Comparison to the old version under the cut:

While I was redrawing this, I completely scrapped the base sketch three times, the first time after I'd completed most of the lineart, before I managed to make the pose seem right. Then, during the entire process of adding the base colors, then the shading and highlights, and while rendering the background, throughout all those processes I kept thinking "Why am I putting so much effort into this? It doesn't look anywhere near as good as the original, I'm gonna end up erasing all this!"

Well. This is why people say "trust the process".

Prayer request for all those who will be laid off at my company today, that no one in my market will be laid off, that all those impacted will not despair, that our company gets better leaders, for the families and friends of all those who are/will be impacted by this.

*puts hands on hollywood exec's shoulders, staring unblinking into their eyes* listen to me. you will never get people who hate musicals to like musicals by making your musical less of a musical. if you hide the fact that your film is a musical in the advertising, you're going to get a lot of low ratings from people who hate musicals and went into your movie not expecting a musical and got one anyway. people who hate musicals will hate them no matter how realistic and diegetic and lowkey you try to make it. they will hate musicals even if you completely excise anything complicated, over the top, silly, or even slightly challenging. they will hate musicals even if you cut half the songs. they will hate musicals even if you cast that a-lister who can't sing worth a damn. stop trying to market to people who hate musicals. they're a lost cause. your audience should be people who love musicals. this half-assed middle ground pisses off both camps. just embrace the fact that your movie is a musical. lean into it. don't try and trick musical haters into coming to your film when you could be marketing to the theater kids. better cringe than a coward.

Nichole Williams, 22 (USA 1997)

Nichole Williams already had a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old and a 7-year-old when she found out that she was pregnant with her fourth child. The 22-year-old mother underwent an abortion in 1997.

The abortionist was Robert Crist, who had a history of killing his clients. He was the killer of 19-year-old Diane Boyd, a disabled sexual assault victim who was forced into abortion. He was also linked to another teenage girl’s death (Latachie Veal) by abortion in Houston in 1991.

Nichole’s abortion was done in five minutes, indicating that not enough time was taken to lower the risk of severe injury. Seconds before the abortion was done, Nichole struggled to breathe. She was dying on the operating table.

The ambulance arrived 15 minutes later. Despite the attempts of the paramedics and the emergency room where Nichole was taken, she was pronounced dead at 3:12, only one hour and twelve minutes after the abortion began.

Nichole’s funeral was held at the New North Side Baptist Church shortly after her death. Her three surviving children were left without their mother and their youngest sibling.

Planned Parenthood of St. Louis owned the abortion facility, making Nichole another Planned Parenthood death.

Please pray for my friend who just found out she’s pregnant! She has recently expressed interest in going to church and getting to know God and then this happened. Everyone in her life so far it seems has told her she is better of aborting and I think I might be the only one who has tried to tell her she should keep her baby and I just think she needs prayers to see past the lies that abortion is the best option :(

Have you noticed how the worldly advice for how to know when you're ready for sex has shifted from:

"You should be in love with your significant other and trust them very much"

to:

"When you find that person you want to share your body with, you'll just know"

to:

"Just make sure you're safe [using a condom] and both people consent to the act"

We've gone from bad advice to really bad advice to absolutely abysmally horrible advice. I can only imagine what it's like being a teenager today.

The truth is, if you're not ready / too young for marriage, you're not ready for sex. And if you're ready for marriage, be an adult and get married first.
