How to explain asexuality? (Or at least, my own experience of it...) It's similar to not liking a particular type or flavour of food. For me, that would be say marzipan or coconut. Now, loads of people think marzipan is delicious. How can someone not like marzipan?! Well I just don't. Why? I don't know why. For the same reason you don't like other particular types of food. Don't get me wrong, it would be great to like marzipan! Those marzipan fruits you get at christmas look absolutely gorgeous and I sometimes get sad that I wouldn't enjoy eating them. Even to the extent that sometimes I force myself to try them, just in case this time I miraculously like marzipan. But the results are always the same. Bleh. Nasty. Definitely not for me. Why did I question my own good taste? I'd rather have a non-metaphorical cake thank you. Jeez. Marzipan. What was I thinking?
