so now he was on your bed, beside the desk you were working at and he has been there ever since he came over 1 hour ago so he was bored watching you do your homework

“hey y/n! why bother inviting me when all you’re gonna do is homework!”

unfortunately, your noise cancelling headphones prevented you from hearing his whine and this made minho frustrated

annoyed by the lack of attention, minho stood up and used his slender fingers to grasp your chin, forcing you to look up at him

finally, all your attention was on him.

your family invited him over to have dinner, wanting to know their child’s boyfriend better

the two of you sat together at the dinner table, your parents opposite

expecting him to move away, you continued eating your dinner, keeping in the same position

when the conversation changbin had with your parents ended, you were surprised to see his knee still touching yours

upon seeing your surprised face, the corners of his lips turned upwards, a smirk gracing his handsome face lightly

when he hugs you, his large hands wrap around your waist

“hyunjin!” you called out, waving frantically, beckoning him to come over to you

you have not seen hyunjin in a long time due to his world tour but finally, he was back home

the two of you were in his room watching a movie and eating popcorn but the movie was long forgotten as you guys were more engrossed in having a conversation

jokes were cracked and throughout your 10 over years of friendship with han, never have you noticed how dashing he looked when he laughed

you showed him a funny picture of hyunjin and hyunjin was jisung’s humour.

he threw his head back while pointing at the photo, his laughter filling up the room

how have you never noticed the small vein that traced his long and slender neck and that melodious laughter of his?

hihi! ok this might be a really dumb question, but i read your recent post, the “reverse icks” with skz (very cute btw!) and i’m just wondering what reverse icks means? is that a new term that gen z made that i don’t know? i’m literally only 18 but i seem to be very behind with slang nowadays 😭💀

helloo don’t worry you aren’t old yet i hope 🤞 and definitely not dumb. i think this term is pretty new???? icks is like a slang used to describe a feeling of disgust? ahh idk how to put it like “a shiver down your spine” in a gross way? maybe like an action which makes you lose all feelings for a guy. so “reverse ick” is the opposite (basically means an action which makes you like the person) hope this makes sense!

(heavily inspired by weightlifting fairy kim bokjoo but with a twist at the end)

◡̈ genre: fluff, asking someone out, crushes, amusement park romance, frenemies to lovers, sports college, jisung is a swimmer and reader is a weightlifter

◡̈ warnings: mentions of food, fireworks, scary rides, jealous jisung, super cheesy

◡̈ summary: han jisung has a limited time to make you fall for him and the amusement park may just do the trick.

(disclaimer: i do not own the storyline for this as the plot belongs to the creators of the drama; weightlifting fairy kim bokjoo. i just thought jisung’s character would fit junhyung very well. also, kind of unedited so tell me if there are any mistakes.)

“you invited them?” jisung whisper-shouted, nudging you slightly.

“it’s suppose to be a date!” he added, annoyance lacing his voice when he saw 3 people running towards you both — jisung’s swimming best friend, hyunjin and your two weightlifting friends, sana and jeongyeon. their squeals made jisung sigh. this was not what he expected. he didn’t expect your big heart to invite your friends and his friend over to crash your amusement park date. this date was important. it was a chance for him to win your heart after confessing to you last night. you weren’t sure what your feelings were towards him so he wanted to try his best to woo you. he pinched the bridge of the nose, eyebrows furrowing in the process as he thought about how he was going to shake them off.

“let’s buy some headbands! it’s a must when we go to amusement parks!” sana cheered, pulling yours and jeongyeon’s hand, dragging you two to the store, the 2 boys trailing at the back.

“wear this one, jisung!” hyunjin said ecstatically, plopping a ‘devil’ headband on jisung’s head.

“at least pick something better for me, this is so ugly! i’m not so childish,” jisung replied, rolling his eyes while taking off his headband. used to his friend’s usual cold demeanour, hyunjin pouted, placing the headband on his head instead. you looked at the wide variety of headbands all spread out in front of you and your eyes caught an ‘angel’ headband, immediately choosing to wear it.

“y/n, we look so cute together! i’m a devil and you’re an angel, we look like a couple!” hyunjin jumped excitedly, whipping his phone out taking multiple pictures of the two of you wearing matching headbands. jisung’s eye twitched at the sight of you two being close together. his plan to make you fall for him during this trip was slowly falling through and he had to stop it from going downhill at once.

“actually, i want the devil headband. give it back, it’s mine!” jisung muttered, snatching the headband off hyunjin’s head and placing it on his. hyunjin muttered under his breath — something along the lines of jisung being unable to make up his mind — as he picked up a frog headband and wore it, his usual smile of glee back on his face.

“let’s try that!” you pointed to the scary looking attraction. screams of terror emitting from the people riding that ride caused a shiver down jisung’s spine. to be honest, he was actually really afraid of heights — to be more specific; tall, violent amusement park attractions — just like the one you were currently pointing at.

“i don’t like that one, it looks so scary! i want to go on the merry-go-round to take good selfies instead,” sana commented. “sounds good, i’ll join you!” jeongyeon and hyunjin added, already linking arms and turning to head towards that attraction.

this is the only time we can actually be alone together! jisung thought, gears turning in his head. as much as he despised thrilling rides like this, he desperately wanted to spend time with you alone. wiping the stray bead of cold sweat from his forehead (from the nervousness), he put on his best ‘confident and cocky’ face (as hyunjin liked to put it) and said “i’ll go with you then, y/n.”

“aren’t you scared of heights? you were about to barf-” hyunjin quipped, only to be interrupted.

“what? since when? i came to this amusement park to ride that ride! i love it so much,” jisung shoved hyunjin, pushing him towards the direction of the merry-go-round. “let’s split up now and meet up in 30 minutes, okay? now shoo!” he waved his hands, mimicking the ‘shooing a fly away’ action.

the ride ended with a very messy haired and red faced jisung, his hands grabbing yours tightly and you could see the veins sticking out from his neck and the side of his forehead. his disheveled hair looked soft and fluffy, making your hands itch to stroke and play with it.

i guess his plan to make you fall for him is really working quite well.

“i feel so nauseous right now. go sit down, i’ll buy something for us to eat and drink,” he said pushing you down onto a seat and walking towards the food stands. hot dog... churros... cola... that’s when it hit him.

SHARE A DRINK WITH TWO STRAWS WITH HIM (him as in your potential boyfriend)

he recalled that secret bucket list you wrote he read on accident. it was your fault for putting this list in your wallet and dropping it! if it weren’t for your clumsiness and butter fingers, jisung would have never been able to read your top-secret-confidential and embarrassing list that a university student shouldn’t really have. jisung was glad he was able to read it without you knowing — he thought of it as his key to success — more like the key to your heart.

“hi, can i get 2 churros and a cup of soda with two straws please?” he asked enthusiastically.

excitedly, he brought the goodies to where the two of you were sitting, his eyes softening when he stared lovingly at the way your eyes lit up at the food spread in front of you. as you leaned in to take a sip of the soda with your straw, jisung immediately leaned in and drank from his straw. stunned, you looked up, his face just mere centimetres away from you. your eyes locked and your heartbeat started to quicken and so did his. if the amusement park was empty, you were affirmative jisung can hear the hard thumps of your racing heart.

“why? did i make your heart flutter?” jisung smirked, his sultry voice sending butterflies to your stomach. his right eyebrow cocked up and he scoffed. “just say you like me already,” he joked, though there was a hint of sincerity in his voice.

“what are you talking about? you’re crazy! i was just startled because you shoved in without a warning!” you argued, fighting back the urge to blush and smile. just then, your phone rang; an incoming call from sana.

“where are you? the fireworks are about to start! come to the square right now!” sana and jeongyeon chimed together.

by the time you two reached the square, the fireworks had already begun. “it’s so pretty!” you gasped, staring up towards the sky as the vivid colours lit up the dark night sky.

“i agree, so pretty,” jisung whispered to himself but instead of looking up at the beautiful night sky, his eyes couldn’t tear away from your awe-struck face. man, was he whipped.

noticing your slight shiver, he wrapped his big warm hand around your cold ones, then tucked your joined hands into the pocket of his coat, still not separating your locked fingers. this action was also inspired by your bucket list.

noticing your stare directed towards him, jisung said “it’s cold. use me to your advantage. what’s wrong? is your heart fluttering again?”

your bashful red flushed face boosted his confidence as he added on jokingly, “will you need emergency cardiac care soon or what? i know you are enjoying yourself very much, but your safety comes first. i’m worrying about you.”

snatching your hand back due to your flustered state, you took out your phone and started snapping pictures of the stunning night sky. jisung too, took out his phone and started doing the same but he managed to sneak some photos of you. this would be my new wallpaper, he thought, smiling to himself. noticing your empty hand, he swiftly grabbed it, curling his fingers around yours.

my crazy heart. what is wrong with you today? please come to your senses okay? faster! you thought to yourself.

the night ended with jisung walking you back to your dorm, the trio left behind still taking pictures. before bidding jisung goodbye, you grabbed the sleeve of his coat, tugging lightly.

“i’ve made up my mind,” you mumbled, staring at the ground. jisung’s faced morphed from one of confusion into one of realisation. this was it, your answer. his heart pumped faster as he anticipated your reply. he really wanted this to work out, heck, he liked you since elementary school!

“ithinkilikeyoutoo,” you murmured, eyes still facing the ground.

“what? i can’t hear you,” jisung smirked, using his hand to cup your jawline and cheek, pulling your head up and locking eyes with you. “say it again.”

“i think i like you too,” you said again, this time with more confidence and gusto. jisung’s smirk turned into a real genuine grin, his eyes crinkling into semi circles. he then leaned down to press his warm lips against your cool ones, eyes slowly closing, encouraging you to do the same. your lips moved in synch as sparks flew.

if it couldn’t get even more cliché, snow started pelting down from the sky, getting caught in his hair. you pulled away, using your hand to brush out the snowflakes on his hair. you were right, his hair felt as fluffy as it looked! jisung blushed, turning his hand away as a small smile formed on his face.

although the weather was freezing cold, both your hearts were warm and fuzzy, embracing your newfound affection and feelings towards the swimmer.

thanks for reading! this kdrama is probably my favourite and it’s my comfort drama so if you haven’t watched it already, please check it out! i chose these idols as i felt like their character traits really matched the characters in the series... i took this idea from the kdrama but the confession part is from my own brain and i hope it gave it a nice ending???
