hiii, long time no see-

summer just around the corner, I feel like I want to learn some european languages, I want to talk to new people, I want to see fresh perspectives on things that I already know

but why it’s so hard to meet people in that modern age?? lol

like what should I do? write a sign “looking for friends” and go where??

for the past… MANY years I don’t have that much people to talk to, I mean NEW people

I got pretty lazy, when it comes to looking for friends… I’m disappointed haha

Time to reveal some truth

Lately I thought about my Japanese (study) journey, my feelings about it and just the future for this language (in my studies).

Like seriously… at some point (of course) I feel lazy sometimes, but not that much. I finally found PDF of a Genki book, but ended up quite disappointed… (spoiler: it’s not that bad)

Since I started learning Japanese not yesterday, the way they wrote every single word with hiragana made me quite bored.

Somehow I really fell in love with learning kanji. I never expected that, but it’s really relaxing to write them all over and over again. and it’s really satisfying when you recognize kanji that you learned.

Now I have an app where I learn kanji. My latest favorite is Kanji! - and I’m not sure if it’s actual name (but anyway). Something that I really appreciate about this app: 1) it have revision test; 2) you need to write kanji with strokes order.

FUTURE for japanese (未来)

Simply saying I’m gonna be patient with my studies, I’ll slowly go back to my blog and so on.

since I learned that grammar today.

as for the news... since today i decided to focus on korean, because i was almost terrified when my thoughts looked like that:

‘이것 本当に 좋아요’ 🙂

just when the door to korean suddenly closed after revising all japanese. so japanese will wait.

my handwriting probably got better, or it’s just pencil ✏️

p.s. i’m thinking of getting penpal from europe (just because of delivery), but I’m not sure

First post of the year 🍊

I have no idea what took me so long, but I didn’t have a vibe to write anything. Even thought I wanted to.

I “successfully” stopped learning Japanese (for a while), somehow it really hard to manage learning 2 languages at the same time. I started learning 3rd grade kanji, and stopped. (But) I will learn at least 6 grades (no matter how) since I anyway bought a book.

📖 And I can say that not everything that bad, I improved in Korean a lot. Improved pretty much everything. Speaking / listening / writing.

But there is still a lot to learn. For example VOCABULARY yeah here we go again. I always ignore vocabulary as much as I can, since I can’t enjoy forced memorization. But I realized that I could’ve express my thoughts better, if I had more vocabulary in my head. (oh really? how obvious, I would say haha)

How is your Korean progress? 🇰🇷

Yeahh Christmas mood around the corner... wish I could say that. But the only thing that around the corner is finals. Korean (& Japanese) is not a part of my major, but I still plan to have classes every weekend. I seriously hope we all can survive during that time and enjoy new year (eve).

About my studying process:

I making a lot of flash cards lately, because it’s only way to start recognizing and using this words in future.

Grammar and pronounciation I learn during the weekend with my teacher! 🇰🇷

Plans:

I want to cover all ‘basic korean’ vocabulary during December.

No updates for Japanese this time. But finally first post ever about Korean. (I’m not sure if I told before that I actually learn Korean)

If not, here I am to tell you... I’m learning Korean currently 🇰🇷

Today I had my 2nd class with a teacher and I’m so happy, because I feel that I’m learning a lot faster (especially grammar + pronunciation)

I’m not sure if I’ll be able to learn additional grammar, but I’ll try to learn additional words. I seriously need them.

I was gone for 2 months. Well... even I haven't seen that coming.

I’m college student (barely find time to sleep and eat), so I had no idea how to start writing something here again.

So, the main question is:

Q: Have I learned Japanese all that time?

A: Yes. Because I paid for app Kanji Garden and I just can’t waste money like that, so I learned 10-20 kanji a day for a month.

Also my book finally arrived.

Being honest, it’s not a beginner-friendly book, there is no English at all. ゼロ！

But it’s cheap (about 600 yen) and have really cute design.

To practice my writing I ordered some Campus notebooks. It’s the best paper I tried so far.

I think that’s it for now.

LANGBLR INTRODUCTION

About me

My blog name 沈黙 which means [silence] really simple and peaceful.

I started learning Japanese in January 2019, but my progress was really slow. So... Lately I decided to get some motivation from other people that achieve their goals faster.

I was so envy, because in a year someone was able to achieve N4-N3 level. But how? Where is my mistake? Is it because I can’t manage my time well? I asked myself this questions (really) and I’m here to find out.

So... Language goals

• Finish my JLPT N5 book

• Learn grammar more (because even if I recognize a lot of kanji, without grammar I can’t understand the meaning)

• Improve my English from Upper-Intermediate to Advanced (who knows, maybe)

I will update my goals time to time.

Blog goals

• Motivate myself to learn Japanese (more)

Let’s be honest, studying is always hard, I just want to make my studying process more entertaining.
