Traditional femininity is empowering. There is strength in being soft, beauty in being kind, and peace in being soft spoken and humble.
Feminine women add to the world by building up a sense of community and fostering safe and comfortable homes in those communities.
It’s not humiliating to be a traditionally feminine woman.

the beauty of being an authentic, good-hearted person is that your presence is always felt + your absence will always be missed. that is why you don’t have to retaliate when someone wrongs you. they’ll feel it one way or another.

“Why is self-discipline worth possessing? Because those who possess it have the ability to determine what they do with their life. Those who lack self-discipline will have the path they take through life determined by someone or something else.”

The kpinga was a throwing knife (shongo) used in the Congo and South Sudan in the 19th Century. Though it looks strange, the fact it has such a strange asymmetry is so that that when thrown, it is weighted around a central axis, causing it to spin in mid-air to make it travel farther.

The girl here is screaming: Where are you taking me? Are you taking me to the cemetery?
But the man tells her: you're alive and you are beautiful, you're alive.
This breaks my heart. She was pulled out from the rubble and immediately thought she was dead. The sheer terror in her words. Do something to stop this genocide.
