon millions of fish swimming through gorges to the sea, countless lanterns slowly floated up.
They shimmered and gleamed in the dark night, radiant and brilliant, like floating souls of a magnificent dream, exceedingly beautiful, brightening the blackened mortal realm. In the face of such a striking sight, none could speak. All held their breaths, their words broken.
Xie Lian watched that sky full of lanterns in dumbfounded awe. It was like his breathing had stopped and nothing could be heard, and he remained dazed for a good while.
~TGCF Ch 91 (translated by Suika & Rynn)
This took forever and I used so much yellow. I never want to paint another lantern again lol

One of my favorite little details about TGCF is that fact that HC turns all powerful beings into daruma dolls because they’re being annoying and XL just rolls with it and tucks them into his sleeve
Green - Qi Rong
Blue - Ling Wen
Orange - Lang Qianqiu (the book said he had stripes like a tiger so I just went with it)
Purple - Quan Yizhen (I ran out of colors. Also, he looks so confused because he’s always 10 chapters behind in the plot when he appears in the story)
Pot in the back - Ban Yue

"After several steps, Guo Changcheng looked back.
The professor hadn't left. He stood in place, took off his glasses and wiped them inattentively, his eyes fixated on Zhao Yunlan's back. His gaze was mysterious and sombre; the expression he wore was one mixed with nostalgia, restraint, and adoration...but along with a touch of utmost sorrow
Shen Wei's figure stood lonesome and wretched in the long, long corridor.
Guo Changcheng strangely felt as if Shen Wei must have waited for centuries just like that."
- Guardian, Ch. 5, translated by Rainbowse7en
I was inspired by the lonely vibes that Shen Wei consistantly gave off. He seemed the type to brood in the moonlight.

I just needed to draw one of my favorite scenes from Guardian. I almost cried laughing at how Shen Wei basically attacked Zhao Yunlan with a tissue. That married life, amirite?
