lilacs bloomed that evening. the moon was born again and the sun was still peaking from the horizon. pieces of my heart, he placed them on the table and i met with a proud smile after he completed the jigsaw puzzle. he made it feel so easy. like nothing had happened. i let the hot vapours of the tea lure the fly in. i let the fly get devoured that day. nothing mattered, neither life nor death. i remember suffering, lingering at the threshold, covered with shades of shame. he let my hair loose and watched me watching him. he read me all in a half an hour of eye-contact and i let all of my secrets be his, in a minute eyebrow twitch. i knew then not what it was. but i knew that he was closing the doors. i knew that the war was over. and it never started again.

Bought new tea and mugs. The tea smells amazing and I can’t wait to try it.
