First hospital selfie of #2021 !! First ER visit of the year (I think)! Counting it all joy! #Spoonie humor ... Sooo, you guys might remember that I had a bad fall last week and scraped the top of my foot up pretty badly, as well as my right knee. The knee is healing, but the foot has been swelling up, aching with sharp pains and tonight I noticed the sores are turning diabetic and not looking or feeling normal. My foot was hurting like hades tonight, so I came to the ER . The verdict? It's infected, swollen up to my calf, really painful, and not healing. They just have me my first dose of antibiotics, Norco for pain, and I am awaiting the results of an x-ray. The x-ray tech looked at my foot and exclaimed : "Whoa, you must have diabetes, huh?" 🤦 Anyway, I'm chilling like a villain with some pretty cool medical staff and I brought my book: The Symphony, on wealth building by @lynnrichardson to learn and keep my mind preoccupied. Doc just came in and x-ray was good! Heading home with tramadol and doxycycline prescriptions. 🙌 Thank you, Jesus. Night Life Loves... Wow! My sister just sent me this video and I had to share with you guys! As you all know, I suffer from many different chronic illnesses. So whenever I hear about something that works, I try it. I did hear about celery juice a couple years ago and I tried it once, but my juicer was a vintage hot-mess-express and I didn't like the taste either, so day one was day DONE. 😁🤦‍♀️ But after revisiting my ophthalmologist this week, I got some disturbing news about my eyes. So I have decided to go on a major Health Quest. This sounds like something I need to be doing and incorporating into my everyday diet, especially if I can get my numbers together and eliminate some of these symptoms. What do you think? Have any of you tried drinking celery juice for health benefits? If so, did you experience a significant change in your health and/or weight? Let me know in the comments below. How You Livein' Life Loves? 😍 This has been my reality this week. I had two days that I was bed bound. It sucks when that happens, but I agree with the sentiment below. Therapy has been a godsend. I talked to my therapist yesterday about how much I've been beating myself up this week over not being able to fully move out this weekend, or pack the way I would like to have, or gotten a lot of things done, especially with the weather below freezing and winter weather warnings. No one wants to help you move in conditions like that, so i iits been me and my kiddo going it alone. But even in the midst of flare-ups, not feeling well, loneliness and depression rearing its ugly head, God is blessing me. I had an incredible on-camera interview on Wednesday with a medical company that is going to bring awareness to diabetic retinopathy, and Im so excited about it! It was an amazing coming experience and I can't wait to see it. 🤗 We have to recognize the little wins, even whilst dealing with the pitfalls of chronic illnesses or just...of life. God is always in control, Jesus is still on our side and things WILL change. Just continue to have hope. I love you guys and I'm praying for you. 💖🙏 Have a splendid weekend.
