I dont hear enough people talk about Stede's talk in s2 Ep 1 about how he's not afraid Ed's gunna kill him, even when his friends and the whole world are afraid of him and want him DEAD.... he's not afraid to be killed bu the man he loves, in fact he would let Ed kill him if that would make him feel better.

Guys Stede is afraid that Ed would be better off without him, that Ed would even reject his feelings after abandoning him on the dock.

People saying that Kitty liking Yuri was "random" or "forced"...wtf. that is literally the bisexual experience, because of heteronormativity many of us don't notice we are bi because we can focus on the "normal" side of the spectrum that society told us we should want!!!! That's literally what heteronormativity does to us and Kitty's journey in realizing her sexuality is 10000% realistic.

Half of the MAIN characters are queer openly, kiss people of the same sex on screen and talk about it and they have beautiful well written coming out scenes and stories and are even more complex than just being "the queer characters", plus it's well written all around for the type of show!!!!!!! This is exactly what I want to see more of

Okay, but what I like about XO, KITTY is that it’s hormonal and messy and exactly like teenagers should be without it being weirdly sexualized. Yeah, they’re fooling around and figuring things out, and they have a new crush every other week but at no point does it feel like a fantasy made up by some pervy, Hollywood director. It’s all very sweet and innocent and its totally normal to not find your person in high school and sometimes people end up with the wrong people. And its okay. It’s all part of the journey. Older teen shows were very like, “you are my soulmate and we HAVE to end up together” and its just nice to see a show that is very normal about what teens dating is actually like. Nobody knows what they are doing but they are going to have fun while they are.

I am so sick of people guilt tripping lesbians when we that say we feel queer baited by Sophie and Agatha. Aside from them already being heavily queer coded as individuals (I already made a separate post about that) – they fucking kissed in the movie. On the lips, might i add. Before y’all start coming to me with the whole bs that is, ‘oh no it was supposed to be platonic!!’ and ‘kissing doesn’t have to romantic!!’.

I KNOW that. But let’s be real for a second. They kissed (on the lips) in a climactic moment, revealing that they were each other’s true love. If this had been a guy and a girl – y’all would have never implied that shit was platonic. Hell, even if it was two guys!! That’s not how friends act! 

I feel like this is adding to the whole rhetoric that ‘Lesbian relationships are not serious’ and ‘oh they’re just really good friends’. 

We were queer-baited. I don’t care who you ship. I don’t care that Soman himself is queer. This film is reaching a wider audience and can potentially add to the negative representations of sapphics in media. 

Stop guilt tripping us. We deserve to be upset. And hopefully, we can influence the writers to retcon that stupid sisters twist. This doesn’t mean that agaphie has to be endgame (tagatha can still be) – but i’d at least like an explicit confirmation for a little while.

Just realized something devastating about BD Ep8

So you know how Kazuki called Rei after Rei finished the job, when he was just sitting there?

I was like "why would Kazuki call him if he knew he was on a job, that could have been really dangerous if his timing was bad"

In fact, I was even worried that Kazuki would call him while he's fighting, throwing him off and causing him to get hurt (so much angst potential oof)

But Kazuki's timing was too good. So I'm guessing the GPS in Rei's phone is accurate enough that Kazuki could see he'd been in the exact same spot for a while, not moving around like before.

Knowing Kazuki, there must have been a moment, maybe right before he called, where he thought the reason why Rei wasn't moving was because he was dead or badly hurt. There must have been a moment, however tiny, where Kazuki thought he'd lost another partner and parent to his child.

Maybe that's why he called when he did.
