Ok I’m not saying I want Buck or Eddie hurt this season…..but if it were to happen and trigger some feelings realizations from both or either side I wouldn’t be mad…..bonus points if they’re trapped together somewhere and think they won’t make it out. 😈

“Why can’t Eddie and Buck just be friends?”

Because, dear fandom, they have not been set up as just best friends. Intentional or not, the way they have been cinematically filmed and edited, the way they have been written, and the way they have been acted scream romantic/sexual chemistry.

You want to watch meaningful male friendships? Go watch Psych, a show that portrays a best friendship with no romantic or sexual elements and does so quite beautifully.

Go watch Shawn and Gus and then compare them to Buck and Eddie.

I can respect the Tevan shippers who prefer Tommy over Eddie. That’s a matter of opinion. What is a matter of fact is the queer, homoerotic subtext that has been injected into this show between Buck and Eddie.

If you watch this show and don’t see that, I fear media literacy is dead.

I am not giving up on the couch theory, but I now have a new theory. As I call it the kitchen theory.

This is not going to be well written I do not have the energy to write an actual analysis, but it still gets the point across.

First we have Bucks kitchen the place Buck was when he insisted he had to go to. Eddie’s ceremony (because he wanted to be there for Eddie.) The place Eddie told Buck “there’s no one in this world I trust with my son more than you.” The place we’ve seen domestic family moments between the Buckley Diaz family, and we can’t forget the iconic “you wanna go for the title”. The place Buck came out to Eddie. The place where Eddie said it changes nothing between them, but we all know it will, but in the best way possible.

The place Buck and Taylor kissed, said I love you and where they said good bye to eachother. Basically most of the pivotal points for Buck Taylor happened in the kitchen.

Then you have this be the place where Tommy and Buck kissed where Buck realized he’s not straight. The place he was asked out on a date with a man for the first time.

However that’s not all then we have Eddie’s kitchen. The place Buck said “this is Eddie’s house I’m not really a guest.” The place Eddie and Ana’s relationship ended. The place where Buddie shared that conversation after Buck didn’t want to talk to anyone. Eddie let Buck come to him and then he was ready to talk.

Buddie roommates era season 7 ends with Buddie in Eddie’s kitchen…the kitchen is the heart of the home.

I couldn’t have even come up with this if Nicole hadn’t made a tiktok edit of Bucks kitchen

So tired of people saying “you can multiship” exactly YOU can Multiship if you want to, but I don’t ship both. I have in the past with other ships when I liked a character with more than one person, but it’s not my fault buddie is top tier and I’m positive no one will ever be better for them than each other. That doesn’t mean I hate Tommy I just don’t care for them as a couple. I gave them a chance and I don’t particularly care how long they are together. I also don’t like the argument like Buck “has to have a serious boyfriend before buddie could happen” buddie aside that’s gross there’s no wrong way or right way to be bisexual, and the way people are enforcing it like it’s a law is weird and not ok to do. Even if you’re going from personal experience everyone’s journey is different.

Maybe I’m insane but hear me out. Maybe the reason Edy looked like she was about to have a break down in that story awhile ago was because they told her she only had one more episode. Like maybe this is the end. It would make sense. You know she was upset because she found out her time was almost coming to an end. Maybe I’m just delusional but it’s what I’m holding onto. Buddie warriors we will not give up, not yet. We are too close.

I don’t know how many times people need to realize the story needs thought behind it…yes representation is important but the story is too. I’m sorry but two people immediately getting together is not good story telling in my opinion. I mean yes it could be beneficial for a temporary relationship but definitely not long term. Buddie has years of history together so me personally I see that as a better story, and a story we never see between two people of the same gender.

Also people need to stop acting like Eddie is evil and Tommy is some saint. Im not hating on Tommy, but don’t act like he didn’t make mistakes in the past.
