Hey hey been following for a few years and especially love your "hood gothic" tag! 😊👌🏾 besides horrorcore (because I'm already including it in the playlist), do you know any good songs or artists that would fit this theme?

Hey! Thanks for following and thanks for the question.

When I think of the sound of “hood gothic” I think a lot more broadly of Southern Rap in general. I’m from North Alabama and that Memphis sound was dominant when I was growing up (mid/late 90s, early 2000s). So that’s my starting point.

If you’ve already included “horrorcore” I’ll assume Three Six Mafia and Geto Boyz are covered.

“Aggravated Robbery” by Project Pat literally sounds like the score for a horror movie.

More Memphis: “9 Little Millimeta Boys” and “Pimps in the House” by 8Ball & MJG. “EZ Come EZ Go” by M.C. Mack. “Miss White Cocaine” by Lil Sko.

Some GA/AL: “Vica Versa” by Pastor Troy. “Trial Time” by The Last Mr.Bigg.

I don’t think this is what you’re going for, but I’d even loop more regional stuff like chopped n screwed there as well.
