I changed my major since the last time I’ve been on here - I’m an applied math major and I’m in my junior year (finally).

Physics stopped sparking joy but my math classes make me so happy :)

I’m in DE2 this semester so I hope to get some fun notes posted!

Working on condensing my calc 3 notes because I feel too exhausted to think. I really like the switch to Whitelines but I don’t want to use them for my messy lecture notes. Also why I dated this for October is a mystery even to me.

the thing abt diet culture is that there’s no way any junk food could possibly be more self destructive than viewing your own body as not only a separate entity from yourself but as an enemy to be conquered

Oh god this resonates so much. I don't know how to communicate the emotions I felt being one of like 3 women in a class while all 20-30 guys around me made rape jokes and laughed and told me to lighten up when I complained, or talked about "what type of Asian is your favourite" like we were breeds of dog or cuts of meat, or hear the guy beside me say "who cares?" when the prof announced that the first woman had just won the fields medal, or even just the blatant staring when I walked into class like I was some kind of foreign object.

#this is literally why I’ve been asserting myself so much in calc 3 #it’s the first time I don’t have another girl to rely on for comfort and I want to make sure I’m not treating like an object

06.09.21 / had set out to do quite a lot and didn’t quite accomplish everything, but at least I dropped by (virtual) QM office hours, attended german class and finished typing out the nuclear phys assignment. Might try to get some stuff done for my project for the rest of the night
