You know what I don't blame Shigaraki for coming up with stupid plans of villainy at the beginning of the story I mean look at All for one's plans!
I will never get over the fact that everyone in universe made fun of Tomura for having no ambition/vision of what he wanted to do as a villain when the freaking Symbol of Evil canonically became who he is because of a comic he never even finished.
The hauntings au: what if izuku knew the local heroes because he kept getting saved? Ghost's would lead him to roofs or other places where they died and izuku would very much look like he was about to take his own life, even if he wasn't. so a hero or a vigilante would swoop in and grab him.
Maybe he keeps meeting eraserhead, and the hero is Very not happy seeing this kid on five different rooftops at 2 am.
Izuku gets into UA, sees eraserhead and is like 'oh no it's eraserhead' and aizawa, seeing izuku in file and during the entrance exam, is like 'oh no it's the problem child'
Also, Does Inko know abt the ghost things? I feel like she'd know her son could see and hear Something, but I think a young izuku mightve told her abt some ghosts or smth.
Inko definitely knows about his abilities and worries over him but let's him try to help them as long as he's safe while doing so!
Izuku get's led to alot of sketchy locations, and quite a few rooftops, which is very destressing to a number of heroes. the number of times that Izuku has to convince a hero that "no he is not trying to kill himself, that he is in this isolated sketchy area for business reasons" is too many to count. very few believe him.
Eraserhead finds him the most out of any hero and Izuku has tried to explain but he never does a very good job of it.
though Izuku does try to pass on information through Aizawa to Naomasa about murders and whatnot.
