I am sorry Mettaton that I completely forgot about your originally in my ramblings. I love you, but I forgot. I did think maybe Mettaton as Vox, for various reasons. Which should have been obvious while I was making that original Hazbin Hotel Ask, but I didn't. Maybe it was/is too obvious. Mettaton as (mostly) Val works too.

Yeah, this could be very interesting. What makes it even funnier, is that there are theories that Lilith is who owns Alastor's soul, and the beef Alastor and Lucifer having going on. Like, it makes Asgore as Lucifer and Sans as mainly Alastor even more fitting, considering their connections to Toriel - so Lilith -, and stuff. Also, like I said, considering Lilith and Lucifer divorced, that makes Asgore and Toriel having their roles even more fitting, Ha...ha.

Ohhhhh, interesting. Another reason Asriel is a good fit, is due Asriel's angel connections, and because in a way, he becomes a "demon" as Flowey. So Asriel being a fallen angel and probably still former executation is actually quite fitting.

So I just wanted to ramble some more about this AU and stuff, esp. with Hazbin Hotel Season 1 getting released.

And I just gotta say, both Alastor and Husk give me even more/so much Sans vibes and stuff. Like, both have a love of puns/Dad jokes, the hidden motives and secrets and/or etc., almost always smiling, to the point where u can’t always really tell what is behind that smile and is going on in that head of theirs (though with both Sans and Alastor, u can usually tell when they are pissed), Alastor’s sclera can get black and Sans’ eye-sockets can go completely black, both have powers that can help them suddenly disappear and/or etc. (Sans teleporting and/or time freeze powers) and Alastor’s shadow powers (Sans also hides in the shadows when u first meet him), I could see Sans’ losing hope in sinners not being able to get better/he could see them as being too far gone and/or basically/pretty much too far gone, and just overall more nihilistic in sinners redeeming kind of (but not exactly basically ofc) like Alastor, and/or etc. They actually fit each other really well in a fair amount of ways, honestly.

Husk and Sans also give off kind of similar demanours to me, and way of speaking kind of to me. Also, Sans has a casino look, has a good poker face, and is very good at reading people, and Husk has connections to cards and stuff. Both Alastor and Husk are quite and/or very smart too, like Sans. Then there is the relationship of Husk and Angel Dust too. Though, Sans as Alastor fits the Chara, Sans, and Asriel relations more. And/or etc. So yeah, both fit Sans pretty and/or very well actually.

(I know/I'm pretty sure Sans is some combo of like Alastor and Valentino, though btw, in some form. Kind of like Gaster; kind of. I don’t really know what to say about that though more specifically. Yeah, whoops).

Asgore fits Lucifer very well; like so well. They are both depressed Dads who are separated from their wives. And just want to be good and/or better Dads and/or people.

(and both Alastor and Sans hint/show/have connections to thus separated wife. I.e. Lilith and Toriel, lmao, hahaha).

I still love Chara as Charlie (Chara’s name itself is even kind of close) so much. I just do.

I don’t really know what to say about Asriel with S1 info, I did like what u were already doing w/ him, but I am not sure what I would do with the S1 info with him, yet.

Undyne as Cherri Bomb and/or giving Cherri Bomb vibes still feels quite fitting and very good for her, but I am not completely sure.

I have no idea who Vaggie would be. Like, I would say Frisk, but I know u have them as an Angel, and there is an Angel (whose name is escaping me at the moment, even though I like them) that wants to help Hell and stuff, that could also fit Frisk.

Muffet (or Truffet) gives me both Velvette vibes and Rosie vibes. If u want to play more into Sans’ relationship w/ Muffet and them being friends, and give/have/keep Alastor inspiration for Sans and stuff, then Roise/more Rosie inspiration for Muffet would fit more. I think both could fit her though. Rosie seems to fit Muffet’s more formalness more and/or more the more darker parts of Muffet’s morality (though Vel has her own dark parts of her morality too; I just think Rosie’s own brand fits the darker parts of Muffet’s own a bit more).

Vel’s fashion, way of speaking some, her influencer ways (I could see Muffet enterprising like Vel to get the stuff she wanted, Muffet’s quite the business-woman herself, and/or etc.), and/or etc. also fit Muffet quite well. Muffet’s current (very cute and pretty) design kind of gives me Vel vibes too (for some reason).

Alphys I know u have as a the Cotton Candy Killer, and honestly, I don’t know where I who we would place her as and/or take inspiration from with the S1 stuff. Vox? Mimzy?? Rosie??? Maybe even Velvette too???? I don’t know. I am not sure.

Gaster I don’t u have inspired by Valentino. But I could see him being inspired by Vox too perhaps? Hmmm????

I also, still love Paps as Angel Dust. I just really like it.

Also, this is just me rambling a lot lol. U don’t have to do any of these ideas for ur Hazbin Hotel Undertale AU/Underhell AU; it is ur AU after all!

Anyways, done with all the Underhell AU rambling! And ur AU and stuff rambling in general.

So, like I said in my previous Ask, I wanted to talk about some of ur other stuff (non-Dead Ringer) in another Ask/other Asks. At least for the most part, and that is this Ask.

I just wanted to say the “Inkubator’s Arc has been interesting so far (though, I do need to catch up on it some), and I am really happy u are posting it elsewhere (Tumblr), besides TikTok. Maybe u could even post it on YouTube someday, like u do w/ Dead Ringer, Bonnytale in the future, etc. But it is fine if u don’t. Inkubator’s Arc seems to be done in quite the different format than Dead Ringer is and Bonnytale is being done is, which is also interesting.

I like the cast of Inkubator’s Arc so far, or at least, what we know and/or have seen it of so far.

Ok, done with talking about Inkubator’s Arc (for now at least, maybe), gonna talk about Bonnytale some now.

Bonnytale remains an awesome, interesting, and gorgeous AU to me, and I am really excited to see ur own AU’s story and stuff play out.

(This is the one Dead Ringer thing I am going to mention. And I am mentioning it in connection to Bonnytale. Or well, it was the one Dead Ringer thing I was going to mention in this Ask, but I had something else(s) after this).

I remember seeing u decided to wait until u finished the pilot, instead of posting just the intro. So you could post both the intro and pilot, and that it would maybe be early 2024 then/now? But I can’t remember, but if u are going to be posting it after Dead Ringer, does that mean after all 7 (I think) episodes are done? Including the intro and pilot? If so, that is cool, just wanted to clarify. And I am excited for then and stuff.

Also, forgot to mention this in my Dead Ringer Ask, and/or it just came to my mind now to say about ur Dead Ringer AU. I just wanted to say, I really love and find it funny that Dead Ringer, who is the alive one, looks like the dark, kind of tired-looking “demon” child, while Chara (the dead one) looks so much happier and brighter and/or lighter. Just wanted to send an Ask on/about some stuff!

So about Dead Ringer, been looking at ur hxllo nana YT community tab posts and updates and stuff, including on Dead Ringer. And I just want to say holy moly goly, an hour long video for Ep4! Man, and the last episode (Ep3) of like almost 44 minutes was already long! So much effort and stuff, no wonder why (among various other reason(s)) it has been taking a bit. Really excited for it to come out this month Feb. or March probably, but like, I hope u aren’t hurting ur self too much doing so. I know u have been working really hard on it, and u also have College (which, I can relate with how College can make u busy, being in College myself) stuff, and stuff. So while I am very excited for the next episode (Ep4) of Dead Ringer, please also take things easy and stuff.

I think the first one is probably Phantom, and wowie, if so, no wonder u said “Phantom can’t be left alone for 5 minutes”. The second picture has a pretty scared/worried looking Paps, with a (probably) maliciously mischievous Dust (though, it could be Sans, u can’t see his eyes in that picture after. And considering some stuff in the episodes itself and some stuff u have said, and considering Sans is not really, the most sane of people, rather he became Dust or not, yeahhhh…, it could be Sans Classic. It is probably Dust, but it could be him instead) - is he the one causing Paps his worry and/or fear? Or part of the reason for it? - they both look quite cute in that picture actually. And the 3rd picture has Mettaton! Nice to see him! Can’t remember if he was in previous episodes really, I don’t think he was, and/or if he really was. But yeah, nice to see him! He looks gorgeous/gorgeous in ur style. He is also looking pretty fearful and/or worried in that picture to me. And now, while I am excited to see him, and I am now, worried for his safety (too).

So I got from this is Paps, Frisk, and Alphys aren’t to be having that great of times and/or were already having not great of times, Phantom, like I said/alluded too, just seems to be causing problems and stuff, and both the Sanses are messed up. Which yeah, makes sense. Though, I get that Dust: “should be put on an FBI watchlist or a restraining order”, but like, I am getting more and more worried about Classic Sans. THere are have been some hints so far, that Classic Sans isn’t doing the best either too, and Classic Sans, like I have said already is quite messed up and not the most sane himself, even before becoming Dust (and/or etc.), but at same time what is Classic up to/doing/have done?? God, Sanses, I love them, but they sometimes get me worried of and/or for them.

Also, some last Dead Ringer stuff.

I am very excited, but also worried (for the characters in the series, that is. Esp. with the stuff going in the series itself, the poll u did on who u think is going to die, some of these other things u are saying, like in posts. Including some stuff I have already talked about here. And/or etc.) for the next Dead Ringer episode(s).

And I am very excited to see how Ep4 (and in turn, Ep5) will be Frisk, Sans’, and Paps’ stories, because I think u mentioned that Ep4 and Ep5 will be their stories. Which is cool! And makes Ep4 being so long even better too.

Will probably/maybe be saying more specific Dead Ringer stuff (of Ep3 and then Ep4 for the most part probably) after Ep4 comes out.

Ok, I am done now, lol. I got more to say on stuff, but those are about ur other AUs and stuff, and not Dead Ringer (well, for the most part). So I feel like that/those would be better for other Ask(s) to separate out the content of the Asks. Plus, this is getting really long. So I am going to stop this Ask here. :)

Ah, lol, yeah, this makes sense. In the sense, that Dust already used the red one, so he is using the blue one. Makes telling the difference between the old, first doodles, and the new ones easier too. It also makes more sense considering what the blue doodles were, that it was Dust that did them too.

Dust Sans is so petty; suits Sans. And it is just so funny. Lol. I love him doodling and stuff like this in the end credits screens.

(I still think it would have been funny too if Dust Sans and Other Sans were like, have doodle fights in the end screens/end credits screens, ahahah).

Forgot to mention in my last Ask, but I also quite love Undyne. She was great in both the flashbacks and the present. Though, I also feel really bad for her. Getting beat up by Paps when Undyne was being pushy about Sans. Which, Undyne was just trying to look out for Paps (though, she also just has a bias against Sans. Though, to be fair on her, Sans is…Sans), but the brothers will look out for each other. And Undyne pushed herself too much about Sans for Paps. Paps felt very guilty about it though (Sans came back to Undyne passed out on the floor and stuff. Lol. And then consoled Paps about it, ahaha).

Undyne then got tested on by Sans (though, it didn’t really work out, because of her DT). I am sorry Undyne, u were pissing Sans off, and he isn’t as fond as u as he is say, Paps, Alphys, Toriel, Grillby, etc. Him calling her a test subject, and Sans saying he sounded like “him”, was such a good way to show Sans’ Gaster ties, and his testing stuff (might some more about this in those potential/maybe reblogs and/or whatever I might do) and stuff like that in general, is a really good way to show Sans’ more scientific side/scientific BG. I am also very fond of the flashbacks in Ep4 and Dust’s interrogation of Frisk in Ep4, because it really shows how much of a face/expression and mind reader Sans and/or Dust Sans can be. And how generally cold, analytical, smart, sadistic, and messed up each can be.

And then in the Ep4 flashbacks, both her and Paps basically got their realities destroyed (and both became even more gung-ho about hunting humans. Though, for both the same and different reasons).

So yeah, basically, I love Undyne and I feel very bad for her. She has not been having a good time lately.

I got even more character stuff and/or etc. to say, but again, saving those for something I might do later, in some other way (probably).

Off more character specific stuff, I am now starting to understand why Ep3 was called Prejudgemet (like, it took me way too long to understand that it was probably called that because Ep3 is pre-judgement. I completely figured out though at the ending screen that counts down towards judgment. I should really look up Ep4's title meaning at some point though.).

I still like the beginning screen that some character art, disclaimer, inspirations, etc., and I am defin. liking the ending screens and how they keep changing, and sometimes the creepy laugher and creepy, but sometimes funny and pretty stuff on the ending screens, Like, Ep3 having the doodles and writings from Dust Sans I presume, with Ep4's (I think) ending screen having blue doodles and text over that, that I presume come from the other Sans. Lol, they are fighting, even in the ending screens.

These episodes somehow made me want a happy ending even more for both Sanses and Paps's and Frisk and Chara too. Though, Chara, the Sanses, and Phantom (Paps and Frisk have their issues too, my goodness) are very messed up. But Phantom kind of got better in Ep4 after coming to a realization about how much he had lost himself when talking to Paps.

The Sanses and Chara though, are yeah, hmmm, yeah. Like, Chara is at least trying to hep out the people of her universe, but they also want some entertainment. The Sanses though; well, I want them both to be happy, and to get better. But all the therapy in the world, might not help them. And I also know that probably isn't ikely (like Chara and Sans(s) and etc. have been alluding to. And like what Phantom said, one of the Sanses might die. And he and the others will welcome and take of Paps' Sans if it is, and he will finally be able to rest with his Sans if it is his. Though, the Devil might not let them be together for awhile. Pretty understandably), but a person can hope.

I know u said Ep5 probably wouldn't be as long as Ep4, but I wouldn't mind that (and I wouldn't mind waiting longer for a longer episode, like w/ Ep4), esp. with how Ep4 left off, and how great Ep3 and Ep4 have been. But I also totally understand if Ep5 isn't.

I got some other things to say (mainly praise, interesting stuff I want to talk and theorize about, and/or etc., but I wil save that for the probably reblog(s), comment(s), or something I am going to do (if not/if not for now, I am doing at least this).

Some small critiques here and there. Nothing major, but sometimes text would get cut off, where I couldn't completely read what was being said, and so I had to kind of guess. Usually, I could still understand what was being said, and the times that it did happen were still some of my favorite parts of the Episodes.

U have much improved at making text readable on darker BG's and stuff though. The only times I had trouble with this, were for some of Chara's dialogue. And one time during the Mettaton section, when we got a bunch of text from the crowd after Sans and Paps fell from above on the stage.

So basically, it didn't happen much at all.

Also, I think how quickly you move between text and/or dialogue, but I wouldn't mind it a bit slower myself sometimes. Though, honestly, this is basically fine/they move at a pretty good pace, and I could and do, just pause, if I need to more fully take in what is saying.

Anyways, I loved Ep3 and Ep4 very much! U did great on them. And I am very excited (but also have so much dread for the characters. U can really feel like a clash and/or some probably even more very bad stuff is going to go down from the titles, the episodes themselves, the ending cards that are getting more chaotic and which keep countdown to something, and stuff) for the next episode(s) whenever that ends up being!

Also, besides Ep3 and I think Ep2 or Ep1, do you have the episode video thumbnail art and/or posts with the links of/to the episodes and/or clips of the videos on your blog? I would love to reblog them, because 1. They are awesome, and I want to help share Dead Ringer, 2. Reblogging stuff like that was one way I thought of how I could talk more about Dead Ringer, that wasn't Asks, and 3. I just really like the thumbnail art, so I want to be able to like and reblog them.

Alright done talking about Dead Ringer for now. I got some more Ask(s), but they will probably be mostly, if not, completely not Dead Ringer related.

I am really happy u liked this! And I had so much more too. Like, Ep3 and Ep4 (esp. Ep4, but Ep3 gave a lot too) had so much interesting stuff to chew on, theorize about, and talk about. So you will probably be seeing more analyses and character analyses from me. Hopefully before the next episode comes out. And hopefully in general. I know I can be bad about actually doing things timely or at all, lol. But hey, at least when I do stuff, I tend to go all out! Like with my Asks. Hahaha.

Which u certainly do. Like, u do this so well, and so much better, than a lot of people (not other people don't do it well, or that other people who don't do it as well, can't do stuff well too. But like, I just think u are one of the best at portraying characters)

Oh yeah, this happens quite often. I certainly see it happen with UT characters, and it certainly happens with the skelebros. They can get particularly bad when it comes to this, or when it comes to focusing too much on extremes in general, instead of doing more nuanced takes, for very nuanced characters.

DR has such cool use of colors and color palettes and stuff. Ur other stuff too; though their color focuses are usually different. Like Bonnytale and Underhell.

Happy we will get to see his yellow eye in BT, and maybe UH. I love Sans' blue eye very much, but I feel like his yellow eye doesn't get shown as much. Even though it is also cool and fits Sans. Plus, while the blue eye and clothes look really cool. Blue and yellow also look really good together imo.

Might some of this under a "read more" later, might not. For now, I am going to keep this as is.

I am back once again after having both read all ur answers to my Asks. Thank u so much for loving them and some of the ideas I gave for ur HH AU. And now, having also finally finished Ep3 and Ep4 of Dead Ringer. And OMG, they were so good. I think Ep3 and Ep4 are my favorite episodes now; even though all the episodes are great.

I adore how u write everyone, but the way u write Sans (both Dust/Murder Sans and the other Sans) and Paps (both Phantom and the other Paps). As well as Chara and Frisk are esp. great and a real highlight. I have a feeling they are going to be great in Bonnytale and ur Hazbin Hotel AU, considering how u do them in Dead Ringer, and what I have seen of those AUs. Alphys is great too.

And the bits we got with Mettaton, Napsta, and Mad Mew Mew were both funny and interesting (no wonder Mettaton looked scared, he was able to tell Dust wasn't their Sans. Find it so interesting and cool how the ghost monsters can tell he isn't their Sans).

Haven't seen that much of Asgore and Toriel, but they seem sweet, and I love how they look (I really love how u give them rectangle goat eye pupils). Oh, and Flowey in Ep4 in the flashbacks was awesome! Probably one of my favorite Floweys now. Loved Flowey's dynamic with Sans and Paps too.

I now understand even more why both Sanses should be on an FBI watchlist now. I will say more about this in a reblog or something that I am planning on doing talking about Dead Ringer, because I don't want to bombard ur Asks so much and stuff.

(Edit: This has gotten longer than expected. And I am going to have to do separate Asks anyways again. Lol. I do still plan to probably say even more in reblogs, comments, or whatever though).

But I will say this; God, do I love when Sans more moral grayness and/or dark sides and stuff are explored, and do that VERY well. They are both so twisted, to a point, that I don't even know which Sans is more twisted (will say more about this in my reblog or whatever, hopefully). They are both so supremely screwed up.

(I am pretty damn sure the flashbacks - which btw in one of those flashbacks, one of the later ones, the fricken art that focused on Sans and his blue eye and the leaves or something in the BG when he was talking about Frisk and their utter hatred for them and other disturbing stuff and then flashing over to a more of a Dust Sans, looking Sans in Judgement Hall all in red was freaking gorgeous, terrifying, and haunting. Man, Sans' blue eye, can be just as terrifying and cold, if not, even more so sometimes, as Dust's more red ones. I wonder how Sans' yellow eye could look in ur style -

(We see in Ep4 is the Sans, Dust is trying to replace, not Dust, and then there is the stuff that gets revealed when Phantom conjures up mimics of both their brothers and stuff. Frisk not wanting to say stuff about their Sans to Dust Sans, when he was questioning them, and the stuff at the very end, after Chara calls him. What he says in the blue text against the black BG. And/or etc. And Dust being twisted is very self-explanatory, I think.

(If I am right about this, that makes that really cool and pretty art that showed the title of the episode, that showed two 2 different Sanses, and I think a scarf, but dead Paps, and alive Paps, even better than it already was).

I am happy both Paps do understand that their brothers (Sans) do love them both very much, in their own, Sans and/or twisted ways, at least.

The two Paps's bonding about their Sanses both being miserable cowards, that don't tell them anything, and push them away, and won't show their pain and suffering, and won't let people in/help them, and how their Sanses do both love them very much, was somehow sad, heartwarming, funny, and messed up all at once.

Ep3 and 4 were very funny at times too; while also being very dark at times. Sometimes they were both funny and dark. Esp. stuff with Sans (both Sanses), Paps (both Paps's), Chara, and Frisk. Flowey too. Though, it makes sense to me, they could have dark humor and/or things could be both funny and dark, considering how these characters are. It is fitting.

Oh, Alphys was also quite funny in the episodes. And Metta got a chuckle or 2 from me. 1/?.

After reading ur reblog, I also agree this is probably going to come down to agree to disagree. But I will at least reply to what u said here in this reblog.

"Firstly, around Bayverse. Now, I actually enjoyed the Bayverse films, and disregarding the weirdness with April, I don't mind Mikey's character all that much. And you're right, people have called.him out for that weirdness before. I was simply saying that, in comparison to 12 Donnie, people focus on it way less. I have read countless crossovers that include Bayverse in which 12 Donnie is repeatedly shamed/chastised/made fun of by other iterations for his behaviour towards April, yet they very rarely address Bay!Mikey. They tend to just ignore that aspect of Bay!Mikey entirely, immediately having him seeing April as an older sister."

Ok, maybe this is true, I haven't read and/or seen ever crossover in exist. But at the same time, I still find it odd to bring up Bayverse Mikey, because while 2012 Donnie does sadly get some unfair treatment sometimes, he does still get a lot of love too, by some fans. While Bayverse Mikey in comparison people seem to not all that like and/or a more neutral and/or mixed towards (though, I am sure some people love Bayverse Mikey too). Unlike 2012 Donnie which people tend to either love or not like more (i.e.; people are less neutral and/or mixed on him. For better or worse. Though, some have neutral or mixed feelings about 2012 Donnie too).

Also, I have seen plenty of crossovers where 2012 Donnie's crush/feelings aren't focused on too much, and/or other things about 2012 Donnie gets focused on too and/or instead. Honestly, I just think it depends on the takes or crossovers u see. And like I said, I do thin a reason why people might focus on Donnie's crush more than Mikey' feelings is because TMNT 2012 is a whole series, and the Bayverse movies are 2 movies.

I also think TMNT 2012 itself focuses on Donnie's feelings for April more, than Mikey's feelings. Which could also cause people to maybe focus on Donnie's crush more than Mikey's feelings. I say maybe, because like I said, I see people bring up BV Mikey's feelings a lot, and people think it is weird usually (I personally much prefer Donnie's relationship with April, than BV Mikey's relationship with April).

"And regarding 12 Leo... Look, again. I acknowledge that people do mention Leo's crush on Karai being weird, but it also is never really treated as maliciously as the way people tend to react to 12 Donnie in my opinion. Maybe I over exaggerated because I'm so used to seeing people dump on 12 Donnie, but it always seems to me like people who bring Leo and Karai up in fics will have a brief, 'it's kinda gross that you had a crush on your sister' moment, and then not bring it up again, whereas characters will harp on about Donnie and April for ages, and how weird it is because they view their Aprils as sisters."

People literally joke and bring it up so much. To the point parts of their actual characters and their actual relationship gets ignored. There are people that hate on and bash Leo and Karai's characters just because of Leo's crush and a couple parts of their relationship and/or perceived relationship (I say perceived, because they have a very interesting, complex relationship, that sometimes gets boiled down to just "Leo used to have a crush on his sister", that when he first started crushing on her he didn't really know she was his sister or his cousin).

Also, again, whether Donnie's get harped on more on crossovers just comes down to POV, personal, opinion, what takes and/or crossovers we have seen, and/or etc. Because I sometimes see their crushes being made fun of equally, or one of them more than the other, or both kind of crushed over, and/or etc. Saying that, I don't like when people make Donnie liking April his whole character, because that isn't' true. But I also don't like when people Leo having a crush on Karai HUGE things about their characters and their relationship.

Yes, some of their relationship can come across flirty, but most of it is before the reveal, and stuff after pretty easily (imo) can come across them as good friends and siblings. Leo's brothers (like Raph) do tease him about it, but that is what family does. Anyways, we can just agree to disagree to here. Our difference in opinions mostly seems to stem from a difference in interpretations and feelings here.

Yes, Leo does have somewhat of a focus on Karai, but he also just genuinely does just tend to see the good in people, and tends to give people chances. TMNT 2012 Leo, esp. at the beginning, like the first 2 seasons especially, is still naive, starry-eyed, and not as inexperienced. You seem spare Purple Dragons, because Leo likes to give people chances, and like the focus on Karai being honorable, Leo also, tries to be honorable. Leo and Karai are actually narrative foils, esp. in TMNT 2012, it is very interesting. He is even willing to give people a chance to end things more peacefully before being more violent about it (though, my boy Leo can be very violent, lol), like before he wipes a bunch of aliens in S3.

Even in later seasons he can still be pretty merciful, all things considered like somewhat when he was in Usagi's' realm, trying to understand how Shredder (before Leo killed him, which still a more last resort) could kill his own brother (because Leo, being someone who loves his brothers and family very much, just has trouble understanding how he could do so), and their father.

Or when he stopped Donnie from killing the Mob Leader guy (I don't remember how to spell his name. I know it starts with a V though), because he knows how horrible he felt after killing The Shredder, and he didn't want his family to go through with that too (he is already dirty, so he feels like when he can, he should be the one to further dirty his hands). And he knew Donnie, being the kind person he is, that going through with the kill would probably really hurt him mentally and emotionally in the end.

Basically, yes, Leo did have somewhat of a focus on helping Karai, but Leo, in general, just tends to seeing the good in people more, and tries to give people other chances. But he is not perfect about this, because you know, he is a flawed person.

And I don't think he needs to have to see the good in people right away. It is just something he sometimes tends to do, but not always. Because he is a person and/or flawed person.

Also, S3-4 esp. (though not all of those seasons) Leo is probably the most on edge and distrustful because you know, PTSD and trauma. The guy was literally beaten into a coma (a months long one), and after that, he had to faced enemies while he was still healing and he felt like he was useless, but still kept trying to push himself.

And like Donnie esp. (meaning both Leo and Donnie felt this/like this imo), he felt responsibility in trying to take back New York and save it. So that caused himself to push himself even more. Basically, he was/this was just developing him developing as a character. Also, Slash had literally almost beat his family to death, and Leo was somewhat mad at how Slash was treating some of his team. This all combined together made Leo be more distrustful and bitter towards Slash. At least at first.

I already talked about this basically, so I won't do so again.

And so do the others (accidently put others in danger), they make mistakes. And that is fine. But Leo did geinuely become not as trusting of Karai (though, thngs do get a lot better in S4 and S5 between them. They are the siblings ever at times really), and this is just something some people just tend to gloss over.

Which wasn't Leo's fault in the first place (it is not like Leo meant to blow up Donnie, they just showed up at the wrong time. I honestly personally find it kind of ridiculous how Leo gets demonized sometimes for this. Not saying u are, but by some people).

Leo was taking out the rest of The Shredder's bases, not just to help Karai, because it was something he thought needed to be done, and was actually the smart thing to do (imo). There is a post (that I don't completely agree with, but I do like a fair amount of points in it, that goes more in-depth about some of the stuff I am saying here. If I ever find that post again, I will link it).

I won't say much about this, but here is a good post that goes over some stuff in this episode and some about Leo and Donnie as characters and their relationship in general:

Also, all of them aren't always perfect at saying sorry, and both the situations u mentioned were very high stress ones (and the first one wasn't even really Leo's fault to begin with imo). I just find it unfair to hold a couple of mistakes so strongly over someone's head (not just talking about Leo here, but with Donnie too, and just in general). Esp. since mistakes are human.

Yes, Leo can get annoyed with Donnie, because he is the leader. And even then, the others can get annoyed too, like Raph (which is fine, it is just them being rothers). I do agree both can and do make mistakes, but I disagree that their mistakes with their crushes are that similar (though, I do think they can make somewhat similar mistakes sometimes. And/or etc., because they are both very different, but also, very similar in some regards).

Except for this one last thing, because I wanted to say something somewhat about it now:

I'd like to think that the fandom is at a point were we can see something we don't agree with, without feeling the need to openly label it as a bad post. Different schools of thoughts can co-exist, and just because you disagree with this post doesn't make it bad. I put effort into making my point and comparing with examples, and claiming that it is overall bad because you personally disagree, would be a bit like me claiming that, for instance, all food made with fish is bad, just because I don't particularly like eating fish. That's why I don't say that all fish dishes are bad, I simply say they aren't for me. You've also said that this post, and some of my others, aren't for you, which is completely fair and understandable. But saying that it is a bad post, because it isn't to your tastes, is not."

I probably should have put personally here, but I didn't think it would upset u so much for me to say literally like one line in all of my reblog, that I thought this "wasn't a very good post", to the point u would write this much about it. I just personally didn't think it was a very good post, and I am allowed to think this. Saying that, I could said "personally" or "in my opinion" and/or etc., with that line above and clarified that.

But I didn't originally, because like I said, I didn't think u would focus on it so highly. And literally right after it, I talk about about how I am not personally a fan of some of ur posts, while I am a fan of some others, and sometimes some of ur posts are ust more hit and miss with me and/or etc. So I thought saying all that was enough to basically say this just me saying what I think basically. But I guess not. My mistake.

Hypocrisy in the TMNT Fandom

I may come back to this topic at a later date, but I feel like I need to address the hypocrisy in the TMNT fandom when it comes to how 12 Donnie is treated for his crush on April, compared to other characters such as Bayverse Mikey and Mutant Mayhem Leo, or I might explode. Do I condone everything that 12 Donnie does in the name of his crush on April? No. Do I sometimes find the cringiness of his actions unbearable (keeping in mind that he is my favourite character in 12)? Absolutely. But is there context behind his actions that often gets ignored? Yes. Do the fandom vilify or make fun of behaviour from him that they let slide in other characters? 100% yes.

People love to bash 12 Donnie for his actions, without even considering the reasons behind them (poor choices from the show writers aside). April is the first human his age that Donnie really sees and gets to interact with. He's a deeply insecure character, who feels out of place even amongst his family and, as people have pointed out before me, April represents a wider level of acceptance to Donnie. If a pretty human girl can love him, maybe there is hope for him gaining wider acceptance from humanity. I do think he has genuine feelings for her, but I also believe that part of his obsessiveness is a desire to be more human, or at least be accepted by humans, and he subconsciously views gaining the love of a human to be a part of this. 12 Donnie (like most Donatellos), is keenly aware that he will never get what he wants, or deserves.

He is a genius, and that will never be acknowledged by the world. He will never get everything a human genius would get. He doesn't get go to school, or go shopping for new resources, or make friends who share his interests. He risks his life saving the world over and over again, only to be seen as a villain for the way he looks.

That's part of why he sees 12 Casey as such a threat, Casey is human and doesn't need the same level of acceptance that Donatello does. He already has everything that Donnie wants (he can go to school, make other friends etc), but yet he still wants to be with April. The first human to show Donnie any acceptance. One of the only people to even tentatively seem interested in Donnie's science. If April chooses Casey over Donnie, then that truly does mean that Donnie, as a mutant, and a nerdy outcast mutant to boot, can never find love or acceptance, (again, this would be Donnie's perspective, and it is not April's duty to validate Donnie's self worth by getting in a relationship with him - that being said, the mixed signals she sent definitely didn't help matters).

Also, his stalking is creepy, but this is a kid who grew up with no social interaction besides his brothers, watching shows that provably had dubious ideas of romance. All of his ideas of romance are influenced by media, which isn't exactly a healthy way to gain an understanding of how to express those feelings. And when he knows the exact distance to her apartment, I always thought that he was just insanely good at estimating distances? He's shown to be able to make advanced calculations around distances and things in seconds on the show, so this never really seemed that bad to me, even if the show itself deemed it creepy?

Moreover, for the most part, he does genuinely follow April when he believes she is in danger, or when she is distancing herself from them (again, absolutely not a healthy thought process, but he misses her and wants her safe, and thinks is the best way to handle it). Is it still wrong? Yes. But should Donnie as a character be completely dragged for this for eternity? Not really. Also, can we please move past reducing Donnie's character to nothing more than his failures at flirting?

There is also the fact that April definitely did flirt back with him on numerous occasions. Whether or not this was done consciously, or to manipulate him, or whatever, is a rant for another day, but 12 Donnie definitely does have reasons to believe that April could want a relationship with him. She kisses him, on the mouth, right after he had told her that he was going to stop with his behaviour.

People also genuinely forgive 12 Leo flirting with his sister more than they do Donnie calling April his sweet chinchilla (and yes, Leo and Karai are still flirty even after the reveal that they are siblings, though it is thankfully toned down later on, and though I've seen people jumping through hoops trying to deny it). And Leo's flirting with Karai (even before the reveal), is equally as cringy as Donnie's. He's the poster boy for the 'I can fix them' mentality, even when the person he was trying to fix was actively trying to destroy everyone he cared about. 12 Leo also puts his brothers in danger due to his obsession with Karai, hurting them both physically and mentally, but a lot of people sweep this under the rug and only focus on times that 12 Donnie puts the others in danger due to his crush on April, or see this as a positive thing, showing how Leo never gives up on the people he cares about.

Moving on, 12 Donnie can be possessive of April (again, not great behaviour, and not something I particularly enjoy or condone), but 12 Mikey is the same way about Renet, and no one mentions it? Donnie hugs her (or says he could hug her, I can't quite remember the exact context), and Mikey gets all pissy about it? He's known Renet for barely any length of time, and they have no relationship at this point, but he gets annoyed at Donnie having a friendly interaction with her, as if it hasnt been well established that Donnie is only interested in April? Why is this more acceptable than when Donnie gets annoyed at Casey (a confirmed love rival), shows off about being close to April?

Additionally, why are Bayverse Mikey and Mayhem Leo hardly ever given the same treatment as 12 Donnie? I see countless crossovers where 12 Donnie is given endless shit for his bad flirting, especially as it's towards someone who the other counterparts see as a sister figure, with hardly any of them ignoring how unfair it is to criticise 12 Dee for seeing April differently to the others when their circumstances are different, or bringing up anyone else's behaviour.

Bayverse Mikey is just as bad! In fact, some of the things that he says are far worse than anything 12 Donnie has said, and it just gets brushed over? Even in crossover fics where 12 Dee gets slaughtered for his crush, no one brings up the downright crude things Bay Mikey says?

He constantly calls her a babe (I think 90s Mikey also makes similar comments), and even says 'she's so hot I can feel my shell tightening' which is hella gross tbh. Sure, 'sweet chinchilla' is weird, but it's far less demeaning than babe? And Mikey keeps this attitude up throughout both films? Why is this treated as being more acceptable than 12 Donnie's behaviour? This is even worse as Bay April is clearly an adult compared to the teenage turtles, and is clearly depicted as an older sister figure. At least in 12 there is only a year age gap, and neither April nor her father had anything to do with them when they were babies.

Hell, a few chaarcters (I think 03 Mikey and either 90s Raph or Mikey) make a joke about getting to 'keep her' when they bring an unconscious April back to the lair, and no one bats an eye?? It's played off as a joke, but even so, it's still freaky, and I've never seen anyone mention it before. They don't even get admonished for it!

Also, Mayhem Leo is absolutely just as much of a cringefail flirt as 12 Don, but everyone is acting like he comes across as so much better?! We've only had one movie with him so far, but his behaviour so far isn't all that different to 12 Don's?

They basically act the same way upon their first meeting. The rooftop scene when he first sees her is almost exactly the same as the scene in 12. And the comment about her beautiful, perfect mouth? If 12 Donnie said that he'd be slaughtered, but because it was Mayhem Leo, it's considered cute? When 12 Donnie gets super excited about getting April's number even though they already have it on the fridge it's embarrassing, but when Mayhem Leo tries to get Mayhem Donnie's phone to swipe her number it's endearing? Both ramble and get nervous around her, but people think this is sweet from Mayhem Leo but annoying from 12 Don.

Plus, Mayhem Leo has far more experience with humans than 12 Donnie. He has been going outside of the lair for a while, he has definitely seen other girls before. In 12, Donnie had never left the lair before the night he saw April, she's genuinely the first girl he's ever seen in person.

This point may also be a little unfair as we only have the Mayhem movie at the moment, compared to entire seasons of the 12 TV show, but it's also irritating me a bit how many people are acting like Mayhem Leo has far more of a chance with April than 12 Donnie did, purely because she agreed to go to prom with him, ignoring her line about how it was just as friends, and the many instances in 12 where April reciprocated Donnie's flirtation (again, April kissed him on the lips in the cartoon. It is canon that she did so).

Why are there so many double standards around the turtles having crushes? Either address all of their behaviour, or stop throwing 12 Donnie's flirting in our faces. It's exhausting seeing people openly bashing 12 Donnie, ignoring all of his great characteristics due to his crush, and then turning around and glorifying 12 Leo, Bay Mikey, or Mayhem Leo, or just ignoring their behaviour. It's grating to see almost every chat fic (even ones I thoroughly enjoy!!), have a seemingly obligatory bash 12 Donnie's crush and flirting chapter, yet hardly ever address the way any of the others behave.
