Do you not sell chocolates in your esty store anymore? The link in your bio didn't work.
I need to clean that up at some point. Yeah, I took the store down a while back. At the time I was working at a job that just left me with no time or energy for anything else, and trying to maintain stock and come up with new ideas just wasn't happening. I did sell out of everything, so it was a success at least.
I might come back to it someday, but like, I'm making chocolate as part of my day job now. I kinda just want to try something new. Maybe try making real dice.
Ok, I know I don’t really post here any more, and I don’t even have a decent camera on me, but I’m really happy with how these turned out and I wanted to share.
It’s white chocolate (becolade brand, I don’t usually use it but it’s good stuff) with blue and pink colouring on the shell and the filling is a white chocolate fondant with a bazooka joe shot mixed it. It’s literally alcoholic bubblegum flavour.
Just, the shine on the hearts looks great and the flavour turned out so GOOD. I love when I try something new and it works out.
I have officially sold my chocolates in a real professional kitchen/restaurant environment!
It’s a sports bar, admittedly. This is waaay to fancy for this place. But everyone who’s tried them loves them so far! Tomorrow I’m starting the next batch, gonna try something fancy.
My boss has declared that I’m in charge of everything to do with the chocolates, since he trusts me not to put out a bad product. He also wants me to decide on pricing. Now I have to live up to his expectations. Fucker is gonna make me use what I learned in culinary college!
Hey all. I’m alive! Been a while, and I wanted to share this little atrocity. My current job has decided to try selling my chocolates on menu. Not the first time this has happened, but it seems like these madmen are actually gonna go through with it. But unlike other places, this isn’t a nice-ish restaurant trying to be classy. This is a sports bar that doesn’t care. So I present these.
Jameson Whisky Ganache with Salted Pickle Caramel Syrup. Not in a shell yet, it’s just a proof of concept. But the flavours work! For those who don’t know, people like to drink whisky with a shot of pickle juice. Mostly to drown out the whisky, but there is an actual flavour combination going on there, and it does taste better than whisky by itself. It’s called a pickleback, and it translates to chocolate. My boss wanted me to try making it, and so far it’s a hit! The bar regulars all loved it, anyway. Target audience satisfied. Gonna make some fancier sounding chocolates to go with it, sell them in a variety pack type deal.
This is very silly to make, but in the age of the internet it’s fun to make something and be able to go “I’m pretty sure no one’s tried this before”.
Did you miss out on the 50% off Flash sale over Thanksgiving? That's okay-- there's still time to grab your favorite stink pretties at 20% off! This is part of Etsy's Cyber Sale and will continue through November 30th!
Okay, sale ran out, but I’ve still got a few more chocolates. I’m gonna keep it going for a few more days, but then I think I have to shut down the store. I can’t keep trying to juggle everything like this.
Blue and metallic pink dark chocolate dice. These were neat to make, they were actually a suggestion from @dnd-apothecary. They're available on the store now!
If you've got an idea for a chocolate dice set, let me know! I'd love suggestions.
These guys are on sale this week! Get them while you can!
Blacklight Chocolate dice! Gonna be uploading these on the store really soon, so if you like chocolate, dice, and blacklight this is worth seeing IMO. The colour is from Rolkem's lumo dust, really nice stuff to work with.
Black and neon orange chocolate dice for Halloween! This might be the best black I’ve ever made, usually when I try to airbrush black it comes out kinda splotchy. The orange looks a bit yellow under the blacklight.
