It still annoys me that Star Trek writers decided everyone's reaction to Lwaxana Troi hitting on them should always be to turn her down. You're telling me that there wasn't a single person on the USS Enterprise or Deep Space Nine who wanted a Hot MILF DTF Near You? A woman so intensely horny that she had the power to make an entire space station horny through the sheer power of her mind? No one wanted to tap that? Be serious.

well let me share with you about something! so our precious doctor julian bashir was captured also! well of course in his test he dreams about garak? garak existing in julian’s test in a way how julian wants him to react. the mighty garak doing tricky tricky plans for julian’s well-being (c’mon, real garak would do the same for you, julian. and you know it)

perfect garak behaviour for julian? hell yeah boy you want him even more fruiter (it’s impossible)

PSA: Don't use Open Office

I keep seeing people recommending Open Office as an alternative to Word, and uh... look, it is, technically, an open source alternative to Word. And it can do a lot of what Word can, genuinely! But it is also an abandoned project that hasn't been updated in nine years, and there's an active fork of it which is still receiving updates, and that fork is called LibreOffice, and it's fantastic.

Seriously, if you think that your choices are either "grit your teeth and pay Microsoft for a subscription" or "support free software but have a kind of subpar office suite experience", I guarantee that it's because you're working with outdated information, or outdated software. Most people I know who have used the latest version of LibreOffice prefer it to Word. I even know a handful of people who prefer it to Scrivener.

Open Office was the original project, and so it has the most name recognition, and as far as I can tell, that's really the only reason people are still recommending it. It's kind of like if people were saying "hey, the iPhone 14 isn't your only smart phone option!" but then were only ever recommending the Samsung Galaxy S5 as an alternative. LibreOffice is literally a version of the same exact program as Open Office that's just newer and better – please don't get locked into using a worse tool just because the updated version of the program has a different name!

Sometimes I do a Garak rewatch, just watch all the episodes he was in. I accomplish this by keeping Andy's IMDb page open and just scrolling down to his list of DS9 episodes. There's a post on here where someone made a nice graphic list of all his episodes but I just use IMDb cuz I'm lazy

I'm watching ds9 and I'm so sorry people who are obsessed with secondary/supporting characters. I get it now I understand your pain I am one of you. every episode I'm like man I hope I see my guy garak this time. I miss my guy garak. and almost every time there is no fucking garak. just watched the ep shadowplay and when bashir MENTIONED garak I leaped into the air and clapped my hands and cheered. crazy behavior. good show though. I am enjoying it
