1990. Left-handed. I'll like/reblog anything that strikes my fancy... This is also where i spazz/fangirl/express my thoughts and emotions towards books that i've read, dramas or movies i've watched, music i like to listen to, and some of the male species in some parts of East Asia (lol but i'm not even joking. ha.) also i am totally bad at editing and tend to post screenshots waay too much (bare with me).... i know that this blog can be confusing...and if you follow me you'll find it even more confusing. i also post some stuff of my own because i''m trying to be really creative for some reason. ------>>>Little doses of sanity and huge gulps of insanity.
to be an eldest daughter is to find bittersweet comfort in doing the dishes at night, in tidying the living room, in driving your younger siblings places, in making tea for everyone who sets foot in your house. to be an eldest daughter is to enjoy cooking for other people but not yourself, to keep all spaces but your own bedroom clean, to becoming used to placing everything else above your own needs. it is sitting on your grandparent's couch expected to speak when your siblings do not, laugh at the bigoted things they say unknowingly about you, to smile and nod as they interrogate every single detail of your outfit. it is learning to dress dull at family outings. it is hiding Yourself to be What They Expect. it is a everburning fear of failure, fear of cracking, fear of breaking, fear. constants will always be pressure and steeped expectations and you will always be the motherfatherchild.
There's this kdrama scene that's stuck in my head, i can't remember the drama or the actors in it..
The scene goes...
It's raining..and the female lead is in a convenience store...she was about to leave when the person at the counter stops her and gives her an umbrella...turns out the male lead, who i think was with her earlier and they probably had an argument before he left the store, bought her the umbrella...
If you happen to read this post and have any idea about this kdrama please comment!😂😂 it's been stuck in my head for days..i don't know if it's a fairly recent drama..or something i watched ages ago...
