For the Artist Ask Game: 5 and 16? :D

Hi! I. Blatantly forgot about this. Hilariously. And had to go digging for that ask game again. Anyways, answers to your questions:

5: What piece of art are you still proud of to this day?

Evidently, I don't have a copy of it on the computer that I'm on right now, cuz I made it long before I got this one, but it's the one of Elven Scar from season 9 sitting in front of his giant tree starter base. It's from like 2021 I wanna say?? Very green. That said, it's definitely one of my generally better pieces, it's pretty nice compositionally and it has pretty good perspective and lighting and stuff and it reads well small, which is nice. Out of all the art I've made in the past several years, that has to be one I'm quite proud of.

There is another one that I'm quite proud of as well, from early 2022 that I never posted cuz it was an OC piece- but I drew one of my OCs lying in a bed of roses and bones and I hand drew hundreds of roses twice over in my sketchbook and then digitally. It literally took a month for me to finish it and I'm also quite proud of that one, though I don't plan to post it as of now.

16: What is something you used to struggle to draw with confidence / ease, but have now mastered?

This is an interesting one, because I,,, don't think I've mastered,,, anything?? I don't think there's anything that I can sit down and draw with 100% consistency every time and I don't know that I'll ever get there. Which is okay with me, because I don't care about technical mastery in the ways I used to. I'm gonna make art fun for myself again, so help me.

I was going to cell shade this, but that just looked kinda meh so painterly shading it is. I know it's not "consistent" or whatever but some things just don't work cell shaded. Cell shading always for comics tho lol

Have a random Cult of the Lamb doodle that I sketched late last night on a whim and put absolutely no pressure on which made it easier to draw that I finished today cuz I felt like it which was quite fun and I'm vibing with it. This post continues to get a lot of attention so I feel the need to follow it up with another Narinder dies and I had to resurrect him story:

Same save. He keeps getting into fights with this one guy. Well that one guy killed him cuz they thought it was funny so I had to bring Narinder. Back from the dead. Again.

I don’t understand why my guy keeps dying. But. Here we are. Maybe I’ll make another comic about that one day. No promises tho

So, quick story here: When I'd unlocked the One Who Waits as a follower and leveled him up a bit, I decided to send him out on a little mission trip to gather resources. Well, he died. So I brought him back. Cuz after going to all that effort to free and then fight him, I wasn't about to let him die. Not gonna happen (lol). So I made a silly little comic about it.

This turned out a bit darker (visually) and a bit more. Green. Than I intended. But I stand by it looking nice. This was honestly an "I haven't drawn a human character in like 2 weeks I forgot how to draw humans so I gotta draw a human" so. Scar. Also good for him for winning Secret Life, man deserves it :D

A random short comic based on an NPC that I encountered on a crusade while playing Cult of the Lamb that absolutely. Broke my brain and made me think very hard about my life philosophies for a solid month and a half.

Of course the dialogue isn't game accurate, but I have some reasons: Number one, the comedic value of Lambert questioning who the dissenter is talking to (the face of a Lamb who knows full well they are the last of their kind but wants to question who the dissenter is talking to for giggles). Number two, I came across this NPC a month and a half ago and cannot for the life of me remember what they said.

Maybe I doodled this in hopes that this year will be better than the last one. Who knows. But it was fun to work on and I like how it turned out, so I hope that throwing this out here into the internets, someone will like it.

It's a teensy bit empty but the shop is, in fact, open, I've got 2 stickers on there that I designed for Halloween that are just kinda spooky and cute (this is the Halloween is a mindset website after all). Notably, I'm gonna be shipping just within the US for now, cuz apparently mailing outside the US is quite expensive, but at some point I'll be sorting that out so I can mail internationally. I figure yall should have these, they’re the product of my ongoing art style crisis and wanting to try and get more ‘shapes’ and ‘vibes’ into my character designs so I tested it on some hermits / life series folks. Not gonna argue that the anatomy is entirely “accurate” or whatever but I’m also trying to be more okay with stylizing anatomy. :P
