Mysterious Talking Heads Lost Song: Turn To Salt?

Well, it’s my first post on this new account and I already have something interesting to say.

Me, who likes playing guitar and ukulele and who’s special interest is Talking Heads, will certainly mix the two and play some covers from my favorite band.

However, while looking through the various submissions of chords and tabs for Talking Heads’ songs, I found this one song I had never heard before. It was called Turn To Salt.

And, of course, my curious brain wants to know everything there is to know about Talking Heads. I looked up this apparent song, to no avail. I searched up lyrics, the name, everything. No results. It was incredibly strange! With my curiousity peaked about this song’s origin, I turn to Tumblr again to try to find some answers. If any of you people know anything about this, I would LOVE to be educated.

As far as I can determine, the lyrics are not in the style of any Talking Heads song I have ever listened to, and doesn’t seem like something the members would write at all. My hypothesis is that there was one original submitter who wrote their own song put it under Talking Heads...for some reason.

That is all I have to say about that. Let me know if you guys find anything cool on this topic. Maybe I’m just missing something obvious, but it was still an interesting thing to search!
