LOVE the blood jumpscare! have you talked abt your thought process behind drawing blood before? not necessarily a tutorial, but favorite parts or coloring quirks, etc?

the shape of the splatter/drip is the most important to me, often I’ll just use a dark red on multiply. My personal favorite part, though, is putting a darker red on thicker/fresher blood

I only do highlights if I feel like it’ll be easy cause they’re often not necessary. Also it’s good to not overdo. The blood in the first pic kind of looks like juice cause it’s so shiny but I liked how it looked so I kept it that way

Blue’s Feathers and Wings Compendium: Standard Wing Shapes

Wings Part 1 [Standard ]| Wings Part 2 [Atypical] | Feather Markings | Tail Feathers [Part 1] | Tail Feathers [Part2]

I have expanded the traditional 4 types; Highspeed, Elliptical, Low Aspect and High Aspect ratio, because they were very narrow and vague categories for the most part, adding High Energy, Thermal Soaring, Night Glider, and Passerine wings. I feel that these extra types make it easier to understand and visualize the differences and similarities between wing shapes.

I’ve renamed Low Aspect to Powered Soaring, and High Aspect to Dynamic Soaring for the purposes of the fact that names made it hard to understand purpose and were easily confusable. 

A lot of these wing types are also affected by tailfeather shape and size, and that will change their agility and energy expenditure as the tail also generates lift.

Made this because my other “ms paint tips” post is going around, but the images in it were only made as supplemental material for a paper i had to write and dont include all the necessary information on how the tricks work. As a result people are getting very confused when they try them out to unfavorable results. I hope all those people find this post and their confusion can be cleared up.
