Happy Birthday to Brendon! ๐ŸŽ‚ @illbero โฃ We've been working together now for over a year and made some awesome changes. โฃ โฃ First, we focused on increasing strength and muscle while also rehabilitating the shoulder.โฃ โฃ Brendon has increased his strength considerably and made huge improvements to muscle size. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ชโฃ โฃ 4 months ago we reset the goal to drop some bodyfat in preparation for the big 40.โฃ โฃ Weight loss is never linear. We had ups and downs and had the odd off days where food wasn't the best. โฃ โฃ But overall, we still smashed our goal and looking in some of the best shape of his life.โฃ โฃ Well done Brendon super proud!โฃ โฃ Brendon had this to say:โฃ Big thanks to Chris Brine Fitness Group and everyone here for helping me through 4 months' hard mahi! So stoked to have dropped about 12 kg and not gone backwards too far in my lifting. Turns out the trick was to do exactly what Chris says! No cheating and be honest with him about food, cardio, etc. I really enjoyed having a goal for when I turned 40 yesterday๐Ÿฅณ . Was great to see the scales going down each week, and achieving a weekly goal made job changes and other things seem easier. Change comes slowly. Behavior change is hard and working on ourselves is very comforting and uncomfortable. The only way to be successful in improving yourself is being honest with yourself. But there is a difference between being honest with yourself and just hating on yourself. One we can learn from, the other only sets us back. Learn to accept the good and the bad. So you want to compete in bodybuilding ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ Reality check. Bodybuilding is hard. You will have to make sacrifices You will be hungry You will be tired You will be moody You will never be good enough for yourself Your mind will play tricks on you This is not an easy sport. You MUST work hard for months on end and stay on plan with your training, nutrition, cardio, mental health. This is not something to can start 16 weeks out. Look at 12 months, 24 months. We can execute the plan and get better results. โฃ โฃ Otherwise we tend to flounder and only do what we like or are comfortable doing.โฃ โฃ This Won't help you reach your go goals. โฃ โฃ ๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜'๐˜€ ๐—บ๐˜† ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ต?โฃ What I do for training with my clients is focus on a variety of phases.โฃ โฃ Priority is on form, technique, and control. This is because we want to train for a long tume and not just try to PB every set.โฃ 1 rep PBs don't improve strength, they improve confidence and ego. Confidence is important in training but it's not going to nature you stronger. โฃ I move my clients through different phases, like movement, stability, strength, power, explosive, etcโฃ โฃ And every 8 weeks we change the plan. โฃ This is to keep you motivated and challenged in your training. โฃ โฃ We work on progressively overloading each session.โฃ โฃ By changing the plan every 8 weeks we not only keep it interesting but we can mitigate plateaus and sneak in mini deloads as you adjust to the new plan every 8 weeks.โฃ โฃ Can you run 1 plan for longer? sure you can, as long as you're progressing then you're good. But what tends to happen is our intensity drops subconsciously as we are getting bored of the training.
