[Working on commissions and basically trying to get a job. Gonna try to get some redesigns for the comic done so it will be easier for me to draw these broken characters (I've mainly been trying to just get motivated to draw FNAF again but also working on the dialogue).

I'm not planning on redesigning any of them in relation to the DLC, or changing my planned story at all, so the ending will still be the same as I originally planned.

Hopefully me starting to draw these characters again will bring back some joy and maybe I might draw FNAF again for fun! I do want to draw the DLC versions of the animatronics, but for now I am not gonna overfill my plate and just stick with what I plan to do now before I lose all motivation again.

Anyway, hope everyone is doing good and hopefully I will have some scraps for you all soon!]

Most likely. I just got a new tablet so I am getting used to it before doing stuff like commissions (which I still have to do some) or comics. My most recent posts here are of me talking about bringing the comic back, so it is something I am trying to do, but I'm doing it at my own pace and want to try and make a backlog before posting anything at all. So patience is key.

Honestly I’m just gonna leave this here: In some part I feel kind of responsible for some of that hate, I was pushing out this comic series to a ton of younger people and didn’t try nearly hard enough to rein them in to avoid you some of the harassment, I’m sorry about that Eri. 😞

And on a side note… you are like the only person that actually makes DJ stuff and that’s honestly the most depressing thing for me… WHERE’S THE LOVE FOR THE BEST BOY!? COME ON PEOPLE 😂

Eh, don't put too much of the blame on yourself. I'm pretty much solely to blame because I put my art onto tiktok and when one person asked for a part 2, I caved and started making it a series. I should have just stuck to my guns and said it was just a one-off piece or something like that. I dug my grave, so I laid down in it (for a bit before leaving it because I was sick of the dirt, but now I'm back to counting the worms before diving back into the pit lol).

So don't blame yourself. I was too nice and too much of a people pleaser. It's not even that I am/was getting hate, just people being entitled and unappreciative of my work and always wanting the next part right after I posted. It's hard to control a fanbase, so don't worry about thinking you caused any of this for me!

Also, I'm definitely not the only person who was making DJ stuff, but I did put a LOT more emphasis on him than the other characters (not counting the DCA) since I absolutely adore DJ and the Minis so much. Ever since I heard the OG Music Man's voice from UCN, I've been in love with that character and concept!

But yea, if I do end up going through and finishing the comic, DJMM and the Minis do come back and actually have a pretty important role in the comic (funnily enough, the next part, or the one after the next, was going to have the Minis in it, so once I get back to drawing/my tablet comes in, you'll be seeing more of them again).

I gotta say I love Security Alert! If drawing is too time-consuming for you or something could you potentially finish the story through fanfiction?

Eh, problem is, I'm not a writer.

Trust me, if I do ever truly want to abandon the story, I do plan to actually just like copy and past my story outline into a read more on here and post it.

Got very close to doing so multiple times, but I just knew if I did that I would never want to finish drawing the story, which is something I very much want to do.

This comic has been in the back of my mind ever since I stopped drawing it, so I knew I was one day going to come back (though it was going to be a long while before picking it back up again) which is why I never actually release my writing before.

So uh, yeah. I'm not gonna make a fanfiction, but if I ever truly give up on the comic before finishing the drawing, I will try to clean up my notes/story outline and post them for all of you. Someone else can make it into a fanfiction or I will draw just certain scenes I really wanted to get to but never did.

I'm an artist and really my only true skill is drawing, so the only way this story is getting finished by me is through visuals lol. Glad you like the story though. Hopefully my tablet gets here soon. I actually feel like drawing fnaf again (also need to figure out how I can change the drawing process to be faster. Most likely gonna stop coloring the lines of characters and gonna just use three colors instead of 4+).

Please don't rush your comics take it slow and steady I know many people are eager to see more from your comics but please don't forget your human you need to take breaks from time to time art burnout isn't a joke I myself was once a artist and i quit that because it didn't bring me much joy anymore because of excessive burnout so please from one artist to another Take a breather maybe plan what your gonna do for the story going forward maybe take some inspiration from the game or something though whatever the outcome I will honor it.

Oh don't worry about the story itself. I have it all planned out and am absolutely not changing it (other than possible dialogue changes, I have the major plot points all set though). So that's not the issue.

It was the actual art itself. You are right, art burnout isn't a joke, and honestly I'm pretty sure I've never been closer to quitting art than when I was making Security Alert. The only difference with me is, art is one of the very few things that bring me any sense of joy. It's literally either a select few video games, or making art/stories, and at the time of making Security Alert I was in a video game burnout too and struggling through college.

All of that built up to make me miserable to draw and probably super depressed looking back at it (though I wouldn't hit a true low until my last semester, if I was still trying to do the comic then I don't think I would have made it).

Anyway, thank you for your words. I do appreciate them! I am going to take my time with this comic. Maybe even try out a different format or something. Smaller parts or less detail in the art. I just want to get the story out, and since I am not a writer, I have to draw it. But I'll definitely be taking my time when drawing it.

I'll be honest, I don't know how many people might have realized it, but I am a serial procrastinator that needs deadlines to get shit done, and I get stuff done all in one go or not at all. So all those big parts I posted? Those were all done in basically one sitting. Some of them were done in 3 days with me getting a total of like 3-4 hours of sleep on the weekend, not even counting the editing I did for videos. So you can probably see why I started to resent the comic and start to burn out from it.

I'm literally just rambling now, but I wanted people to know a little bit about what I went through since I know not everyone will be as understanding as you or other people who have sent in kind words to me in the past. I've learned my lesson then, and since I am not in college anymore, I won't feel rushed to get things out before the weekend is done or be rushing myself to make people happy.

It honestly all really sucks because I was always so happy to post the comic/tiktok and pass out finally, then to wake up to a flood of nice messages. But it would all too soon go away because only a day (sometimes not even) after posting people would be demanding the next part. It just sucks since I did have fun a lot, but also had that fun drained away just as quickly.

I don't even know what I am trying to say anymore. Thank you for the nice words. I will keep to my word about not rushing myself or pushing myself too much. I do feel like I am, at some point, going to try doing what I did before and pull all nighters and fuck up my sleep schedule drastically, but I'm hoping I will recognize the signs this time and take a step back once I possibly start doing that.

So don't be upset (saying this to the general audience/whoever reading this, not specifically you) if at some point in the future, if the comic does continue, that there might be another hiatus. Will definitely try not to go on a basically year long hiatus like I did last time, but depending on how my mental state is, it might be a pretty long one.

will security alert ever come back? I just found it and i love the story. i hope it comes back :(

I didn't want to say anything because I really don't want people pressuring me (don't worry about your ask being seen as pressure, you are one of the nicer people to ask when it's coming back unlike a lot of people on tiktok), but I was going to TRY and just get through it and finish the damn story.

Unfortunately, right now I have no way to draw digitally. I am having a new tablet being shipped so whenever that gets here I will have to get used to it before getting into anything big.

So that being said... There is a very SMALL possibility that I am going to continue Security Alert. I am definitely abandoning all the other small comics I was doing, and honestly I wish I had done that sooner and maybe I would have finished Security Alert in the first place, but I didn't so I just severely burnt myself out and needed to just stop for a while on the comic.

So again. There are no definite promises that it is coming back. But I do want to finish the story. You might be able to tell though that I am not all that excited to do so in my tone.

Personally, I really do want to finish the story, because it is fun to think about the story itself, but thinking about actually sitting down and drawing the story, for a lot of people who weren't even appreciating the work I put into the story and just wanted the next part (again, not you specifically, but a lot of other people on other sites) just makes me feel sick and hateful to the comic and the game/media in general.

Literally the DLC came out and barely revived any of my love I used to have for this whole thing. The only thing it did do was reinforce my love for the Mini Music Men lol (I do wish we saw DJ Music Man in the DLC, that would have been cool).

So yeah. I am going to TRY and get through the story. The style is definitely going to be different and I might do smaller parts as well, but it's going to still be a while until I am going to do so since, like I said, I physically can't draw digitally right now. I also want to try and actually get a bunch of pages done before releasing new content so that I am not feeling as pressured to actually rush myself.

I was going to try and do all of this without saying anything to just surprise people while also not disappoint people if I never actually go through with continuing, but enough people have been following me and asking recently (most likely because of the DLC) that I am just gonna say this.

So if you came here for content, just be patient I guess. I do have the whole story planned out since before I stopped making content, and I am not changing anything because of the DLC, so some things aren't going to line up with the DLC, but I honestly don't care anymore and just want to get this story done so I can get this weight off my shoulders whenever I think about this comic.

Thanks for reading this far if you did. I'll do my best to get the comic up and running again, but again, like I said multiple times, don't get your hopes up too high. It will be a bit until I can get going again, and this time I am going to take my sweet ass time with this comic so I don't end up absolutely hating this comics and franchise by the end of it. Hang in there and hopefully I can finish this. I am one person doing this for free, so let's all hope I keep my motivation this time and actually get to the end of this story (pretty sure at this point in the story we are like 1/3 or half-way done, so if I can go with my original place then there should be quite a bit more content for me to make).

No it's okay, I probably should make an announcement here or something.

I'm probably not making any more Security Alert stuff, or FNAF stuff in general. It burns me out too quickly and I am not as found of the game as I used to be.

Like maybe one day I will get back to the comic, but not for at least a few more months as I am finishing up college. But I wouldn't be counting on it.

[Yikes it’s been a bit. Uuuh, just got some asks for more color palettes (along with some I got a bit ago) and I want to say I will get to them at some point, I just... I REALLY don’t care for FNAF that much right now. Having the comic in the back of my head is probably why I don’t want to draw it anymore.

Idea 2: Vanessa is great with kids

Contrary to most fics, where "freed" Vanessa acts exactly the same as Vanny, just not evil; I believe that in the pre-Help Wanted era, Vanessa was actually great with children. My reasoning is as follows:

Fazbear Entertainment wants to improve their reputation before the VR game release and the pizzaplex opening.

Decide to make each of their "branches" (companies that work for them) send one of their employees to schools to talk about their job as a way to "be transparent."

Vanessa's job is basically "play/ break video games," so Silver Parasol Games, the company that made FNAF VR in this universe, decides to send her out.

Vanessa finds working with the kids to be very enjoyable. She used to babysit kids when she was a teenager. Her positive and bubbly personality (as evidenced by the cut FNAF AR emails) makes the kids really like her. They are blown away by the idea that they can be paid to play video games.

Vanessa especially likes when some of those kids get that look of "I have found what I want to do with my life."

It's a win for everyone! Vanessa inspires some kids to get into tech, the children get a newfound love for technology, and Fazbear Entertainment's reputation goes up...slightly.

All this just serves to make the whole "Vanny" thing even worse, especially if some of her victims were those same kids Vanessa once talked with.

[I personally see Vanessa as not caring for kids, not hating them, but not loving them. But all of this is really cool to read! I like all the details you have here (I don’t know what’s exactly canon or headcanon, but either way it’s all good!)

Though just because someone is a game tester doesn’t mean they have to be good with kids. I know what you are getting at, but that is something to keep in mind. There are professional gamers out there that break the game and find bugs, who don’t like kids, even if they game they are playing is for kids.

But anyway, I do really like this split contrast between free Vanessa, controlled Vanessa, and Vanny, Makes me think that post-freed Vanessa might be a slight mix between all of them but leaning more towards pre-controlled Vanessa. So she would still love kids and love hanging out with them, but is scared of hurting them, but also has a sour taste in her mouth thinking about kids because of how Vanny influenced her.

Now that influence might not actually be there anymore, as in all the emotions that Vanny felt are now dormant and gone or numb, but the ideas of what Vanny did and how that makes freed Vanessa feel are still something to look at. Her fear of hurting kids would still be there whether Vanny’s emotions are something she can access or not. Her love for kids would still be with her, just potentially not as strong as it was once before. It’s the idea that she might have a small disdain or dislike for kids that could be up in the air.

When living in a very stressful time for long periods of time, out body changes physically and mentally. Vanny would have changed Vanessa’s core over time, causing her to change permanently even after Vanny’s immediate influence vanished. Vanessa would definitely have some trauma, which is where the fear comes from, but after potentially years of hating and killing kids, being deceptive and controlled, I don’t think Vanessa would ever be able to go back to 100% loving kids.

She would have some kind of intrusive thoughts or small inkling of hatred for kids. Even if she would never act on those feelings, and she hates having those kinds of thoughts, it would be something that would pop up from time to time that she would definitely need to work through.]

This is for DJ: pls DJ is moon a boy or girl because you said he and her??

DJSS: Moon is a robot. We don't have the same... accessories that humans do to distinguish between sex. Some of us were made with a gender in mind, like Roxy or Freddy, while others were not, like Sun or Moon.

Moon goes by all pronouns, but only with good friends. I would suggest you and people who don't know it use just they/he pronouns out of respect unless Moon gives you permission to use its other pronouns.
