Hi hello I made something new! I’m sure some of you might agree that the game is lacking in swimming suits for all ages and genders. CC for this category is something I’m deeply lacking on, as well, but I’ll rectify that probably this weekend with a good spree. I figured I would also play a part in adding some variety to all the swimsuit options out there. Abstract patterns have been growing in popularity among recolors and since I’ve access to a stock account I have hoarded a mass amount of patterns (seriously in the 500s someone please help me) and decided it was time to make use of some. The making of this swimsuit went pretty well! I didn’t have much trouble with it at all, thanks to @saurussims‘s help and advice from past projects! Seriously, I asked her so many questions and screamed WHHHHYYY when something went wrong more times than I can count. I really commend everyone who makes CC, whether they’re just starting out like me, or fluent in the art that this is. Once again @sims-enthusiast used her gorgeous sims to model this suit for you all today and also played the role of photographer while I simply edited and cropped the images. One day I may be good at in-game photography, but as Aragorn said before the battle at the Black Gate of Mordor, “But it is not this day!” Download and info you really care about under the cut! <3

You guys don’t know me, but I’m an avid CC lover and lurk a ton of Tumblrs. Over the last 7 months I have just started creating CC by recoloring items from the game and meshes from a few creators. I’ve released everything prior to the dress above exclusively to the members in my Discord server, but now… this dress… I release to all on Tumblr. I have to say, this is a bit intimidating. Anywho, this dress is inspired by @simmingbee’s post regarding #simmerssavethebees. It’s a super late release considering Earth Day has already passed, but I struggled a bit with the texture of the skirt on this dress. It was very pixelated and discolored. @saurussims  gave me some tips and I combated the pixelation as much as possible and am comfortable releasing it at its current, modest quality! @sims-enthusiast used her beautiful sims as models and took this lovely preview for me! (I really suck at in-game photography.) I did a tiny amount of editing and color adjusting. Download under the cut! <3

Hi! I'm so happy that you're using them! They are seriously my favorite eyes! Since I've been out of the CC making world I will have to figure out how to do that. Before answering your message I downloaded a file to see where the texture sits in the image and it seems like I could do it, but you'll have to give me a bit. :)

I don't know if I'm officially back yet, but this past week I've been playing Sims and experiencing all the changes that have happened while I hadn't been playing. It's been an interesting challenge playing without mods and CC -looks at the 50 glasses of water spread about the house-. Today I caved and added my Build/Buy CC back into the game after batch fixing all of it and I decided I needed my beloved default eyes by @chiefwhiskers (original post here). I searched all around Google to see if they were updated for infants and I couldn't find anything, so I've gone ahead and updated them myself. Download info under the cut!

Where can I find the fins on your mermaid tails?

Since this was asked so long ago and I never received a notification I don’t know if you’ll see this response, but I’m not sure what you’re asking. My mermaid tails are simply EA’s tails and no mesh is required. If you’re thinking accessories are required that’s not the case either - but the only optional accessory is the nude tops so you aren’t forced to put a bikini top on your mermaid. If I haven’t answered your question feel free to ask again and I will do my best to answer you!

How to group your custom contents together in CAS

This method is easy and apply to the entire package.

Required: Sims4Studio, CAS Tool 

Step 1: Open MTS_CmarNYC_1908634_S4CASTools_3_2_1_0 zip file, locate S4CASTool.exe, double click to run that file, enter your creator name and check for that it is the right directory to your The Sims 4 folder, hit Save.

Step 2: Have your package ready, I will choose this hair package from Sims4Studio

Step 3: In TS4 Cas Tools program, click on Clone Package Editor tab, click Select button right below to choose the package you want to change.

Step 4: locate the Order in CAS function, it will show the number of the original package you cloned from, the higher the number, your file will appear at the bottom in CAS. Change the number to what you prefer, I change it from 170 to 100

Step 5: When you’re done, hit Commit Changes button, and Save Package. 

Step 6: Put that package in your Mods folder and open The Sims 4 game.

You can see the original pig tail hair is at the bottom for (170) while my new package is above the original (100). 

To sort your cc nicely, I recommend change to number in decimal, like what I did here, you probably won’t have 100+ hairs to make it to the next whole number lol. Also, every category won’t conflict with each other’s order. 

You can use CAS Tool to apply changes for the whole package instead of each swatch like Sims4Studio, with other function like Sort Layer, Composition Method. This is super helpful to update your old packages or new hair packages (that already had 18 swatches)

HELLO EVERYONE

I’m still here! Well, not here here since I haven’t been on Tumblr at all, really. But just wanted to pop in and let anyone who cares or who may at least be wondering what I’m up to that I’m still around. I am most active on Discord.

I haven’t really had the motivation to get into making new CC - I mean my game’s not updated, I haven’t touched it in months, and I’m certainly not looking forward to updating all my mods. It’s been a huge turn off and the main reason I haven’t had even the slightest spark to open the game. Plus I’ve heard the new EP’s patch is going to break build/buy CC sooooooooo... you know, everything’s wonderful. :rollingeyes: 

I do have some build/buy CC in my server, S4MM, so if any of you have it I suggest removing it when you patch your game. That actually goes for all build/buy CC that’s exclusive to the server. Remove all of it and as soon as I am able I will get it updated and compatible with the recent patch. I’ll make announcements about this in the server rather than here, though.

I still at some point want to get my dress fixed and released for all of you, because I put so much work into it and I’d hate to never release it.

Hello! Small update

Hey guys! I just want to let you know that I haven’t abandoned CC making or anything like that, especially the dress I was working on, but I’m having issues with part of it not sliding as it should when you put some weight on your sim. Since I haven’t been dealing with meshes a lot when making CC this is an issue I don’t know how to fix, so I’ve set it aside for the moment until I have time to really sit down and figure it out. I wanted to give everyone a little update.

If I have time to make some other things that are quick and easy I may knock them out, but we’ll see. I haven’t opened the game in a few weeks and certainly haven’t looked at anything to make for a while, so we’ll see. I do have unfinished projects so maybe I can get them finished and released at some point. <3

As far things unrelated to Sims I’ve been playing Planet Zoo, replaying Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Switch in order to have it 100% complete before the sequel comes out (originally had it on the Wii U), and Link’s Awakening, plus buying cookbooks and now I need a second bookshelf.

Personal update

Hello everyone! I thought I’d give you an update on me since I’ve been pretty quiet across all social media. First, let me give you an update on my dress since it’s been forever since I started it and have yet to release it. I was just about to release it but when @retroesque took the previews I noticed a hole in the crotch of the dress on both sides. Only shows up with reshade. Now, I’m still new to making CC and since I’ve made nothing after the dress I’d say my rustiness with troubleshooting mesh errors is ever present, but I believe it’s a UV-1 issue, so hopefully will be an easy fix. Hopefully.

So, if you care to know more about my life outside of the computer, read on.

In a word where we want it to be okay to talk about our issues and struggles with depression I’m going to open to you guys about mine. I’ve been struggling with depression for 10+ years. In that time frame I’ve had really good points and really low points. Right now I’m lower than I’ve ever been. Before my promotion at work the only thing keeping me from staying in bed all day and ghosting my job was the fact that I have little mouths to feed. I’ve got a bearded dragon, cats, and a dog. No matter how low I get I will always make sure they have good food to eat and are taken care of. Myself? Eh - my depression doesn’t allow me to care about me. But my promotion has helped me keep my head just above water and for a good month I thought I had overcome my mental state, but what do you know, depression crept right back.

Any who, this isn’t one of those pity me posts. Everyday I’m not sad about my current state, so I definitely don’t need pity. Everyday I think about how the hell to get myself out of this hole. “Just get up and do something that makes you happy, even if that something is very small.” That phrase doesn’t work on me. I don’t know what does work for me. I’ve tried many things over the years, and I’ll continue to keep trying because living with depression is exhausting. 

So, while I’m not actively posting I am here (because I’ve always been a computer nerd). I just won’t look like I am here. Thank you guys for sticking around! I really appreciate it! I do hope to continue to create more CC, but for right now, I need it to not feel like a task otherwise I’ll drop it entirely.

So yesterday while I was working on my 1k follower dress and its overlays I removed the straps as planned and realized I REALLY love the dress without straps. I mean, look at that neck line! I love it so much. I showed a screenshot to some friends on Discord and had the immediate thought to remove the straps from the original top, and that’s exactly what this download is.
